Making a Rustic Wood Flag with LED lights

This video shows how I make a rustic wood flag using the x-carve to engrave the union stars. Then we take it to the next level by adding LED lights to the back.

@@tq2655 they don’t make these colors anymore but I can tell you these are minwax water based stains and they can mix them for you at lowes. I don’t know the new names

How do you get the remote controller to work with the boxes on the back of the flag?

I mounted the infrared eye close to the bottom of the flag. This is what the remote uses to work not the battery boxes. 👍🏽

Question? Does the sensor on the lighting still pick up the remote signals? In other words, can sit across the room and use the remote to operate the lights still?

Adam N the sensor picks up the remote but you have to aim it towards the bottom of the flag and be within a couple feet.

when it comes to flags there are more beautiful than mine I made my own flag solid wood on the you tube finished wood processed there were no templates of stars 50 stars were drawn by my hand

60 degree V-bit?

Mike Trent thanks for the comment! I used vcarve pro and a 90 vbit. The link to the bit is in my description. It’s not too pricey and works great. It’s my favorite for v-carving.

Great video but a “how to “ video need to have all the info to make the flag lol , measurement for the flag , the color of paint , exct . Adding all those details for beginner viewers would help them in finding the products they need
