You can plan ahead with any book on history of English Literature. Routledge is a good one... Make sure to write down the notes. That will help you to revise before the exams. Hope it helps.

There must be something else you like to do. Please follow that. There are a lot of students who are passionate about literature and in no case you can perform better than that. And then following somthing half-heartdly won't bring any satisfaction.
