For all those saying “omg this was a bit overkill.” May I remind you that the deadliest shooting in US history, and one of the deadliest shootings in world history took place in Las Vegas less than 10 years ago. The suspect had barricaded himself inside of a hotel room and killed 58 people from an elevated position. Yes, this may be overkill but at least the police are responding with a large force as opposed to a smaller force incapable of tackling a barricaded suspect, allowing them to cause more harm.
A code 3 means that there’s a possibility that the public can be in danger. Just because he’s barricaded doesn’t mean he can’t or won’t hurt anyone else outside.
A few weeks back I seen a SWAT team just like this in unmarked not many regular cop cars a few there must’ve been 50 of them though altogether going up 84 eastbound, I heard they went to lagrand Oregon . There was a skid steer on a pick up being pulled behind it that had an apparatus on the front of it that was bulletproof that they could shoot through had holes in it to shoot out of
Most All these sheeple who are complaining about too big a response or too much this or that, have never seen a life taken in real time, had a loved one killed, or been in a life or death situation. If it’s you, your family that’s the victim, you wouldn’t be on here bitching.

You think that is a bad example of LVMP SWAT? Our Maui Police Chief John Pelletier is a ex LVMP SWAT Commander. The regular deployment of 17 on duty cops in Lahaina were completely overwhelmed trying to evacuate thousands of people. One Hundred and Four People Burned to Death, while over 150 Off Duty Cops were at home, unaware of the fires. Then Lahaina became inaccessible by land. It’s estimated that most if not all lives could have been saved with Basic Planning, Preparation and Deployment by our Police Chief.
