SPOILER: I managed to sell the PS5 for £150, however it then got cancelled. I decided to put it on an auction, and only got £125 for it (GG). I’ll update the spreadsheet for the next episode! As always, thanks for watching ❤
Pineapple! Fantastic video. Love the mix of live stream and edited video. I don't often get a chance to watch your live streams and this makes me feel like I'm not missing out too much! Thanks joey
Joey, you should get an ultrassonic cleaner. Those water damaged boards sometimes can be restored with a clean. Same goes for controllers with stick drift sometimes.
I don’t do this as a job or a hobby but I do have an ultrasonic cleaner and they are amazing for cleaning so many things. It’s well worth looking into. BTW pineapple!
Pineapple MOFO!!!!! What a re-ball, very impressed you did that without a board heater :0 ( gives me hope that one day, I will be able to re-ball stuff )
Hey joey ive had 2 ps5 in the past with a bad southbridge and after replacing it it did the exact same issue, i replaced it again and its fixed the issue so it was a bad southbridge that i used Maybe you can try replacing it just to make sure 😃
Pineapple! I know that feeling of having it working after some major fixing done to it :) How do you hold the wick when cleaning the solder pads without getting burned? Are the gloves enough? Because if I hold it with the tweezers or the pliers it will soak up the heat and reduce the ability to remove them...
Do you have to use the solder paste? Can you not put a bit of flux on the surface of the APU and then use the stencil only to get actual solder balls in place?
That gunk looks like someone spilled cocacola, pepsi or some of cola drink on it. I know this because back in 2020 I bought a 2018 Dell XPS 13 9360 for $170 from guy who said that their child had spilled cocacola on it. The keyboard wasn't working, and the insides were filled with this exact black gunk you see on the switch. Surprisingly the laptop was fully working except for the keyboard and the screen that was stained on the left side (screen was still working). Took it apart, cleaned all the gunk from the motherboard and keyboard (I had to take out of the keycaps to thoroughly clean it). Put it back together and bam, the keyboard was fully working again. Ordered a new screen from AliExpress for like $120 and the laptop was as good as new. I am typing this comment on this exact machine 4 years later with no issues whatsoever. I just changed the battery this year because it wasn't holding any charge, and this thing is ready to rock for a couple of years.
Joey Could you tell me if the capacitors under the switch cpu are low resistance, which will be detected as shorted even though it's normal. I read this on one of your old videos that i need to look for resistance values. I just dont know what values to look for.
Very nicely done on the APU. Never seen the TPM on the PS5, but any chance a reflow would have helped it? Or was it solid on the board? Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
I have a 2023 17 inch HP that a repairshop dumped due to water damage (Everything was blue), turns out 30 minutes of cleaning and the only thing broken is the LCD or the LCD cable (No backlight but board has 12V rail and connector is burned away on the ribbon)
Have a bless day too Joey! Loved seeing the video from the livestream I remember watching the live and cursing at the template. When it powered on in the livestream I stood up shouted “come on” too 😂 see you soon my friend
There is an old church near me that was bombed out during the war. Right on top of the tower it has a pineapple on each corner which was added in 1767.
Pineapple. You must also have a blessed day and thank you for the cool video. I am new to your channel and watched a few videos without subscribing. I will do so now. Cheers mate.
joey, do you only sell locally on ebay or do you also ship internationally? I would also be interested in buying the ones you can't repair but I can never see your ads.
Giving up on the water damaged switch might rob you of an experience of reviving a close to dead device and who knows if most of the components survived despite coming to contact with water. Great content nevertheless ❤❤❤

Pineapple Chunks! Great Repair, Repair attempts, and Video. Thank You.
Good job on the last one. BGA like that always feels great to complete once you get the knack for it.
Pineapple. Amazing video. I started watching these vids about a couple of weeks ago. Can't get enough.
I love your excitement when successfully fixing the second switch. Pineapple is not my favorite and doesn't belong on pizza 😁
Pineapple, mega impressed with your soldering.
Lovely stuff! You managed to reball a Switch APU and it worked! Congrats!
I don’t do this as a job or a hobby but I do have an ultrasonic cleaner and they are amazing for cleaning so many things. It’s well worth looking into.

Pineapple! Of course made it to the end, always!
Pineapple 🍍! This was a beautiful repair!
Your wife might not leave you now, lmao 😂😂
Nice work, Joey :)
But before I look inside, I never plug in any items that could be liquid damaged/sticky/dirty.
Fantastic job reballing that CPU. You ought to be a proud pineapple
Do you have to use the solder paste? Can you not put a bit of flux on the surface of the APU and then use the stencil only to get actual solder balls in place?
Amazing CPU reballing Joey 🍍

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Well done mate, beast of a repair on that second Switch 🎉
"Pineapple" another awesome, educational video
Those dam micron rams are a pain and they're still present in the new slim models too seen a few of these issues recently.
Pineapples for that amazing trace repair!
pineapple, yeah good video and enjoyed it. Gives me some hope that I may actually get a bit better myself at repair. Nowhere near your level Joey.👍
Love the videos mate learn quite a bit watching you ❤
You have a steady hand mate 👍 pineapple
Nice job with the APU
Pineapple, but not on pizza, great fix, shame the other two consoles couldn't be fixed but such is life
That was no pineapple. That did look like cola. But that sure looked like a gutsy repair.
i want pineapple puzza now
see those consoles being revived is great really, great job, that steam had to be amazing
Grats for the reball m8!
I have a 2023 17 inch HP that a repairshop dumped due to water damage (Everything was blue), turns out 30 minutes of cleaning and the only thing broken is the LCD or the LCD cable (No backlight but board has 12V rail and connector is burned away on the ribbon)
Is it possible to drop a board like that in an ultrasonic cleaner with proper solvent to clean up a severe spill like that?
Skills. And of course. Pineapple.
Great Pineapple!
Pineapple, Congrats with the balling
Stupid question but why not just remove the stencil before trying to melt the solder?
Great repair! Pineapple😂
Have a bless day too Joey! Loved seeing the video from the livestream I remember watching the live and cursing at the template. When it powered on in the livestream I stood up shouted “come on” too 😂 see you soon my friend
Template! Stencil I meant 😂
There is an old church near me that was bombed out during the war. Right on top of the tower it has a pineapple on each corner which was added in 1767.

profit or loss has had better days, but without this you dont know what good ones are
Pinapple team!!!
try to flood the Southbridge with APA coz sometimes flux will stop it from working.
Sad you got finessed by the two switches, and unrepairable PS5, but great job overall, atleast we got to see some Pineapple.
Sound job pineapple 😂👍🏼😎
Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits, the bad news is that I’m allergic to it 😮
