After months of UA-cam procrastination I'm delighted to finally share this video with you guys!
A special day a few weeks back taking my Mum and Dad for their first flight in a light aircraft.
We departed Fife in the PA28 G-EVIE and headed towards Stirling.
The visibility was pretty poor but i knew the area well so was happy flying a bit lower, also gave my passengers some brilliant views.
We found the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle before requesting a Zone Transit through the Edinburgh CTR.
We were cleared from Longannet Power Station to the Forth Bridges, where we were kindly granted a right hand orbit, before departing the zone at Kirkcaldy.
All in all a great flight and i hope you enjoy the video.

Hey, Stuart, lovely video. I'm heading up to Scotland next week Friday14th, West Coast first and then over to the East coast heading back down to Wellesbourne EGBW 3 day trip. if you can offer any recommendations of places to see and airfields to visit, I would really appreciate it. Tnks
Thanks and great to hear you are planning a trip north! I am planning a flight for the West coast the week after you, and am planning on visiting Prestwick, Islay(Pronounced 'Eye-Lah') and Colonsay before heading back to Fife. I have heard the approach at Islay is beautiful with the runway situated on the coast of the island and some of the best beaches in Scotland lie on Colonsay so definitely check out those when you are planning.
You really do have your pick though with others such as Glenforsa, Coll and Tiree all well recommended and GA friendly. A popular route with amazing views is routing from Oban through Loch Ness up to Inverness - it's certainly on my to do list.
Not too many options for the East coast but you HAVE to land at Dundee (see another one of my videos). They are super friendly and the approach for 27 in particular is pretty special. Great spot also for lunch called the Bridgeview Station Restaurant which is really close to the airfield.
Hope this helps and enjoy your trip!
Stuart
Thanks, Stuart - Looking forward to it, just need the weather to forecast to behave a little for it all to happen, if not it's off to France!
Hi Pilot Stuart just to let you know there is small airfield about 10 mins west of Stirling in Thornhill. Look it up on your chart
+Pilot Stuart I will! Always looking for new fields to visit, hopefully heading to Islay next week - ever been ?
I am flying up at Scone today in a Cessna 152
