While other headsets are very comfortable while wearing glasses, when they say these are glasses friendly they really mean that, you can adjust the ear cups so that your glasses pass through without the ear cup actually sitting on your glasses and creating pressure, to do this you need to remove the ear cups and there’s a little strap that adjusts the ear cup to the thickness of your glasses, it’s an amazing feature.

To fix the static, set them up in the app, audio hub after the firmware update and plug the dongle in front USB port. For some reason there is interference when the dongle is plugged in the back.
Experiencing the menu static after updating too, it’s actually pretty annoying for a 150$ “PS5” headset. My old gen 1 500s were so good to me for so long thought I’d update to these. Hopefully a firmware update soon. I don’t see them ignoring these issues, everyone keep the faith!

Public service announcement: At 7:25 he mentions static in the PS5 menu. This issue seems to have been fixed. It was a known issue that many people had. Not sure when it was fixed, but as of June 2021, just make sure you have the latest firmware update

First Turtle beach headset for me. They are great. I feel you on the ps5 menu static. I just ordered a replacement. I hope that I just got a faulty one and thus replacement works. Good video bro.

@@picsoleated I feel like it's a PlayStation issue. My sound bar has fantastic sound but does similar on both the ps4 and ps5 menus. It's a bit worse. Also did you actually take the ear cups off and adjust it for Glasses it's way more glasses friendly.
Not sure I can agree with you. I have these and the Arctis 7P and to me, these kill the Steelseries. The direction audio is killer on the Stealth 700 Gen 2. I don’t even use the 7P’s
I've heard arguments for both sides and honestly I've tried everything on this headset, for whatever reason in my experience the Arctis 7p is much better for FPS games
Yeah man I have to agree 👍.... I have both, one for me n the other for the wife. I kept the Stealths n she will be using the Arctis steel Series ones. Even the mic sounds way better on the Stealths. Both are great deals though.
Bro I totally agree with you.. I have the Stealth 700s gen 2 and Arctis 7p and these Stealths in my opinion blow the 7ps out the water.. Not saying the 7ps are bad. I just enjoy the new Stealths ALOT better. Sound quality and fit quality mainly.

that is the downside to a good headset is the lack of the option for the chat, game audio mix , especially when you have multiple monitors , and you have a how to video , like raiding or a specific tutorial and you want to simply adjust the sound of the second monitor that has the video playing , and the main monitor , while you sit in a safe zone , you have to minimize and move and blah blah,, just to change the sound , im glad you noted this option in the video , i thought the second dial on the headset was the voice chat option for sound ... , guess i can keep shopping around ,, NICE VIDEO < THNXXX
Stealth 400 and 500 has separate volume sliders. One for game and the other one for party chat. I've had them for 5 years just because of this.. please if you know another mic with this feature then let me know
Great video but I have 2 gripes with this review. The first is about no 3.5mm jack. If the battery is dying and your still playing just plug them in to a wall charger. If you don't have 10+ft usb cables as a gamer what are you doing with your life? I do this with my hyperx headset all the time with no issues. Second is the game/chat mixer. No headphones are capable of this besides the Pulse 3D headset so that argument is irrelevant. Plus its super easy to adjust that in the menu on the PS5. I just purchased a set of these today because my hyperx set is showing signs of age. To me this seems like the best headset for $150. And I always loved the flip feature for the mic. There's no guessing whether your mic is muted or not. That's the one thing I can't stand about my hyperx pair.
Have you tried turtle beach stealth 400 or 500? They have one slider for just party chat volume, and one slider for just game volume. This mic is very old at this point and the only reason I haven't changed is because of this single feature. I also appreciate the replaceable and adjustable microphone and the battery life that's around 15 hours even though it's at least 5 years old. If another mic has those sliders then please let me know.
The one thing that no one mentions about these is that that the previous version had Turtle Beach Surround Sound on the PS4 but they removed it from these. Why does that matter because nobody has a PS5 and millions of us are stuck with the PS4 until they finally catch up with demand. The Arctis 7P is the same. Until you get a PS5 you will be playing on a standard stereo headset on your old console. They did a very good job of covering this up and UA-cam reviewers are all ignoring it too. I mean these have PS4 right on the box but don't look for 3D audio cause it's not there anymore.
I wish you compared the mic to the Gen1 instead of mics of other brands. Most of the people looking to buy this are people that already had/have the Gen1
Got these for Christmas, worked great for 4-5 days. Went to play yesterday and they are bricked. Headset won’t turn on, light won’t turn on. Googled a solution and apparently this is an issue for many customers. Such a shame because I’ve always liked TurtleBeach headsets, looks like I’m going to try something else.
Same happened to me. Twice! The first time they broke, had to return them, bought the same ones again and still has some bugs and issues with the second headset as well. I expected better from Turtle beach, what a shame.
I bought the 700 gen 2 and blackshark v2 pro for my kids Christmas. The TB is used on series x which is great for it and blackshark for ps5. Very happy with both, don't know that I would use the 700 gen 2 for ps5 though
Finally a review that mentions the static distortion in the menus! PS5 & PS4 menus suffer from this weird distortion. I thought that it was only in menus but playing The Last of Us 2 on PS5 some of the moody soundtrack had tones that suffered from the weird distortion so that was a no go for me, and obviously not just a PlayStation menu sounds issue. I agree it’s not a faulty unit problem it’s hopefully just a firmware issue, but we’ll see. Returned them for now but will watch for the firmware updates.

I don't understand why people say that there are some headsets that won't take full advantage of tempest. 3D audio can be pulled off with any stereo headset or buds. PS5 software and hardware allows tempest to be used on anything.

Response to your title: I don't particularly care what you say about the Stealth 700 Gen 2, because I own a pair, and they are awesome. Works great on my PS5 digital only, no menu static or anything on mine, and I have it dongled to the PS%, and bluetooth connected to my tablet for two audio inputs. Works flawlessly, and even with bluetooth enabled I get 20+ hours battery life. I have always liked Turtle Beach headsets, My first was a pair of px22's which were the best headset I ever put on my head until I got the Stealth 700 gen 2. I tried a lot of other brands between those two, steelseries, logitech, corsair, JBL, Senheiser, ect ect. I like the corsair void pro, I use that for my PC when I don't want to swap the dongle for the 700 Gen 2 over to the PC.
Funny thing is these are fantastic on the series x, so much so that I also got the ps5 version because of my experience on the series x, but for some reason they aren’t as good on the Ps5, I can confirm the static noise on the menu. Hope turtle beach brings them up to par with the Xbox version via a firmware update.
Yes! I have the Gen 1 version on my Xbox Series X and they work perfectly. I also have the Gen 1 version for PS5 and it's complete garbage with constant disconnecting and static so I bought the Gen 2 verison for PS5 thinking it would fix the issues I was having but it is arguably worse because of the constant static and hissing noise.
I have them over a year for the ps5, very pleased with it. Now I got the new xbox but bought the microsoft wireless headset, such a dissapointment. Returning these, and getting the same TB for my xbox also.
I have these on my Series X and they sound fantastic, I was hoping they would be the same on PS5. I’m not impressed with the 3D pulse for PS5 since having the 700 gen 2 on the Xbox. Not impressed with the 3D audio at all really. I keep turning it off. I can use my Pulse 3D with the Xbox and they sound better on there than they do with the PS5, just wish I could use my Xbox 700 gen 2 on the PS5 🤷♂️
@@sunnys2776 no issues at all. Have been using them for a week now. Battery life is very long, the cooling gel earcups are NOT a gimmick, they’re actually really cold and comfy. The sound punched. Mic quality is good. I’m coming from the original Stealth 700 so this is a great successor. And the static issue is gone like I said.
I just bought the mic and I’m having trouble getting my mic to work? I’ve looked up everything and did everything they told me to do and still can’t talk to anybody but I can hear myself talk..someone please help
So this is what’s happening if anybody can help,I can hear myself talk and when I do the microphone tests it shows that it works and when I’m in a party I can see my microphone moving but when in game I can’t talk but I can hear the game and others talking..I also tried connecting it through Bluetooth to my ps4 but when it pops up on the Bluetooth options,It gives me a message saying not compatible..I bought the ps4 version of it so i am Confused

Lmao the glasses friendly part on this head set comes from being able to take the ear cups off, and there’s a little lever type thing you can pull up or down to lessen or add tension to where the frames of your glasses sit. Also I don’t know what you’re talking about with not being able to use this headset for streaming...? I used the stealth 600 gen 2 and it worked perfectly fine for streaming my voice
I went with your recommendation in a previous comment to me, and after initially buying the Sony pulse 3D, I ended up buying these, the 7p’s and the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro’s, and I ended up settling on the Razer ones. They are INCREDIBLE. Literally naw-dropping sound. There is lots of settings for the mic, as well as the speakers. They fit extremely comfortably. I absolutely love them. My only gripes about them would be that they are almost $200 and lack Bluetooth, and have micro-usb charging. But they are an absolute dream!!! The 7p’s got very loud. But the audio was very crunchy and dirty. I didn’t realize this until I got the 700 Gen 2’s. The sound was like 5 times cleaner than the 7p’s. They sounded absolutely beautiful. My only issue with those was the fact that they just did not get very loud at all. They sounded pretty good. But they just never BUMPED like the arctis. The arctis was the loudest but sounded like crap, UNLESS, you plugged it in.... that solved the crunchy audio, but then why am I buying a wireless headset for?? They also sounded really flat to me. Like, noticeably flat, a lot of the time. The TB sounded better, and I LOVED the features for the price!!! But they were still pretty uncomfortable to me and they just lacked that oomph, that WOW. The arctis were not very comfortable to me either. As someone with a pretty big head, and lots of really thick hair, I felt like I was pushing the headband to its limits. My ears also touched the drivers on the arctis. Which is the entire reason I needed to replace the Pulse 3D in the first place. The Razer Blackshark however, is just fantastic. It weighs like, as much as a sheet of construction paper. They are plenty loud!! Still not as loud as the arctis lol but that’s okay. They sound absolutely incredible. The comfort is absolutely exceptional. My ears still touch the drivers, but I guess that just happens on every headset for me. I do not have big ears so idk what’s going on lol. But the Razer has a beautiful layer of padding there, so it does not become uncomfortable. If you were planning on one of these two headsets and have a little extra spending room, or just want a good upgrade from the Pulse 3D, after personally doing testing on every headset, I would HIGHLY recommend the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro’s!!! Outstanding audio quality!!!
My personal experience. Bought these TBS700 G2s today. Annoying static noise in the PS5 menus. Navigation input sound effect has distortion/echo (not sure how to describe it). Turning off 3D Audio does help but I'll only to a degree. The 'Super Hearing' thing is just plain awful. Plugging in my old (over 10 years old) wired Sennheiser's couldn't be more of a contrast. Sound is perfect & confirms all the problems mentioned above. Shame. These TBS700 G2 are really comfortable. I wanted to like them

Nice review. I use them for Xbox series x and IMO they’re pretty good. I don’t seem to have those issues in particular. All the issues I had I fixed them and very happy with it. Which was chat volume and the clamp force. Both fixed and 100% happy with it.
I found that if you hit the mode button on these headphones as they are paired on your PS5 (with the dongle), you may find that on one of these modes, the static is gone. Also, if the volume is sort of low, try adjusting it on the overall volume headset. Hope that helps those that have these.

I would buy the arctis 7p just because of 3D audio and durability. My current headset broke easily so I need one that lasts long. Unfortunately the 7p costs about 50$ more than 700p gen 2 where I live but It’s almost better in every way
I have the Xbox version of the headset and honestly is amazing as connects direct to my xbox or my PC with the Xbox wireless receiver, currently they are down under £/$100 on the UK/US Turtle Beach site as refurbished, I ordered them and they look brand new
3D Audio on PS5 is basically fake 7.1 so unless a headset claims it can do 7.1 audio it will never fully support the 3D Audio and this headset was never designed to reproduce 7.1 audio at all.
one thing i can definitely attest to is the glasses friendly feature. i have an old pair of TBs that after a while it feels like my glasses are literally cutting into my skin around my ears, but as for sound, my 700s are pure shit. That distortion sound you talk about during the menus doesn't just stick to the menus for me and it drives me nuts every time it pops up, but I still got a ps4, so I guess they're not completely useless as a helicopter ejector seat.
Not sure why your mic monitor does not work, but for the Xbox one it works for me. I’m able to turn down my party without having to go to my part chat mix. Hopefully it works soon!
No chat mixer? That's strange the Xbox version has independent chat and independent game volume sliders on the headset. No mixer just completely independent audio tuning for both
PlayStation has a shitty Bluetooth alternative compared to Xbox therefore all wireless headsets for ps4 and 5 need a usb transmitter unlike Xbox which is impossible to have part and game chat independently through.
I was very disappointed with this headset. Got Static and distortion coming from them I contacted turtle beach to get a replacement and/or refund and they just sent an automated email about updating the firmware which didn’t really help the problem so I just sold them and got the arctis 7p which are a huge improvement over the stealth gen2s

Looks like there are some settings you missed in the PS5 for 3D audio adjustments, and the companion phone app to mix and monitor. I moving from the Astro A50s, these seem like the better option for headphones once theyre dialed in.
@@703rayThey are Gen3, Not really impressed with anything in the market atm. Astro sold out, cost reduced, and there is an adapter for spdif to usb for PS5. Ended up buying logitech G935, but they lack adjustability (team chat, game vol. etc) on console.
Well this one is out of my options too for the PS5 everything keeps pointing to the Sony Headset so far. Seems like a lot of these headsets claim PS5 capabilities which really don’t. They seem more like PC headsets they tried to make PS5 compatible then stuff doesn’t perform as it should. I want wireless that allows the full use of 3D audio with mic without a bunch of wiring everywhere.
Mic sounded wayyy better on the 700. Mic sounds terrible on the 7p. Also, you can charge and play on both the stealth 700 and 600 (I have both). Hope that helps people decide

You know about the app right? You can adjust everything there,the sound, the mic the mic monitoring , superhuman hearing... You can save your own profile. You dont need the pc for that just your phone. The adjustment are on the fly. Just play with the app then you will heare real difference.

I really like the idea of 3d audio and I'm getting mixed messages from sources, and when I hopefully get a ps5 I'm really looking forward to spiderman. What would you say? The glasses for feature you have to take the ear cups off, and pull the tab and it will make a recess for your glasss arm. 😂 directional sound I find amazing. Cold War. I’m pulling the trigger the moment before they walk though the door!!! The audio quality is the same before and after the firmware update. Updating the firmware was a NIGHTMARE on pc I couldn’t do it!!! I had to use a Mac it’s terrible and Turtlebeach offer NO support at all!!! If you buy these you’re on your own. How ever I’m very happy with them!!

Hmmm I have these for series x and they’re legit af. They’re clear and I can pinpoint people on warzone. Directional audio is definitely not a problem one bit. And if you have a series x when you turn on the Dolby atoms profile in the audio settings it’s so good. Going to buy a 7x or 9x for my ps5 though so I can use it on my Xbox incase they’re better then the stealths. Edit: wtf the Xbox version has the chat balance mix slider. Why would they not include it on the ps5 one!? Smh 🤦♂️

that is the downside to a good headset is the lack of the option for the chat, game audio mix , especially when you have multiple monitors , and you have a how to video , like raiding or a specific tutorial and you want to simply adjust the sound of the second monitor that has the video playing , and the main monitor , while you sit in a safe zone , you have to minimize and move and blah blah,, just to change the sound , im glad you noted this option in the video , i thought the second dial on the headset was the voice chat option for sound ... , guess i can keep shopping around ,, NICE VIDEO < THNXXX
Stealth 400 and 500 has separate volume sliders. One for game and the other one for party chat. I've had them for 5 years just because of this.. please if you know another mic with this feature then let me know
Great video but I have 2 gripes with this review. The first is about no 3.5mm jack. If the battery is dying and your still playing just plug them in to a wall charger. If you don't have 10+ft usb cables as a gamer what are you doing with your life? I do this with my hyperx headset all the time with no issues. Second is the game/chat mixer. No headphones are capable of this besides the Pulse 3D headset so that argument is irrelevant. Plus its super easy to adjust that in the menu on the PS5. I just purchased a set of these today because my hyperx set is showing signs of age. To me this seems like the best headset for $150. And I always loved the flip feature for the mic. There's no guessing whether your mic is muted or not. That's the one thing I can't stand about my hyperx pair.
Have you tried turtle beach stealth 400 or 500? They have one slider for just party chat volume, and one slider for just game volume. This mic is very old at this point and the only reason I haven't changed is because of this single feature. I also appreciate the replaceable and adjustable microphone and the battery life that's around 15 hours even though it's at least 5 years old. If another mic has those sliders then please let me know.

The one thing that no one mentions about these is that that the previous version had Turtle Beach Surround Sound on the PS4 but they removed it from these. Why does that matter because nobody has a PS5 and millions of us are stuck with the PS4 until they finally catch up with demand. The Arctis 7P is the same. Until you get a PS5 you will be playing on a standard stereo headset on your old console. They did a very good job of covering this up and UA-cam reviewers are all ignoring it too. I mean these have PS4 right on the box but don't look for 3D audio cause it's not there anymore.
I wish you compared the mic to the Gen1 instead of mics of other brands. Most of the people looking to buy this are people that already had/have the Gen1
Got these for Christmas, worked great for 4-5 days. Went to play yesterday and they are bricked. Headset won’t turn on, light won’t turn on. Googled a solution and apparently this is an issue for many customers. Such a shame because I’ve always liked TurtleBeach headsets, looks like I’m going to try something else.
Same happened to me. Twice! The first time they broke, had to return them, bought the same ones again and still has some bugs and issues with the second headset as well. I expected better from Turtle beach, what a shame.
Ended up buying the Astro A40’s for PS5, love them.

I bought the 700 gen 2 and blackshark v2 pro for my kids Christmas. The TB is used on series x which is great for it and blackshark for ps5. Very happy with both, don't know that I would use the 700 gen 2 for ps5 though

Finally a review that mentions the static distortion in the menus!
PS5 & PS4 menus suffer from this weird distortion. I thought that it was only in menus but playing The Last of Us 2 on PS5 some of the moody soundtrack had tones that suffered from the weird distortion so that was a no go for me, and obviously not just a PlayStation menu sounds issue.
I agree it’s not a faulty unit problem it’s hopefully just a firmware issue, but we’ll see. Returned them for now but will watch for the firmware updates.

I don't understand why people say that there are some headsets that won't take full advantage of tempest. 3D audio can be pulled off with any stereo headset or buds. PS5 software and hardware allows tempest to be used on anything.

Response to your title: I don't particularly care what you say about the Stealth 700 Gen 2, because I own a pair, and they are awesome. Works great on my PS5 digital only, no menu static or anything on mine, and I have it dongled to the PS%, and bluetooth connected to my tablet for two audio inputs. Works flawlessly, and even with bluetooth enabled I get 20+ hours battery life.
I have always liked Turtle Beach headsets, My first was a pair of px22's which were the best headset I ever put on my head until I got the Stealth 700 gen 2. I tried a lot of other brands between those two, steelseries, logitech, corsair, JBL, Senheiser, ect ect. I like the corsair void pro, I use that for my PC when I don't want to swap the dongle for the 700 Gen 2 over to the PC.

Funny thing is these are fantastic on the series x, so much so that I also got the ps5 version because of my experience on the series x, but for some reason they aren’t as good on the Ps5, I can confirm the static noise on the menu.

Yes! I have the Gen 1 version on my Xbox Series X and they work perfectly. I also have the Gen 1 version for PS5 and it's complete garbage with constant disconnecting and static so I bought the Gen 2 verison for PS5 thinking it would fix the issues I was having but it is arguably worse because of the constant static and hissing noise.

I have them over a year for the ps5, very pleased with it. Now I got the new xbox but bought the microsoft wireless headset, such a dissapointment. Returning these, and getting the same TB for my xbox also.
I have these on my Series X and they sound fantastic, I was hoping they would be the same on PS5. I’m not impressed with the 3D pulse for PS5 since having the 700 gen 2 on the Xbox. Not impressed with the 3D audio at all really. I keep turning it off. I can use my Pulse 3D with the Xbox and they sound better on there than they do with the PS5, just wish I could use my Xbox 700 gen 2 on the PS5 🤷♂️

@@sunnys2776 no issues at all. Have been using them for a week now. Battery life is very long, the cooling gel earcups are NOT a gimmick, they’re actually really cold and comfy. The sound punched. Mic quality is good. I’m coming from the original Stealth 700 so this is a great successor. And the static issue is gone like I said.

So this is what’s happening if anybody can help,I can hear myself talk and when I do the microphone tests it shows that it works and when I’m in a party I can see my microphone moving but when in game I can’t talk but I can hear the game and others talking..I also tried connecting it through Bluetooth to my ps4 but when it pops up on the Bluetooth options,It gives me a message saying not compatible..I bought the ps4 version of it so i am Confused

Lmao the glasses friendly part on this head set comes from being able to take the ear cups off, and there’s a little lever type thing you can pull up or down to lessen or add tension to where the frames of your glasses sit. Also I don’t know what you’re talking about with not being able to use this headset for streaming...? I used the stealth 600 gen 2 and it worked perfectly fine for streaming my voice
I went with your recommendation in a previous comment to me, and after initially buying the Sony pulse 3D, I ended up buying these, the 7p’s and the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro’s, and I ended up settling on the Razer ones. They are INCREDIBLE. Literally naw-dropping sound. There is lots of settings for the mic, as well as the speakers. They fit extremely comfortably. I absolutely love them. My only gripes about them would be that they are almost $200 and lack Bluetooth, and have micro-usb charging. But they are an absolute dream!!! The 7p’s got very loud. But the audio was very crunchy and dirty. I didn’t realize this until I got the 700 Gen 2’s. The sound was like 5 times cleaner than the 7p’s. They sounded absolutely beautiful. My only issue with those was the fact that they just did not get very loud at all. They sounded pretty good. But they just never BUMPED like the arctis. The arctis was the loudest but sounded like crap, UNLESS, you plugged it in.... that solved the crunchy audio, but then why am I buying a wireless headset for?? They also sounded really flat to me. Like, noticeably flat, a lot of the time. The TB sounded better, and I LOVED the features for the price!!! But they were still pretty uncomfortable to me and they just lacked that oomph, that WOW. The arctis were not very comfortable to me either. As someone with a pretty big head, and lots of really thick hair, I felt like I was pushing the headband to its limits. My ears also touched the drivers on the arctis. Which is the entire reason I needed to replace the Pulse 3D in the first place. The Razer Blackshark however, is just fantastic. It weighs like, as much as a sheet of construction paper. They are plenty loud!! Still not as loud as the arctis lol but that’s okay. They sound absolutely incredible. The comfort is absolutely exceptional. My ears still touch the drivers, but I guess that just happens on every headset for me. I do not have big ears so idk what’s going on lol. But the Razer has a beautiful layer of padding there, so it does not become uncomfortable. If you were planning on one of these two headsets and have a little extra spending room, or just want a good upgrade from the Pulse 3D, after personally doing testing on every headset, I would HIGHLY recommend the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro’s!!! Outstanding audio quality!!!

My personal experience. Bought these TBS700 G2s today. Annoying static noise in the PS5 menus. Navigation input sound effect has distortion/echo (not sure how to describe it). Turning off 3D Audio does help but I'll only to a degree. The 'Super Hearing' thing is just plain awful. Plugging in my old (over 10 years old) wired Sennheiser's couldn't be more of a contrast. Sound is perfect & confirms all the problems mentioned above. Shame. These TBS700 G2 are really comfortable. I wanted to like them

Nice review. I use them for Xbox series x and IMO they’re pretty good. I don’t seem to have those issues in particular. All the issues I had I fixed them and very happy with it. Which was chat volume and the clamp force. Both fixed and 100% happy with it.

They are basically the same but the 700’s have more features like Bluetooth and are built way better.

600 gen 2 static noise is wayyy worse I’ve had them both
They eye glass channel was enough for them to be a good purchase my old headset would pinch them and would cause pain after 30 minutes
I found that if you hit the mode button on these headphones as they are paired on your PS5 (with the dongle), you may find that on one of these modes, the static is gone. Also, if the volume is sort of low, try adjusting it on the overall volume headset. Hope that helps those that have these.
You do know the glasses friendly actually means it has a tab on the ear cup to adjust it. Just gotta pop it off first and do it.

I haven't really tested this but if I had to guess they probably don't lose battery since you can still use them wired even when the battery's dead

I would buy the arctis 7p just because of 3D audio and durability. My current headset broke easily so I need one that lasts long. Unfortunately the 7p costs about 50$ more than 700p gen 2 where I live but It’s almost better in every way
I have the Xbox version of the headset and honestly is amazing as connects direct to my xbox or my PC with the Xbox wireless receiver, currently they are down under £/$100 on the UK/US Turtle Beach site as refurbished, I ordered them and they look brand new

3D Audio on PS5 is basically fake 7.1 so unless a headset claims it can do 7.1 audio it will never fully support the 3D Audio and this headset was never designed to reproduce 7.1 audio at all.
Imagine doing a review on a product and never opening the manual. Did you try taking the foam off the headset for the glasses adjustment?

one thing i can definitely attest to is the glasses friendly feature. i have an old pair of TBs that after a while it feels like my glasses are literally cutting into my skin around my ears, but as for sound, my 700s are pure shit. That distortion sound you talk about during the menus doesn't just stick to the menus for me and it drives me nuts every time it pops up, but I still got a ps4, so I guess they're not completely useless as a helicopter ejector seat.
Not sure why your mic monitor does not work, but for the Xbox one it works for me. I’m able to turn down my party without having to go to my part chat mix. Hopefully it works soon!
You can also charge your headset while playing.
No chat mixer? That's strange the Xbox version has independent chat and independent game volume sliders on the headset. No mixer just completely independent audio tuning for both
PlayStation has a shitty Bluetooth alternative compared to Xbox therefore all wireless headsets for ps4 and 5 need a usb transmitter unlike Xbox which is impossible to have part and game chat independently through.

I was very disappointed with this headset. Got Static and distortion coming from them I contacted turtle beach to get a replacement and/or refund and they just sent an automated email about updating the firmware which didn’t really help the problem so I just sold them and got the arctis 7p which are a huge improvement over the stealth gen2s

Looks like there are some settings you missed in the PS5 for 3D audio adjustments, and the companion phone app to mix and monitor. I moving from the Astro A50s, these seem like the better option for headphones once theyre dialed in.
You couldn’t have went from A50 gen4 to these. Had to have been gen3
@@703rayThey are Gen3, Not really impressed with anything in the market atm. Astro sold out, cost reduced, and there is an adapter for spdif to usb for PS5. Ended up buying logitech G935, but they lack adjustability (team chat, game vol. etc) on console.

Any headphones can do 3D audio. It is software based on PS5 not hardware based for headphones.
Game chat mix was only possible with the optical port, it's no longer exist on PS5.

Well this one is out of my options too for the PS5 everything keeps pointing to the Sony Headset so far. Seems like a lot of these headsets claim PS5 capabilities which really don’t. They seem more like PC headsets they tried to make PS5 compatible then stuff doesn’t perform as it should. I want wireless that allows the full use of 3D audio with mic without a bunch of wiring everywhere.
Mic sounded wayyy better on the 700. Mic sounds terrible on the 7p. Also, you can charge and play on both the stealth 700 and 600 (I have both). Hope that helps people decide

So does Gen 2. But its done on an app on your phone.

In season one of cod mw, when the biggest gripe was "loud foot steps" this in fact was D. Audio point.at it's inception. NOW, its totally trash, and should not attributed to HS platforms.

I really like the idea of 3d audio and I'm getting mixed messages from sources, and when I hopefully get a ps5 I'm really looking forward to spiderman. What would you say? The glasses for feature you have to take the ear cups off, and pull the tab and it will make a recess for your glasss arm. 😂 directional sound I find amazing. Cold War. I’m pulling the trigger the moment before they walk though the door!!! The audio quality is the same before and after the firmware update. Updating the firmware was a NIGHTMARE on pc I couldn’t do it!!! I had to use a Mac it’s terrible and Turtlebeach offer NO support at all!!! If you buy these you’re on your own. How ever I’m very happy with them!!

Hmmm I have these for series x and they’re legit af. They’re clear and I can pinpoint people on warzone. Directional audio is definitely not a problem one bit. And if you have a series x when you turn on the Dolby atoms profile in the audio settings it’s so good. Going to buy a 7x or 9x for my ps5 though so I can use it on my Xbox incase they’re better then the stealths.
Edit: wtf the Xbox version has the chat balance mix slider. Why would they not include it on the ps5 one!? Smh 🤦♂️
