🙏🏻🙏🏻
Big fan of both you guys. I got my MM2H last February and hope to be there more often soon. Maybe I will catch up with you two!!!
Sounds great! I wan Andrew to cook Mee Goreng again!
Sarawak is run almost like a separate country. Same with Sabah. That was part of the agreement when Malaysia was formed. Think of them not as a state like Selangor, Penang, etc., but like a country such as Scotland. It is part of the UK, but it has a lot of autonomy from England.
well explained
Exactly bro!
ah
The Malaysian invention thing is so super fun omg
yep!
It's comforting to watch Andrew videos for me ,living overseas most of my lives
That’s great 🏝️
My former boss in an Educational Technology Centre at a local University was a French American Malaysian Muslim. He was the brother to Kennedy’s Press Secretary. He built a house in a village not far from the city centre of KL that won the Aga Khan architecture award. He passed away just before the covid era. He started living here after his stint with the American Peacecorp programme in the late ‘60s that saw many Americans with various educational and skill background coming to Malaysia to assist in various fields mainly teaching. Correct me if I ‘m wrong.
most probably that is the case... thanks for sharing!
@@CKology u ur welcome 🤗
yay
I just subscribed Andrew and suddenly you met him... great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
💜 thanks for the sub
Yes, CK, Kimberly glove make in Malaysia. Thank you for sharing all this good information.❤
cool
N94 mask is also invented by a Malaysian. I think it was a Chinese Malaysian from Penang.
Very true 👏🏻👏🏻
Malaysian women is a founder of Collection Surface Method (CSM), is based on the observed lightning damage to buildings instead of power lines. It allows engineers to predict lightning strike locations on a building and design an effective lightning protection system by placing lightning rods at the predicted locations - a technique which was never before developed by any scientists. Which nowadays it is a part of standard IEC62305 worldwide.
Wow nice to know ⚡️
Hello from CA. Congratulations on moving to Malaysia! Malaysia is a great country! I would love to move to Sarawak but don't meet the requirements. Easier to meet people in Malaysia & Indonesia if your older.
Thanks 4 interview. America susah sekali untunk orang yg tua tanpa keluarga, more fun in Malaysia!
🙏🏻🙏🏻 for watching
I’m an American and I been in Malaysia for 5 weeks. I spent a month in Penang. I would love to stay for an extended trip, but the new MM2H Visa requirements are way out of my budget.
So far, I’m shocked by the weather. I wasn’t expecting rain every night. I’m also surprised by all the Malls. We no longer have a mall culture in the U.S.
I spent 2 months in Thailand before coming here and I’m surprised how much better the infrastructure is here in Malaysia. Thailand is still very much a cash society. That means not much is collected for taxes and you can see the lack of funding in the roads, sidewalks, and public works.
But overall I like Malaysia better than all the other countries I visited except Mexico.
Thanks for sharing your experiences! We hope to welcome more retirees in Malaysia.
I was mesmerized by this two ,the way they connected, great!! A very interesting content, not aware of how clever Malaysians are....hey....what about Jimmy Choo....you left him out lol....Andrew looked amazed too..Andrew should start online business for men's shirts...he certainly has good taste!! I would buy one for my hubby for sure..or two!!!
Andrew was just the best candidate when it comes to doing interview! Thanks for watching!
Ahhhhh Taylor! your becoming a STAR
He is my 🌟
Wow, this is so interesting, CK. I didn't even know the 8 things invented by Malaysians. Glad you add that into this video.
Plus facemask! Invented by Malaysian!
Another great and interesting video once again. Thank you CK 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

Thank you too!
Top invention by Malaysian which changed the world - face mask ( Wu Lien-teh )
Ah ! So true!
Love all your travel and foodie shows. This interview was such an interesting and different treat. Thank you. And especially since I coincidentally had previously and separately seen the American gentleman's videos. And with great interest, I might add.
Now, only if he would properly pronounce "Sarawak." I'm also an American, so I'm not ready to let him off the hook so fast on bad pronunciation.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🙏🏻 it was a pleasure taking to Andrew
CK, you are really good infront of camera. So confident, natural, spontaneous and chatty.. This is the right fit for you..
Awww sweet 🍬
I saw you today at Dayang Sarawak Ampang Point. The food isnt nice. You should try The Yarl and Ukay Heights Bakery near SPCA Ampang Jaya @Andrew Taylor

🙏🏻 thanks ♥️♥️
Sadly within the last year the requirements for retiring to Malaysia became much more difficult for most and without warning. The reality is many were forced to leave the country. If I had not already settled in Thailand I would not hesitated to live in Malaysia as I find it in many ways superior to any other country in the region. Malay tends to already attract a much higher quality of foreigners than elsewhere. I wish Thailand would do the same and thin out the riff raff but its all about $$$.
Quite sad ❤️🩹
Earn more $$$ Fighitng!
oh....
Some say it is due to China. But I guess there is always a solution to a problem.
That could be the case
Very interesting regarding the inventions of Malaysian. people.
We invented facemask too
Sarawak My 2nd Home has now increased the residence time in Sarawak per annum to 30 days. Frankly it is a deal breaker for me. Sarawak is an adventure travel destination but I am 74. I once spent 10 days in Kuching and was bored to death after 3 days. The authorities don't seem to understand that retirees are sedentary and are not interested in travelling up wild rivers etc. I am holding out some for the forthcoming Sabah My 2nd Home scheme, but probably it will be much the same as the Sarawak scheme. I have lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand for 15 years and would like to move to KL which I have visited many times. But I don't think it is going to happen. The governments who create these schemes should drop the attitude that they are simply doing foreigners a favour and consult with them. Of course it is a privilege to live in Malaysia, but the same thing applies to Thailand where the government is more realistic.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Those who like city life Kuala Lumpur, Capital City. To live quality life is Ipoh, Perak.
good point
Done watching ck.. Take care yourself always..
Thanks for your support always Melba!
A nice interview! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Would love to move to Penang. Would do it in a flash. Were it not for the excessive requirements now of the Malaysia My Second Bank...ahem...I mean, Malaysia My Second Home program.
I know exactly what you mean ✨
RM 1 million is $ 220.750,55 US dollars and requirement of over $ 8000.00 dollars month. That is a lot of money to live in another country. I have visited KL and other part’s of the country and loved it, but now, if my numbers are right they have made it just about impossible to move there unless the person is a millionaire. Unless a person is going to do a 90 day visa, leave and come back and do another 90 day. Sooner or later I don’t that’s going to work. And a person may find themselves in legal problems. It sounds like millionaires are welcome but others are not. A friend wants to live there, he has 40 thousand in savings and gets more than 2 thousand dollars a month in retirement. He doesn’t think he would qualify. But he wants to live in Malaysia. What do you think?
My friend tells they changed the requirements, now it’s a $125 thousands to deposit in a bank and $2,500 thousand. The $2,500. Is no problem but $125 thousand in deposit would be a problem so he move to the Philippines or another country nearby and visit Malaysia every so often.
Good to know
The new rules certainly is very confusing
@@CKology it’s very confusing. I will just visit and live in a country nearby. My friend think he will do the same. He and I are not millionaires. We both have enough money to live very well, but Malaysia requirements is a little much. We will look again at the Philippines in the BGC area. What I have seen and experience of BGC is very nice. Many business of America has relocated there. Many corporations have move there. The area is protected, very little crime if any at all. No panhandles, extremely clean. And very little traffic. When I visited there it completely different from year back. It’s more than I expected. And the visa requirement is not that difficult like Malaysia. I couldn’t hardly believe were I was. BGC is the area to stay. It’s a beautiful area of the Philippines, we stay on 28 floor over looking city at night, the swimming pool was the 30th floor over looking everything below. We were taking to the mall every day, service were provided by the Condominium management at no cost. The people was extremely nice. We met people from many different countries. Restaurants on top of building over looking the city and on ground level were five star . Everything first class. ATM everywhere. We both like Malaysia, but as I said we are not millionaires. We stayed in a condominium it was so high up we could see city in every direction, at night a view like no other. Everything you could imagine or want was there. So I believe on till Malaysia change some requirements it will be the Philippines for us. Check it out on UA-cam. The BGC area of the Philippines. I almost forgot the malls are so large you will get lost. And every store from America you will find them. All the name brands designers stores are there. I wear expensive clothes from designer market , no problem.
All good points. Many thanks ☀
I have a question about hiring domestic helper/care workers for disabled people. I think this is in many people's mine and yet haven't seen any utuber brush on this subject ?
We don’t have experience on this but helpers are easily hire as agencies are available here 🫡
I would think that if you were promoting retirement in Malaysia you wouldn’t say negative things about the food or the weather. My husband and I retired to Penang Island in April and have absolutely no negatives
good 4 u guys! Thanks for watching
This video did not come as negative about retirement in Malaysia at all to me - he just doesn’t like fish and after living here for 7 years myself I can agree there is not much cool weather. In my opinion that is a bonus😂.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very informative.. TQ👍🎉
Welcome 😊 and thanks for watching
Are you two brothers? 😮
Oh I wish
mmmmm enjoys stay Malaysia enjoy your life
TQ TQ
With new friend bro
Yep 🪒🪒
You missed the most important invention for the past 2 years which is the face mask, invented by Dr.Wu Lien Teh from Penang.
Omg 😱
The change to the mm2h program is exaggerated. I think the program will fail now. Ironically the program will bring in less money than before. I heard it was done to stop over applications for one country. If that's the case, the government should have placed quotas.
So true, thanks for sharing!
With the new MY2H, the amount needed you could live in Europe.
gosh
@@sdnalyam True. But you can apply for the Sabah MM2H program. Need only income RM10k per month, liquid assets RM500k if under 50.
ah... i c...
Can a US citizen who qualifies for Sarawak MM2H visa live in Penang or Kuala Lumpar 11 months of the year.
Sure u can ⭐️ the main requirement is to b in Sarawak two weeks a year besides $$ check out their official website
@@CKology Ok, requirement has changed to 30 days not 2 weeks anymore. That is a little longer and requires more effort to have 2 places to live.
Thanks for updating us!
Taylor is getting Celebrity status.
He’s mr star ⭐️
I knew about Lytro but I had no idea those other things were invented by Malaysians!
Amazing right ?
Awesome news Sarawak Mm2H
Yep 🐯
Are you two a couple?
Omg 😳
Why he went viral?
He DID!
Do not retire in expensive places like Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Europe, Canada!
agree
Im a Malaysian and lived in Europe and NY, Texas and LA in USA.. the cost of living is just too high and the gun control fear factor under the 2nd Amendment is so worrying.. Im so grateful to be back in Malaysia.
@@flahmadzaki2172 good for you. Living in the US is just boring.
That's sad 2 hear
Ah is that so?

Go for it
Yes....I met a few White couples in my village during Xmas celebration in Kuching few years back n love living in Sarawak 👍🤗
That's great
Did a Malaysian woman invent anything other than Malaysian men?
What?
@@CKology All 6 of the inventors were men. My question is, did any Malaysian woman invent anything other than the creation through birth of Malaysian men?
I am sure the women have contribute in many areas! Michelle Yeoh just won us an oscar!
What are the fish dishes? 🐟 How prepared? 🍚
Good question 🐟🐟
But which part of Malaysia is he living in?
We are both in KL 🔶
@@CKology nice 👍
thanks ! 💕

It’s fabulous 🥚🥚

👍👍👍
Thanks ♥️
You have missed out the most important Malaysian invention. Biometric passports in 1998
👌
I really wish you didn't interject him feeding or leading him to obvious answers when he's trying or making effort to answer ur own Qs. As an interviewer one don't lead guest interviewee by providing answers. Let it flow naturally ie Andrew taking time to ponder to respond genuinely. Sadly, ur over excitement was an overkill. Andrew as a guest interviewee should be the focus with adequate chance to express himself instead of you dominating ur voice monopolising the so-call 'talk show' - tho its yours. Really pity Andrew watching him overwhelmed by interjections. Sigh!
It's all for fun! I am glad I met Andrew! Thanks for watching n your comment
Seems like an interactive interview, very smooth and fun.
