Walking round this great car. Automotive history being discussed with Henry was incredible. Very knowledgeable and fact that is 1 of 2. And hes got the other 3 chassis. Insane.
That is a spectacular Ford GT. So old yet looks like it is still a futuristic design. Thank you James your videos are epic. You always find the greatest cars to bring to life. From your epic videos to your behind the scenes and then your interactions with Nico and DDE, you are killing it.
One of the true automotive masterpieces. Great video! IMO that Ford GT40 is one of the 5 best looking sports cars ever made. I prefer the red & gold color scheme to the blue & orange gulf livery.
I owned a Superformance Alan Mann GT40, it was made for Alan Mann before he died. From a child I loved the GT40, but sadly I never really gelled with it, a steal at the time at £120K! Still love them 👍
Nowhere that he’s pointed out the sill change that’s all I see ! That said it’s the apex predator of sports cars, and my personal favourite with the 917 K just behind it.
Mr JWW Absolutely Incredible Video I think it's awesome that you got to check out that Absolutely incredible Alan Man GT40 Lightweight and talk with Alan man's son
@@vernonbrown5168 beautiful choice buddy. That would be my #2 selection. Same color scheme as my 2006 Mustang GT. Vista Blue with painted white LeMans stripes. 👍
Dennis Gauge of My Classic CarTV (it's on YT) drove both the Alan Mann GT40 and the new same liveried GT (a step up from Tim Burton's Shmee's version tbh) about a month ago. The owner barely fits in it!! The GT40 lightweight sounds monstrous and menacing!! And worth it's about ten of the new car apparently....
Yes racing very dangerous in the early day, especially in the 50s when men were driving those torpedo shaped f1 cars like sterling moss used to drive@@allensaunders449

timeless beauty. There is nothing like the sound of a big ole American V-8 w/carbs and the smell of gasoline!

Thank you man. This was so wholesome. Glad to see some appreciation for the absolute warriors those drivers were. These legends keep me inspired.
It's still a stunning car! Just mouthwatering frankly! You were correct! Brave men!
An amazing piece of motoring history. So cool to hear Henry’s knowledge of the car 😎

What I like most about your content is the variety and actual value. Not the typical “rebuild a GT3” or “watch me build a shop”. Thank you

A special car! Alan Mann Racing amazing history and great to see Henry!
Wow, what a car, and what a story.
Thanks James and Mr Mann
😎😎😎👍👍👍
Quite like the way this video is done James, more like it please!
Absolutely brilliant video
Thank you.
Always loved these Ford GT 440's.
How have I never seen your channel?! Last couple Dde vids were great with you!
The turntable video light show is just 🔥
Just amazing engineering, and that was more than 50 years ago :)
Lola engineering had to be redone by Mr. Shelbey and somwhat independently of Mr.Shelbey, Mr. Mann also had to redo Lola engineering.
a gem review, cheers
Very beautiful collection and great review
I would hug that car
I see an investment opportunity, Mr. JWW, build the other three chassis😅😅
A cigarette will not light gasoline on fire, that’s only in the movies 😂😂
a cig can absolutely light gas. more specifically it lights the fumes with the proper gas/oxygen mix ratio though
The body is made from a magnesium alloy.
Merely thinking of a cigarette and youll find your hair on fine.
I'd love to see more stuff with Alan Mann history and the documents you were discussing. Would be very interesting.
That thing looks amazing 👌
Nice vid. What a car.
WOW 😮 Just brilliant !!!!!👍🇦🇺

I liked them gt40 le mans blue
Just another banger by James, always finding gems to share. I am looking forward to the Gumball content.
Love hearing from you bro ✌️
American muscle car museum in Melbourne, Florida! Right next to the dog track. Owner is amazing and does many charity events at the museum!
Amazing
So cool!!
Shmee needs to get a pic with his GT next to it

My dream car is mk1 gt40 replica
Same here buddy. Gulf livery done up like David Hobbs #7 car. Straight stripe from nose to tail. 👍

you should get in touch with carwow and do a drag race. 🎉
why does this video reminds me of a past jww video?
🥇💎
So when are you building one of the three?
Thank you. No way in hell I'd take that car on the road but nice piece of history.
Certain UA-camr gonna piss his pants over thith
Crazy that they used to be friends
❤
No electronic safety features, cross ply tyres, and paper thin body. 200MPH. Men were men in those days.
Men died in those days not romantic
@allensaunders449 regrettably they still do despite all the improvements

I prefer knowing that my favorite drivers will most likely live to a nice old age past retirement.
I offer you my PS2 with a lot of game as a trade for the Ford and you deliver
