id have to say I love being a Firefighter/EMT. To be able to help someone on potentially the worst day of their lives, makes me feel like this world has changed, but enough of us care to keep the humanity alive and to help a stranger in need. Thankyou to all of my brothers and sisters that selflessly sacrifice to try and make a difference. HAPPY NEW YEAR may you all stay safe out there
@ richroberts4591 Thank you for your service. I had to rely on the Jordan Fire Department in Waterford, CT and Waterford Ambulance Service also in Waterford, CT on Thursday July 6th while I was attending Camp Harkness in Waterford, CT after collapsing in the shade on the way back down from the mansion and not responding to the camp counselor, Jack that was walking with me. He had to call for the camp nurse, Stephanie to come and check me out on the walkie talkie that he had. She came along with another counselor, Evelyn to check me out and find out what happened. She took my vital signs and then asked me to squeeze her hand then I shook my head yes when she asked if anything hurts and pointed to my head. Evelyn called 911 when I didn’t respond to taking deep breaths, cold compresses and taking sips of Gatorade. The ambulance crew was good with me because MJ who was taking care of me in the back of the ambulance asked me if I wanted something to hold and I said something soft so she gave me a pillow case to hold onto and I got to keep it. I was suffering from heat exhaustion but I was able to go back to camp after getting IV fluids and something for my headache. I’m thankful for the nurse Stephanie and the counselors, Evelyn and Jack for helping me and the way they handled the situation. I wrote a thank you note to Waterford Ambulance Service and the Jordan Fire Department after camp was over for helping me.
I was 18 and became a volunteer fire fighter in northern Michigan on Lovell's station 3 learned from the classroom for training at other Fire department's and training at Kirtland community college I followed in my dad's foot steps he was on the fire bergade in general motors in lavoina Michigan and retirement was 1987 when I graduated from high school we always learned from the best. Our fathers and mothers.

Greetings from 🇦🇺Australia🇦🇺..... This song & video is an incredible tribute & show of respect to ALL who work in emergency services careers who, on a daily basis, put their lives on the line at a moments’ notice for people they don’t even know but have sworn to do all they can to protect & keep them from harm. I have the utmost level of respect for EVERY man & woman who work for the Police, Fire Brigades, Ambulance Departments (Paramedics) & Search & Rescue teams of all levels. Each & every one of you are TRUE HEROES ✊️😎👍✅✅✅
This is a bad ass video. I've seen the actual music video of this song. The way you transition from FIRE to POLICE when the music went from FIRE to POLICE was very awesome. Thank you💝💝💝💝💝
When i was a kid, i watched our family's house burn down... I think it was then i wanted to become a firefighter. Been trying to save up enough money to go to the academy
My home town of New Philadelphia Ohio some of the Finest officers EMS Firefighters Swat you will ever see God Bless Everyone for doing your job no matter how tough easy mediums the calls get God Bless Everyone keep Defending and Saving
I didnt even have wild land training (I volunteer), I just responded and did what I was told. I was asking what the heck I had gotten myself into, but it sure was Fun!!! I've been volunteering since February, started running calls in April. I love this job so much!!!
I love America! I love Americans! The respect they have for each other is just unique. You don't find that in other country's. Why couldn't I be born in the US??
Another great one. Appreciate the vid right now honestly. Needed the reminder why I'm training for what I'm doing. Its going to be tough and I'm going to have a lot to learn but I'm doing it cause I love helping people.
Zach Novosad if a video has to remind you that you wanna be in this field that means your heart really isn't in this and you should find a different profession I can probably speak for every first responder out there we knew that this job was for us even if we don't want to admit it we all knew and we all find the motivation to drive and push forward in our heart
AkSnow Man when you're going through a course you don't think you'll pass and you need the extra motivation, sometimes videos like this remind me of why I need to work harder to complete the course. And I did. My heart is in it. I've been doing this almost 4 years. Most of that as an explorer. I can't see myself doing anything else. When you don't think you'll pass a course that's critical to you, you start second guessing yourself. "Is this what I want to do? If I fail will I take it again?" Now that I've completed my course I know it is for me. Thank you though
Zach Novosad I do apologize I didn't mean for that to come across in a rude way I speak from experience I was 4 year recruit captain and we had cadets come though that really didn't wanna be there. We tried to push them but they didn't have that drive deep down inside and they were starting to waste mine and the other instructors time from other cadets and we had to let a few go. So I hope this sum up why i said what I said
AkSnow Man understandable. There's sadly people that think they're going to do it for an adrenaline rush too. I want to be an EMT to help people. Hopefully eventually getting out of urban EMS and into wilderness EMS
@@aksnowman4455 I was once told you can train almost anyone to knock fires but you can't train to be a firefighter, your either that person or your not. My wife can't get her head around why we do what we do, or why " i won't just get a normal job like everyone else" But thats just not who i am. I don't live in the US but i know reading this you understand it more than friends or family ever will.
Thank you to all of the firefighters and EMT’s who put their lives on the line everyday to help people like me and a big thank you goes out to the Jordan Fire Department in Waterford, CT and Waterford Ambulance Service in Waterford, CT for helping me out on Thursday July 6th when I collapsed during a hike with people from Camp Harkness coming back down from the mansion. They were really good to me and helped me out because I was suffering from heat exhaustion from not drinking enough water. I’m thankful for them for helping me and getting me to the hospital before I got worse or got heat stroke.
I was 15 when my cought on fire and I carried my nease out of a burning house I was a volunteer fire fighter for 21 years and I would do it again if I was there and needed
My mom used to work for emt and my dad sister used to be a hospital nurse broke my toe and too part of my foot to night they told me I broke it this year sucks 😭😞
Person at the hospital: my shoes are acting funny, I think they have diabetes. Nurse: i’m sorry we only save humans. Man: why does it say diabetic shoes?!

Anyone else remember their first call? When you have all the training and you get there and are like” I have no idea what I’m doing”
Yes, guy wasn't feeling good after downing two twelve packs. Ran a MVA that night as well, guy hit a deer.

And such a shame our communities are throwing us aside because we wont be a medical experiment, I wont serve a community that discriminates against me
Im in my fire 2 class and the 3 guys told i wouldn't make it because I'm a female. I proved them guys wrong I'm in fire 2!
