The thing about his impressions is he doesn't overdo it. He makes sure to do them with respect for the person he's impersonating.
Exactly, he’s coming from a good place so it makes it better to accept the belief of the voice

Big rule of impressions is to only do people you like, otherwise it's just a crappy lampoon

Bill’s Alan Alda is one of the most accurate impressions I’ve ever seen.
I love how this video gives you the real actors as well because some of the older ones I didn't quite recognize. But yeah everything was pretty much spot on. His Keith Morrison impression is probably my favorite.

It's the best impression I've ever heard. Shut your eyes and it's Alan. They should get him to voice over some old Mash scripts while the show is playing on a TV. It would be flawless.

he does such a fantastic job nailing the inflections of mannerisms of people who you wouldn't even think of having an odd or outlandish enough tone of voice to do an impression of. he really brings them to life.

What I think is the funniest about this video is that Bill Hader has even taken the time to perfect impressions of celebrities such as Alan Alda and James Mason, who I'd loved watching back in the day, though people today may not know him.
Right. Well, Alan Alda I grew up watching (I'm probably older than you), but James Mason not so much. Of course he's watched a ton of old movies and I imagine some people just strike him in a way he wants to imitate.

This guy's ability to do various impersonations is amazing, truly remarkable. The James Mason impersonatkion is probably my favorite along with Alan Alda. I would bet he could do almost any impesonation if he puts his mind to it.

You know someone is really good at impressions when you have no idea who they’re referring to, but the second they start impersonating them you know exactly who they’re talking about. Bill Hader has that talent in spades! Crazy.

He's absolutely amazing. He has over 200 voices and does over 150 impressions which is unfathomable.
