It's just so amazing how people don't even care until its them that is in destress, trust me, brother. I only live 1 county over from you, and I've had my fare share of people that don't pull over, even though we aren't allowed lights and sirens, we can only use our hazzards, which is also stupid

I grew up with a volunteer Firefighter Dad . It was awesome seeing the things they do .

In many states, only having a dash light is no considered legal as you are required to have lights that show 360 around the vehicle.

Thank you to all of the firefighters and EMT’s who put their lives on the line everyday to help people like me and a big thank you goes out to the Jordan Fire Department in Waterford, CT and Waterford Ambulance Service in Waterford, CT for helping me out on Thursday July 6th when I collapsed during a hike with people from Camp Harkness coming back down from the mansion. They were really good to me and helped me out because I was suffering from heat exhaustion from not drinking enough water. I’m thankful for them for helping me and getting me to the hospital before I got worse or got heat stroke.

This shit is very common. Too many drivers fail to slow down at intersections when a siren is closely audible.

Ngl, this is hella fast for a volly POV responding. Your supposed to drive as normal but if people want to give u right of way, they can. Idk the laws by you, but here in NYS, only LEO is allowed to have sirens. Im not trying to be a dickhead but people use videos like this to discredit the reasoning to allow us these lights. In states like NY, this helps us through congested areas that might prevent us from reaching the station in time. “Oh well people use the department as an excuse to drive crazy” which justifies DoT laws being changed and thus fucking it up for us all.

Amazon has some good stuff when it comes to lights! Name brand is not always needed is lights are not in constant use!

When you want to be in law enforcement but can only be a volunteer firefighter and they let you put some lights and sirens on your personal vehicle and it gives you a napoleon complex!

I was able to get back with them I love it I have had my truck outfitted for EMT call outs and fire call outs hot most if my stuff in my tool box

Kentucky law grants vol ff red lights and siren once certified. Your POV by law is considered a real emergency vehicle when called out and the public is to grant right of way access to you just like any other real emergency vehicle. You only need a n authorization form from the chief to posses.
