Andrew Bolt admits he almost resigned over Voice proposal

- Sky News host Andrew Bolt has revealed he almost resigned over the Indigenous Voice to Parliament proposal as he had “lost faith” in Australians.
“Over Christmas, I told my wife I’d have to resign this year because I couldn’t understand this country anymore,” Mr Bolt said.
He said at the time polls revealed nearly two-thirds of Australians backed the proposal as major corporations poured millions of dollars into the Yes campaign.
“No one dared say No - of course, the bullying was so bad - but then something amazing happened.
“Over the past year, the polls have shown that the Voice went from two-thirds support to now approaching two-thirds against.”
Mr Bolt said he has found the tide change “inspiring” as it shows Australians can’t be “bought off” with money or frightened by bullying.
I think Anthony Albanese should resign or be sacked for dividing our nation by race.
He should be charged with treason.
He should be charged with treason and spend the rest of his pathetic demonic life in a rat infested cell
100%
You are a racist. It shows that Australians are actually very shallow.
The knucklehead Albanese should pack his bags in the middle of the night and slink away in the darkness, well let's hope!!
Paying the rent means closing the gap for them.
Sick ideology from greedy activists.
The gap is closing rapidly, mainly due to white 'aboriginals' now ticking the box to claim aboriginality, therefore averaging out all the dreadful reality of remote community social conditions. It's morally corrupt, but that's what is occurring with the unbelievable growth rate (indicated) of the aboriginal population.
@@Gusto0172 Should be MANDATORY to provide a DNA sample to claim indigenous status. Too many Gubbah claiming to be Aboriginal.
@@Gusto0172 Yeah, the tick question was always,'are you Torres strait islander or aboriginal' to 'are you Torres strait islander or aboriginal descent'. The 'descent' word encouraged every one out there to say why not and tick the box.
@@vk3xemonthewebbe careful what you wish for. The correct approach is all Australian's treated the same under the same rule of law. No other, no exceptions. People are Australian or they are not. No one has the right to demand my dna and I will never consent to it being taken. Nor would I expect anyone to.
Just laws don't advantage any particular group over others. Laws that are unjust forfeit legitimacy of authority.
It's not enough to react to a problem. We must look past the problem to the cause and address the situation which allowed the problem in the first place.
@@MadHeadzOz As long as there are SPECIAL BENEFITS for indigenous people there will be FAKES applying for these benefits, that is exactly why there needs to be DNA testing.
Please don't resign anytime soon Andrew! You are wanted and needed in this country as one of the few voices of reason and truth ! Yours is the "VOICE" Australia actually does need!

I used to be a Labor supporter but they have lost the plot
I'm so glad you have seen the light and can admit you made the wrong choice. Labor, liberals and the greens are all corrupted monsters that take orders from the WEF and UN. All they care about is money and not the Australian people.
I once worked for a Labor federal MP … but in the years that followed they have really lost the plot.
I read somewhere that 16 of the poorest seats in the country are held by non Labor MPs. That would never of happened 30-40 years ago when Labor at least pretended to support the working class.
Every Labor PM since WW2 has been sacked whilst in office except one.
So true.I have made a promise to myself that I will never forget being asked to vote against my fellow Australians and for that Labor will never get my vote again

I really like your comment. Too many successful local indigenous programs have been closed down by city élites. It would probably get worse with an unelected Canberra based Voice, too.
There’s nothing like local knowledge and local people working out what works and what doesn’t. This should be encourage not discouraged.
Agree, I live remote area of WA, city people have No Idea of reality
Rich elitest inner city people sitting in their air conditioned offices, telling people they have absolutely no connection with at all, just how to do it.

Gets fed then grows then becomes overinflated then it becomes destructive.
Especially when its given to people that have no inner Power, no power over themselves, so desperately need it over others,
The Labor party are a great example of this, biggest bullies in politics, they also support big business over small business, why you ask, because us small business owners don't belong to a union & dont want to that's why.
Just look what they just did FOR Quantas ...
Yet they're always spouting off that it's the opposition that supports big big business, when in fact the opposition are all for small business, when liberals are in us small business owners do much much better, and this flows on into our surrounding community, because we spend all our money local and we support other small businesses as well. 😊
@@ButlerProspect I agree. And this is why some remote area indigenous groups are somewhat cautious and even sceptical of a Canberra based Voice. This despite the honey phrases about remote area representation in the Voice representatives (not stated as to how this would come about).
I also wonder how many of these somewhat affluent white Yes campaigners have ever left their cushy inner city homes and even ventured out to look at disadvantaged remote area settlements?
I did quite some years ago. It was an eye-opener. A world away from the bright lights of major cities, and even fairly minor rural towns that still have basic amenities.
As an outsider looking in, I hope that Australians defeat this referendum.

He wasHead of all the Land Councils for 25 years. Investigating really should be on how these alleged on Noel Pearson and Yunupingu their wealth, also other Aboriginal‘s? Who have millions, was this from Government and taxpayers money, that should have been helping the real aboriginals that needed help??? Allegedly!

The scale of incompetence and mismanagement of this "industry" is epic. Now, add to this the following ~ 3,278 Aboriginal Corporations, 243 Native Title Bodies, 48 Native Land Councils, 35 Regional Councils, 122+ Aboriginal Agencies, 3 Indigenous Advisory Bodies, 145 Health Organisations, 11 Indigenous Federal Members of Parliament, 12 Culturally Important Indigenous Days, Expenditure per Indigenous Australians 2012 was $43,449, Expenditure per non-Indigenous Australians 2012 was $20,900, Taxpayers contribute yearly $39.5 billion or >$100 million/day for Indigenous Australians.
Any chance you can get this text into / onto a wider platform than UA-cam comments? It’s really important that this gets widely distributed 🙏🏻
Kamahl tried to do this on the left wing Project show the other day and was humiliated by the hosts.
What a disgrace that was !.
And they say they are not represented!!!
Andrew, I believe that Voting Campaigners are supposed to be NO closer than 6 METRES to the Voting Building - yet those YES Campaigners are at the Door... where is the AEC Enforcing voting Regulations..that's blatant intimidation...
Come on Andrew keep the faith in Australia even though the authorities don't.
So glad you stayed Bolt.
We are still here, just overshadowed by Yes graffiti.
But Australians dont really like to be picked on or pushed into signing a blank cheque or change to the constitution with unknown details. Gotta say I kinda lost faith myself. Thanks for giving us the truth.
Im still voting no.
So glad you didn't resign.
Irony? I do hope.
oh keep ya panties on hes not going anywhere no one else would have him lol
Great Work Thank you Andrew ! Already VOTED NO !
This segment should be shown on all commercial tv networks
>> Mr Andrew > DON'T RESIGN > WE THE PUBLIC NEED YOU < Keep Up the GREAT WORK < 👍
My frustration is also running out BUT I'm still around to support you and the SKY NEWS.
Jacinta and Warrèn deserve all the kudos, all the plaudits and the thanks of this whole nation for their staunch, unfailing faith in all they stood for, and in their own knowledge of the state of play as it stood.
To Andrew Bolt, thank you very much for your expertly enlightening hard honest work about the Voice and the yes campaigners lies and deceptions. Your contribution to the debate is immeasurable. Without your contribution our knowledge would be lesser. Many, many, thanks. :)
Well said and well done Andrew Bolt. Thankyou.
I hope that one day soon we can finally have a prime minister that we can be proud of, it's been a while!
You’re correct here. I found Bob Hawke inspirational. John Howard did a good, steady job. But the rest? I think one would need to go back to John Curtin. And the last time a Prime Minister retired undefeated, we have to go back to 1965 !! 😮
Since then we have had 6 PMs rolled by their own parties: Gorton; Hawke; Rudd; Gillard; Abbott; Turnbull.
@@penguinvic9892don’t forget that it was Tony Abbot who stopped the boats…kudos to him for doing that.
@@looloo4029 Well, yes, Abbott did do what he promised, which was not easy. I haven’t included Abbot in my list because he had something of a tin ear (knighting Prince Phillip was a real own goal), put his own back bench off side, had some 30 or so colleagues vote for “an empty chair” in a leadership vote; ignored John Howard’s advice to set aside a regular time to meet with backbenchers, and had the final ignominy of being a former PM to lose his seat at election.
It’s hard to include him in any list of inspiring PMs. He could have been one of the great Australian PM, but alas never quite made it.
Hear, hear! This little weazel should crawl back into his hole he came out of.
Thanks Andrew for having the guts to go against the woke narrative.
Yes thank you Warren
if he had any guts he'd run for election. please encourage him to do so.
@@regfries8279 I’ll try but he will probably vote No to the suggestion.
Proudly voted NO today.
Re-watched Ten Canoes the other night. Makarrata (treaty) means payback. In the film, it involves having spears thrown at you until one impales you.
We are all writing NO.... we don't want this Voice.
😢voted NO today Australia is not what we have taught our children for generations
The communists have totally infiltrated our schools and brainwave so many weak minds over the decades 😢😢
Covid could not have happened in the Australia I believed in.
Me,too,in black pen.I do not trust the electoral commission.
@@billhesford6098 that's right mates , didn't believe
We have a useless Prime Minister the worst since Rudd and Gillard, who pays Aborigines 40 Billion dollars a year without having to account for this money so if this money cannot fix their problems then I do not see how Albanese can stand there and say without a voice these people will suffer. What about these people who constantly have their hand out for more money get off their collective behinds get a job and start paying taxes like all the other hardworking families. I cannot think of a more horrible proposition than being governed by Aborigines and under their control. All the money that Noel Pearson and the rest of this community receive must be Audited all of it accounted for.
I know how you feel, as a Victorian I have lost all faith in this state and it’s voters
I've said No from the first day. But I didn't vote Albo and labour in either!
Thanks for telling the truth Andrew, THE REAL VOICE OF AUSTRALIAN'S
