In the manga light doesn't get to accept his fate. He actually to the very end is begging for help, screaming he doesn't want to die, refusing to accept whats happening. The anime gave him a somewhat peaceful end, the manga that shit was brutal af.
Made funnier by the fact when caught he begs Ryuk to save him. He tried to double down on the power of the Death Note because he forgot Ryuk told him that he wasn't special. Destiny didn't choose Light. Light got the book because Ryuk was bored that day. So him begging Ryuk to save him as though they were somehow friends shows how much of his own kool-aid Light drank
Near is no smarter than L, there were too many conditions against L: he was alone against two Kira's and two gods of death, knowing absolutely nothing about the properties of the notebook, and if not for Rem, who fell in love with Misa and decided to save her, then L would have pressed Light to the wall, because he guessed that rule 13 was fake. Near already had information about the notebook, and Mello told him that Rule 13 was fake, since the God of Death told him about it. And a little later, Mello helped find out the location of the real Death Note; without his intervention, Near and the team would simply have died, since they would have replaced only the pages of the fake notebook, unaware of the real one. Therefore, it cannot be stated that Near is better than L, he had softer conditions, and there was someone to help, he and Mello only completed L’s work
It's not as simple as one being better than the other. Near was more cautious and observant than L, but lacked his ambition. Mello wasn't quite as sharp as L, but he had a better sense of when to take action. L was the best all-rounder, but a Near and Mello team up would've been more effective.
@@jessetheanimenerd3304 I agree with you! I believe near & Mello represent the duality of L but pushed to the extreme. Mello is emotional, but that allows him to take action. Near is completely logical, and can't be moved by emotion
The only reason the rule about ‘not going to heaven or hell’ was in the og notebook was because Ryuk was hoping to mess with humans who believed in that kind of thing lol. It was Ryuk trying to create chaos the whole time lol. Also, as other have said, you should definitely check out the manga ending if you want a completely different cathartic experience lol!
For me, your reaction was the best Death Note reaction that I've seen. You were very harsh at times. I would think things like: "Don't call yourself stupid. Don't call the characters stupid, we all make mistakes...". But you also brought a new interesting perspective, especially on the second half of the anime, which I would say that I appreciated less than you did. Thank you for the reaction!
I loved the balance between your insight in this series as well as the funny emotional reactions whenever shit hits the fan. We shall be watching on with great interest...
I recall the manga ending with showing the cult of Kira continuing to worship their god as a way of showing that his influence, though ended, will continue to echo through society.
Loved your reactions! Last time I watched this was more than 10 years ago, and I remember not liking the second half. This time I really appreciated it a lot more, especially with your additional insight. Looking forward to what's next!
Yeah the heaven and hell stiff was Ryuk messing with Light. In this universe there isn't such a thing, all people go to nothingness. In the manga the dealt with it differently. Right away when Ryuk said it, Light pretty much caught on that it just means there is no heaven or hell. Ryuk i think used it as a pressure to keep using tge notebook, sunk cost fallacy since he already used the book before learning about it. He didn't need it though.
I just love how they portrayed Light even in his dying moments with him mumbling on the ground after getting shot. The light beaming down at him saying “what is this?” like he is an immortal feeling pain for the first time. It’s almost as if Matsuda just shot at someone who is holy or godlike. It frames it in a way where some would feel like it’s a terrible thing, while others see it as an incredibly good thing. They did a great job at portraying it in both perspectives.
Matsuda agreed with Kira to an extent, and who knows, maybe he could have been convinced to help Light. But Light was only interesting in people he could use and toss aside once he was done with them. Matsuda probably never struck him as useful. Near won by working together with Mello and the NPD, excluding Matsuda, the only member who still believed in Light's innocense. For Matsuda to be the one to shoot Light after discovering his identity is so satisfying. To see Light begging for the help of everyone hes used and disposed of afterwards, is such a great moment for me. In another world, maybe Matsuda would have been on Light's side at that moment. Or maybe not. Whether Matsuda actually would have been willing to betray the NPD is besides the point, but Light's complete dismisal of the person who would later shoot him is an often overlooked aspect of the ending.
Rem did see that Misa's life was cut when she looked at her through the headquarter's security cameras after Misa did the second eye deal with Ryuk. Though at that time its likely that Misa was fated to die by execution since Rem felt the need to kill L in order to protect Misa, so perhaps when L died Misa's death is "rescheduled" to this moment here.
Rem’s death extended both Misa’s and Light’s lives well beyond their deaths. Misa killed herself because of Light cutting her long life short. Ryuk killed light prematurely because it would take forever for Light to die because of his unnatural life lengthening. Ryuk had to steal a second death note otherwise he would be bound the entire time with Light who would either spend hundreds of years in prison or possibly escape one day or whatever fate would bring his actual death.
@@OneAutumnLeaf420 Rem extended Misa's and Light's lifespans, but her lifespan was only added to Misa's, not Light's, because she did not have any love for Light. The same reason why she died killing L for Misa, but she wouldn't have died if she killed L just for Light. We also don't know "how much" Misa's life was extended by Rem's lifespan, it may not have been that long seeing how she dies at the end.
Having Love for light has nothing to do with it. She did the unnatural thing of interfering with fate to save Misa and indirectly Light. It extended both of their lives regardless. Killing the Shinigami with love is the idea of getting them to interfere or break into fates plan. Love itself wasn’t extending their lives but the act of breaking them from dying when they’re supposed too. Reason why Ryuk had to carry another notebook because he would be bound to light for longer than he wanted. It’s safe to assume Misa’s life was extended beyond any mortal humans. The Shinigami is giving her those years. The Shinigami extend well beyond thousands of years in life and perhaps more. Hundreds being on the small amount. Misa didn’t die from natural causes or by accident. She ended her life prematurely by killing herself because of losing Light.
@@OneAutumnLeaf420 Yes it does, whether or not Rem loves light determines if she dies while trying to protect, which also leads to her lifespan being added on to Light or not. Love does not relate to simply "extending" their lives but to the part where the shinigami's lifespan is added onto to the human after they die due to love. So Light doesn't get Rem's lifespan, but Light's life does get extended. We don't know for a fact that Rem currently had "thousands of years of life" left since their lifespan is dependent on how actively they use the death note. Even though Shinigamis can live for thousands of years, it is entirely possible that Rem had only 10 or so years left, we have no indication of that whatsoever. The fated lifespan is not dependent on simply "natural causes or accident". Murder is an acceptable fate, we know this because Misa was initially going to be murdered (and this was shown as her death date by the lifespan) before Gelus intervened, so it follows that suicide as well is an acceptable fated death date.
The author has commented that souls after dying go to mu which basically means nothingness, people that say that people that get killed by shinigami become shinigami is because of anime original content which isn’t to be trusted
17:37 Man, he already know the name of them all! Near showed them to him, and also confermed that those are the four correct names of the member of SPK! And he of course already knows Aizawa's, Matsuda and the other member of the Japanese task force names! He doesn't need the eyes! Lol
I also want to make a comment about a fan theory I read and enjoyed. It argues that Light became what he became in part because of who his father was. You caught onto it in early episodes that Soichiro was rarely home. So the theory goes, Light became obsessed with justice because his father loved justice. And while pursuing a police career he realized the justice system was not fully functional and made him despondent because it made his subconcious goal (his Dad’s affection and attention) unachievable. The deathnote gave Light a chance to “become justice”, justice being the thing that had most of his father’s attention. It’s an interesting theory. Not sure I buy into it, but fun to think about. One of my favorite things about this series is how different things could be with just a slight difference. Would Light have been Kira with a more present father?
Depends. Somebody should have helped Light realize that people have different strengths and weaknesses, including him. If he's the King, then his people can ALWAYS do things he can't, and if he's the Queen because of his cracked stats, then he runs the risk of Atlas's fate of trying to carry the world. Prove to him things like how the Touta Matsudas of the world are Knights instead of Pawns, or that Pawn Promotion is a thing in the first place. If encouraging him to be less rigid in his thinking leads him to find a better way to address the ACTUAL trash people than, ya know, murder with increasingly loose criteria for what would "warrant" it, then yes please. Instead, there's signs of him being subject to disconnect by all 3 family members (Soichiro being too busy, Sachiko caring too much about his grades, Sayu being a fangirl and not even being at the entrance ceremony for "Mr. To-oh"), even if it's more of an cautionary tale that wouldn't change how Light's choices still managed to be a problem than anything. Of course, Light gets a backstory in the live-action drama version, where Sachiko dies when Light is a kid and Soichiro wasn't around when that happened, to Light's anger. Then the criminal that Soichiro was apprehending at the time of Sachiko's death was allowed to go free and used as much to take hostages to trade for Soichiro in order to kill him. Want to guess who saved Soichiro from what would have been certain death there?
Also for the ending, in the manga it's slightly different, in them manga he dies in that warehouse calling out for the others and you just see him die pathetically. I prefer this version where you see him regretting his choices so that's definitely not headcanon the directors definitely wanted the viewer to see that he regretted his decisions by watching his younger self.
The souls that used death note didn't go to the afterlife because they go to another place. There's theory that they become a shinigami themselves, and what i believe is their souls is consumed by the shinigami that wrote their name
It's also funny that this reactor questioned everything up to this point, but breaking into a banks safe deposit box in 24 hours with no planning is a totally doable thing. Gevanni is CIA, and they have no jurisdiction in Japan. But they have to make the finale make sense, so Gevanni is a super thief and the greatest copycat ever in history. Several loopholes to make the ending fit, but he got so caught up in Near winning that he never questioned these things.
@@storieswithstyledon't forget that Gevanni was able to replicate a notebook perfectly in less than a day. Mikami was checking the notebook with a microscope and couldn't tell the difference. They followed Mikami, then broke into a bank, then replicated the notebook, and put the notebook back in the same day?
@kusursuzdamar mikami was checking the fake one. and he NEEDED to microscope to see it was fake. him not catching the fake is perfectly fine. it's making a perfect copy in a single day that is an issue
@@alicepbg2042 It's important to remember that it was both Gevanni AND Rester who copied the notebook. Not only that, but it only contained 16 pages that had anything written on them.
Hi Malti, since you enjoy the psychological depth and moral complexity of Death Note, I highly recommend Code Geass. It offers a similarly engaging narrative with strategic battles and intriguing characters. Plus, the mecha elements add a unique twist. Give it a try.
Looks like you never got to that 1+ hour reaction video but I am excited to binge these reactions and hear your thoughts on this anime. I may also have to finally watch Monster now, it has been on my backlog for years.
@PhrygianTurk the anime ended with him looking up and accepting his fate, while the manga ended with him kicking and screaming. They’re very different moods to end on
There are some rules that were never revealed in the show or other materials, but are true to the series as revealed by the creators and supplementary materials. From memory I’ll list a few that may answer some of your questions but I didn’t want to post until now to avoid a risk of possibly spoiling something. As near figures out, the limit on control is roughly 28 days. (I don’t recall the exact number but its close to that. Maybe 23 days?). Similarly, one cannot extend a life beyond its natural lifespan with the deathnote, only cut it short. And with a single exception, one can only plan someone’s death 28 (23?) days out (again not sure of the number exactly). The exception is if the cause of death is an illness that takes longer than 28 days to progress. At which point the deathnote will only permit the life to run until the person’s natural lifespan or minimum time it takes the illness to cause that death. Another rule that is never said but covers some plot holes, is that a written name can kill only the person who’s name is written in the note. You cannot use the note, for example, to write “Soichiro Yagami kills L and then has a heart attack.” In that case Soichiro will just have a heart attack. You can write “Soichiro Yagami ‘shoots’ L and then has a heart attack” in which case L wll survice being shot. Its implied that any circumstances of death that will cause another death will result in a heartattack. (I’ve often wondered if giving a heartattack ti a pilot with the deathnote will cause all passengers to miraculously survive. That’s an unanswered question so far). That said, another rule is rhat Light can only control someone to do things within that person’s knowledge base or normal personality to do. He can’t make someone act uncharacteristic of themselves. On a related note, the deathnote considers suicide to be a potential within anyone’s character and so works as a cause of death for anyone if needed. There are some other minor rules such as age minumums before the deathnote works as well as an age maximum if I recall correctly. Finally, the rule that one can go to neither heaven nor hell if they use the deathnote isn’t a true rule, but more just a fact. As it turns out, Shinigami don’t even know if heaven or hell exist (and the creators revealed it does not in the deathnote world). So whether you use a deathnote or not, every human goes to “mu” when they die. Mu=nothing (and is a particularly more nuanced word for nothing in philosophy).
This educator does know that the only reason why L died was because a god of death decided to kill him. L wasn't too emotional.. at most he was manipulative.
Wow nobody is mentioning how at very last of Manga it is shown that some people were following Kira as a God come together under a night having bright moon and praying desperately for him to come back...... So basically that moon represented Light and this also represented that ultimately Light did became a GOD!
Dude you are doing Monster next? Finally a reactor that i like and is smart AF is going to watch it, cant wait for it, i know you will love it and probably have brilliant insights on it and point out things that completely went over my head.
23:19 Yeah... I think that too! Ryuuk, in the help, tried to help Light a little bit too much... he tried, but he get him only in bigger troubles! Like when he told Light about Raye Penbar...
Wow you released the two ending episode the same day, one hour of distance from each other, on January the First! I wasn't expecting for that! I must at all cost watch them!
L had to spend a lot of time and effort to catch up to Kira's magic shenanigans, but Near and Mellow benefitted from what L accomplished and discovered. L certainly had his weaknesses, but he's the giant on whose shoulder Near stood. Also, have you considered Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood? This anime seems like something you'd enjoy.
personally, i think L did the right thing befriending light. it was how he basically backed him into a corner every time with light narrowingly escaping, even though he knew light was kira
I will never accept this ending as a good ending. You cannot convince me that Gevanni copied his handwriting perfectly AND copied the entire thing in A SINGLE NIGHT.
@@trompette4485 Did you see my response? It disproves your entire point. I'm asking because UA-cam has trouble showing links in the comment section sometimes.
I need to catch up myself, to be honest I fell off the show in the last few episodes because I wasn't super interested in the last arc but I liked your early reactions so much I might have to finish this show myself so I can see your thoughts
First time I actually watched all the reactions 😂 I really like your content. If it pleases you, I recommend you make a reaction to the one shot manga that was released for this series. It has one chapter and tells the history about other human finding a death note after the happenings of Light's history. It is short, well written and I think would be fun for you to see what other people in that world could do with the powers Light had.
Have you seen Monster? If not, you should absolutely check it out, it's an amazing show that I think you'll love as well. I've watched death note many many times and still think that it's a really good anime, but even though I loved monster more, I can't rewatch it, idk how to explain it. Death note would be my N1 anime if not monster. Well.... this... was.. fun.
Hey! It's been a long journey mate! I'm a really loner guy, so watching this series with you, made me feel much better everyday, specially seeing your point of view. I want to recommend Classroom Of The Elite next! It has a lot of logic problems, genius and intelligence involved, and also incredible writing. It's a less intense anime, but the logic and smart is top-notch!
It wasn't "microscopic precision". Mikami never checked the real Death Note with a microscope. I swear, people who criticize the ending often only focus on issues stemming from them not understanding it.
@@jessetheanimenerd3304 still feels highly unrealistic that they could copy the entire thing that quickly, and have it seem authentic enough to not alert him.
@@reapimuhs Two people copying 16 pages in one night is hardly the craziest thing to happen in this series. L building a skyscraper in 8 months and Misa enduring months of torture without psychological trauma are both harder to believe.
Probably you should react to the "Death Note [Levan Polka]" It is so funny recomposition of the ending, you will like how dark and humorous it is about Light's defeat)))
Absolutely love your reaction and how analytical you are of the story characters and etc. Pllleeeeeasssseeee if you could, give Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann a Try. I would argue that it is the anime with the most satisfying ending and the grandiose of the story in its entirety and message. It has a lot of fan service (in the beginning mainly), I don't know if you have a problem with that, but give it a try. There's a gold mine waiting to be drilled if you get through the start.
Was great fun watching your reactions to Death Note! The Netflix version is... different, not as good as the anime or manga, for sure. But might be fun to watch. Also, not sure if you can and/or want to react to real tv series with actors and such, maybe Dexter is an interesting watch too.
One interesting thing, is u could blame it all on Mikami, that without him Light would have maybe won by himself. But u could also argue the opposite, if he kept more people as friends and pawns he also might have won that way too
Light should have had Mikami test the "real" notebook prior to going to the warehouse, except he was too overconfident. If it was Light versus L early on, im sure wouldn't have blundered; however he became complacent after never tasting defeat.
@galacticlava1475 they must have had some backup somewhere else, L died, there is no evidence left so how they started with knowing about the notebook existence already since that was not public?
I would offer to read the manga. Anime is 99% same as manga, which only shows with how much respect to the manga it was done! But that 1% makes it SO much better
Matsuda going Dirty Harry on Light is one of my favorite parts of the series. Also imo even though it wasn't a great adaptation the original Japanese live action adaptation was better than the Netflix one by miles. Also you are going to LOVE Monster.
Personally, I like the ending of the manga more. no Mikami making a distraction so Light runs and Ryuk decides to kill Light. but Light finaly having no plan or move left to do and begins begging Ryuk to kill everyone else, making Ryuk go "Ok then" and writting down Lights name on the death note before showing it to him. since, if light needed ryuk that much it meant the fun of watching him ended. the parts leading up to that are basically the same.
What I found a bit disappointing in this finale is that in the end Light didn’t lose because he was out-smarted, he didn’t lose because of a mistake he made, he actually out-smarted Near big time, and only lost because of his accomplice’s mistake. Maybe it could be seen as karma for the times he got lucky previously but I didn’t really like it. Also L would have absolutely thought of the possibility of a fake even without mello’s intervention, just as he thought of the possibility that the 13 days rule was fake, while Near only knew because the shinigami told Mello. As both Light and Near said, L was smarter and better then Near and Mello. I mean, Near had most of the work already done for him and almost royally fucked it up. I said this on a previous video too but maybe you haven’t seen it, but L made almost no mistakes in the hole series, he was never slipping, the times you thought he did were cut thought processes explained in the manga.
It was totally a mistake by Light, on top of Mello's intervention. If he had instructed Mikami to test the notebook, he wouldn't have been caught off guard by the fake replica.
An anime would be really cool for you to react, especially as a PHYSICS EDUCATOR is Dr. Stone. It's an amazing anime about cool science things with a good writing (characters, plots and motivations) and full of symbolism. Judging by all of your reactions I watched (a lot) e believe it has the potential to become your favorite anime. Really, consider it.
L knew that Light was Kira and that there was something up with the rules. That is why he had decided to test the notebook to test the fake rules and catch light. If he could disprove the fake rules he would solve the case. That is why Rem killed L.
I do realy prefer the manga ending, where we got Light's complete breakdown and despair in front of everyone... "I told you I'll be the one to write your name one day..."
L probably also befriended Light because he was this amazing detective for years without a friend. And needed one. So it was easier for him to fell for Light's tricks. Maybe N will be the same after years. Or not, he is a little more autistic than L was. In a good way I guess, it let him win in the end
Not sure which anime is on your number one spot, but be prepared that Monster is gonna steal that spot, and even, change your life. Be ready for the biggest masterpiece of all.
Hey, I wonder if you heard of Burn the Witch? There's a movie (later cut into 3 episode OVA) and a prequel episode and its set in Bleach Universe. People call it British Bleach😄
If you havnt seen code geass yet it is a MUST WATCH!!! Especially given how much you loved death note and the plotting and shit like it’s peak, only 2 seasons and dub or sub is great but dub is my preference since I love Johnny young bosh(ichigoat va, among many many others) and he’s the MC
Next, a bit similar in the psychological and strategical aspect : CODE GEASS ! Best anime ever, in an emotional standpoint, so probably not your favorite but still very good and smart. And it's Sci-Fi !
In the manga, Light’s characterization is muchh different haha, he actually becomes Kira because of an anxiety breakdown 😭 makes it sadder that he formed a god complex as a way to explain the 2 murders he committed as he couldn’t handle it tbh, love his character so much but hate him as a person 🤷♀️
Auch bei Aot war es so. Die meisten Menschen waren zwiegespalten zwischen den Charakter mögen oder hassen aber er ist immer komplett gegen eren und light gewesen. Was ich nicht verstehe
Light is still a Villain Protagonist, even if we do get insight into explanation for his conduct and see that he at least TRIES to be a shepherd no matter how much he absolutely sucks at it and ends up with his VERY damaging prince mentality.
I don't know, i never got over how much they rushed this near arc, and how unappealing near and mellow were as characters, so i find it pretty difficult to like the ending, and the way near won felt most contrived to me, there's a lot of contrived stuff that happened in this show, but this one felt like it should have been done better because it's the finale.
I'm begging you to react to "Orb: On the Movements of the Earth". It's one of the most criminally underrated anime of 2024. I know I'm not a channel member but I beg you, please. I promise you won't be disappointed 🙏🏼😭
You should read Manga ending it's little different from the anime and the better of the two in my opinion and it will also answer your question at 12:52
Ah finally, the finale. Judging from your title and description and previous reactions to Light's monstrosity, it didn't change you to not hate Light. (Also I can't watch the ending of the video where you have final remarks as I literally am in a crowded place for now for a long time.) I have a centrist view whenever it comes to this show as this show was when I finally found out "Justice is Subjective". I know Light is meant to be fricked up in the head, but Justice is Subjective, criminals and terrorism has been brought down to near absolute Zero by him, but yet again, to L: He's still a murder machine that needs to be brought down. I know L for you is in the light(badumtss), and Justice is Subjective, he wants to bring this murder machine down, and yet again: Light brings criminals and terrorism down to near absolute Zero. No one wins, Near lost L, his motivation, Near's competitive fellow Mellow died unfortunately, Father died for a cause that was done by his own son and it was all just a lie in the final reveal, Mother and Sister are traumatized, Misa lost Light, L lost to Light by dying before finding out the answer, Light dies without a successor, the many that love light for his effectiveness in justice lost light, and **only Ryuk stands on top with a great story to tell.** However, as a RimWorld player, I sometimes take a break from being a centrist and love Light's version of Justice, however even then I somewhat disdain people for staying too radical: "Light should've won!!! L is just a terrorist!" or "L is right!!!! why would anyone love for a monster????" and prolong such opinions into fighting others, yet again: People see generally themselves as Centrists no matter where they are. I see it in Attack on Titan, and this show and AoT mixes together like chocolate and milk! And it's been an absolute blast seeing someone like you stay really against Light, *it fascinates me how successful the author is at dividing our views.* I have nothing against your opinions on this as: Justice... is subjective.
I'll say this: Light would actually be good at being a member of Batman's rogues gallery as a case of He Who Fights Monsters. Batman already has had to contend with Pamela Isley, Lyle Bolton, HARDAC-Batman, and Ra's Al Ghoul. Light is comparable to those four in particular. And it's also worth bringing up that Light could just be wanting to wipe criminals, but as you bring up, he is if nothing else bringing up a valid point: WHAT is deterring the crimes from happening in the first place? I remember a pragmatist from Advance Wars Days of Ruin named Lin (who should be on the Magnificent Baddie trope, BTW) who brings up how a society that doesn't punish murder is one where anybody can be murdered at random. At least we can see how Light TECHNICALLY zaps the randomness factor, funny that. At the same time, though? Well, Light was attempting to set up a utopia he would picture, one free of crime, free of suffering, free of frailty. But what happens when it would be one that would just be free of choice, free of compassion, free of humanity? That's the point where Light would have the mercy of having his designs not be the sort to target kids except maybe by VERY indirect brainwashing, as Batman would not have his Berserk Button of attacks against kids pressed when disputing Light's mission statement, likely deducing Light to be the warped perfectionist that he truly is to make it easier to call out his biggest mistakes. Batman being compassionate in the POV of anybody who gets past the VERY gruff demeanor doesn't make an idiot.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! =)
They did a great job at portraying it in both perspectives.
your reaction is peak
ive never seen someone this satisfied with his downfall like i was
Matsuda agreed with Kira to an extent, and who knows, maybe he could have been convinced to help Light.
I fell şad for misa here l hope she rest in peçe she my favorite in show❤
Rem’s death extended both Misa’s and Light’s lives well beyond their deaths.
I really hope you watch Monster. It's a psychological crime thriller that takes place in Germany
In two weeks it will start =)
@storieswithstyle no way. its my favorite anime ever, i can't wait
Lol
Such a tragic ending for our hero.
I agree with you here he borken hero tho l hope he rest in peçe with his dad and misa😢❤
He's no hero. Just a dumb kid with a god complex
Me too l love light here too l hope misa rest in peçe 😢 l Want her to live happy life but she llove light so much❤
The souls that used death note didn't go to the afterlife because they go to another place.
At this point i got used to it :D
@@storieswithstyledon't forget that Gevanni was able to replicate a notebook perfectly in less than a day. Mikami was checking the notebook with a microscope and couldn't tell the difference. They followed Mikami, then broke into a bank, then replicated the notebook, and put the notebook back in the same day?
@kusursuzdamar mikami was checking the fake one. and he NEEDED to microscope to see it was fake.
him not catching the fake is perfectly fine.
it's making a perfect copy in a single day that is an issue
@kusursuzdamar yup. My point exactly. How would he be able to do all that in less than 24 hours?
Fun fact: the ending is completely different in the manga, but both endings are pretty great,so i'd recommend that you check the manga ending aswell
i dont know about completely different
@PhrygianTurk the anime ended with him looking up and accepting his fate, while the manga ended with him kicking and screaming. They’re very different moods to end on
not completely different, just a few certain aspects of it are.
@@emeraldfinder5 That's not what COMPLETELY different means, it would mean something like he didn't die.
@@TheApol93 that’s opinion
You should definitely check out the one shot. It definitely feels like it wraps up the entire narrative imo.
When are we getting steins gate?
Next week usual days :)
I liked how Light died on the middle of the staircase... Not in hell, not in heaven... As Ryuk said it.
24:26 I might be mistaken but I think Misa is looking at the smokestack upon which Ryuk is perched.
I always felt that she saw lights name disappear and knew it was over
I agree with you here she love him l hope she rest in peçe😢❤
Cool fact: the history was supposed to end at L death
Wow you released the two ending episode the same day, one hour of distance from each other, on January the First! I wasn't expecting for that! I must at all cost watch them!
L had to spend a lot of time and effort to catch up to Kira's magic shenanigans, but Near and Mellow benefitted from what L accomplished and discovered. L certainly had his weaknesses, but he's the giant on whose shoulder Near stood.
Also, have you considered Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood? This anime seems like something you'd enjoy.
Enjoyed the reaction as always. Curious if you'll pick up Death Parade after this one.
personally, i think L did the right thing befriending light. it was how he basically backed him into a corner every time with light narrowingly escaping, even though he knew light was kira
I just noticed... he dies on a staircase... suggesting that he might just become .. a shinigami.
I will never accept this ending as a good ending. You cannot convince me that Gevanni copied his handwriting perfectly AND copied the entire thing in A SINGLE NIGHT.
Lol yeah
It was Gevanni and Rester and the notebook only had 16 pages filled. More implausible things have happened in this series.
@@jessetheanimenerd3304 No, I just looked it up. In the anime AND the manga, it says that ONLY Gevanni did the copying. Don't start lying please.

I agree with you here l love misa poor girl l hope she rest in peçe iş amzing ending for light❤
"Be an Aizawa"
Yes
Good advice
I am very excited for Monster =)
Have you seen Monster? If not, you should absolutely check it out, it's an amazing show that I think you'll love as well.
I've watched death note many many times and still think that it's a really good anime, but even though I loved monster more, I can't rewatch it, idk how to explain it. Death note would be my N1 anime if not monster.
Well.... this... was.. fun.
Great reaction to one of the best animes.
"Next is Monster". I can't wait to watch your Monster reactions.
1:00 Oh, the Netflix movie is terrible, PLEASE don't watch this! The Japanese movie are pretty good, instead! :)
What a great rewatch. Thank you, and see you at other vids ;)
Casually copying the entire death note to a microscopic precision in a single night to catch kira. Seems legit.
@@jessetheanimenerd3304 he copied thousands of names. Pretty sure there were a couple hundred names per page.
Probably you should react to the "Death Note [Levan Polka]"
It is so funny recomposition of the ending, you will like how dark and humorous it is about Light's defeat)))
But u could also argue the opposite, if he kept more people as friends and pawns he also might have won that way too
5 bullets in the body quickly snap you out of your stupidity and bring you back to reality I guess
Light should have had Mikami test the "real" notebook prior to going to the warehouse, except he was too overconfident. If it was Light versus L early on, im sure wouldn't have blundered; however he became complacent after never tasting defeat.
You shouldn’t give Near too much credit! Remember, he had all of L’s note’s to build his investigation around! :l
Yeah, and modern physicists have Einstein’s equations to work off of, doesn’t make their accomplishments any less impressive
@ I said not to give Near “too much credit”, not none at all! :l
No he had none of his notes, light erased L’s dying message and all notes on the case in episode 26.
@galacticlava1475 My bad! It’s been a long time since I’ve watched the series. :l
@galacticlava1475 they must have had some backup somewhere else, L died, there is no evidence left so how they started with knowing about the notebook existence already since that was not public?
Now we need to see your reaction to Light teaches swimming!
After this, Light turned into a shinigami. Its in relight movies.
I love his ending of fit him but l wish he care for misa here l hope she rest in peçe❤
It was totally a mistake by Light, on top of Mello's intervention. If he had instructed Mikami to test the notebook, he wouldn't have been caught off guard by the fake replica.
@@jessetheanimenerd3304 that is true, you are right, but still unfortunately Near did not out-smart light and I would have liked it better if he did

@@اميرمادرا Misa is not dead
She will live for hundreds of years potentially.
Even though I don't like it, the manga ending is worth checking out.
In a good way I guess, it let him win in the end
your hate for light is always really amusing to me to see how much you cuss him out haha

No, code geass sucks in that department. Legend of the galactic heroes is way better

I don't know if you were planning to, but I suggest you read the manga in order to compare
You should read Manga ending it's little different from the anime and the better of the two in my opinion and it will also answer your question at 12:52
Ah finally, the finale.
Judging from your title and description and previous reactions to Light's monstrosity, it didn't change you to not hate Light.
(Also I can't watch the ending of the video where you have final remarks as I literally am in a crowded place for now for a long time.)
I have a centrist view whenever it comes to this show as this show was when I finally found out "Justice is Subjective".
No one wins, Near lost L, his motivation, Near's competitive fellow Mellow died unfortunately, Father died for a cause that was done by his own son and it was all just a lie in the final reveal, Mother and Sister are traumatized, Misa lost Light, L lost to Light by dying before finding out the answer, Light dies without a successor, the many that love light for his effectiveness in justice lost light, and **only Ryuk stands on top with a great story to tell.**
However, as a RimWorld player, I sometimes take a break from being a centrist and love Light's version of Justice, however even then I somewhat disdain people for staying too radical:
"Light should've won!!!
And it's been an absolute blast seeing someone like you stay really against Light, *it fascinates me how successful the author is at dividing our views.*
I have nothing against your opinions on this as: Justice... is subjective.
