@@MrML4L Exactly. There is no doubting the talents behind each member of Queen but as you said, they had full use of some of the most advanced studio tech available at the time. The entirety of A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races were heavily manipulated and many rock bands of that era made use of synthesizers, voice doubling, echo effects etc. Hell even John Lennon (who was very critical of his own vocal ability) used voice effects such as "doubling" back during The Beatles days.
There were actual studies done on Freddie Mercury while he was alive and after his passing. His voice was one in many generations. What was found was that he was a freak of nature to be honest. His anatomy was just not like others and that added to his vocal range. Also Mercury believed that his overbite helped him sing the way he did. Refused to get dental treatment for it. He was truly amazing. You all need to watch Live aid when Queen performed.
Didn’t he actually have four extra incisors? (His childhood nickname in school back in Zanzibar was “Bucky, btw.”) Makes me think of Geddy Lee; if he had rhinoplasty-he does have a rather big nose-think how much it would change his voice, which has a nasally quality to it.

This is the second of your videos that I have watched…..I honestly don’t know what was more fun….watching almost all of the reactors separately over time reacting to such an amazing rollercoaster of a ride or watching them all together by way of your genius compilation. You are amazing! Thanks for such a fun ride back to Bohemian Rhapsody reactions! ♥️♥️♥️
This song was the brainchild of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer. It's actually 3 songs melded into 1. Queen was a great band. Freddie is by far one of the top 5 rock singers of all time!!
When Brian May and Roger Taylor were once asked what this song was about Roger famously replied “Not even Freddie knew what it was about and he wrote the fucking thing” 😂
Queen is one of the few bands that has influenced multiple generations of musicians, over just so many different styles and genres as well. And Freddie was more than just a singer. He was a force of nature. Everyone needs to see their performance at Live Aid. Even all these years later, you will sing when he tells you to, because he makes you want to sing along. You don't just watch their set. You become a part of it. It didn't matter if you were in front of the stage they were on, watching it from one of the other packed venues, or watching it on TV at home. They pulled you in and made you a part of the world they owned for those 20+ minutes they were on stage.
I love that you did this. Sometimes when I can’t sleep I just search for Bohemian Rhapsody reactions and watch for hours. It is such a joy to watch people discover this song, this band, for the first time. And ALWAYS - it is an autonomic response - everyone headbobs at the end. It just happens. I love it.
Two Queen songs that the younger generation may have heard are "Another one Bites the Dust" and "We are the Champions" because they are often played at major sports events.
I remember watching the video on Top of the Pops when it was released. It was the only thing anyone spoke about the next day in school. We learned every word and every note by the following week.
Shock & awe - that's all one can say. Folks just can't imagine a "rock opera". (Reference "Tommy" by The Who.). This masterpiece is #3 of the top 3 classic rock songs of all time. #2 - "Hey Jude", The Beatles; #1 - "Stairway To Heaven", Led Zeppelin. I know these are older songs, but if someone loves music & has been alive on this planet for ANY part of the past 60 yrs., at some point they should have heard these songs. If they haven't, prepare to experience - shock & awe. Thank you so much, friend, for this reaction compilation. You're bringing us the best of the best!
There is no song that compares to Bohemian Rhapsody. It is just so unique that no one has really tried to imitate (or not at least anything close to the original) this all time classic. Not to mention this was done long before the techniques that would make it easier today. That was one great and tight band and showed a high degree of musicianship vocally as well as instrumentally. RIP Freddie Mercury. We miss you.
Everybody should hear this song. I was so happy when my 16yo school band played it at their year-end concert last year! Music teachers teaching good music to teenagers
Wonderfully done...the song itself is enough of a rollercoaster, and any single reaction is fun to watch them ride it. Seeing all of these togther, with some nice editing choices, was just amazing. Almost like watching the music video again for the first time.
I was 12 years old when I first heard Bohemian Rhapsody on the radio. I thought it was the most amazing thing I’d ever heard. I pleaded with my older sister to drive me to the record store where I bought the 45(vinyl single record) I was lucky growing up in a house with an intercom/radio system because my parents used it to wake us kids up every morning exposing us to all types of music. I was also lucky to be the youngest of 4 kids born from 1952-63 because there were a lot of records being played. Thanks for taking be back and letting me relive my discovery through yours. 😊
I appreciate this channel the MOST..when it comes to Group Reactions. They let Reactors speak individually at the beginning and end!!. Very well done.. every time.
Momma OG, wonderful job of editing and treatment of what is one of the great musical compositions of our time. It's so much fun watching young people have their minds blown!
Oh my gosh! I wish I could go back in time and discover this absolute gem for the first time again. However I would have to go back 30 years in time. I remember being 4 years old and jamming to this in my lounge room. Fantastic edit! Keep them coming!! X
Great job researching the most authentic reactors in these compilations! You really captured the "Confusion" this video created, back then. I feel somewhat sorry for the newer generations who never experienced these classic '70's concerts and record albums, of this genre. Like you I have listened to these classics many. many times. They never get old, so Thanks for the work. you are doing good!
Thank you so much. I really try to find the genuine reactors... I may miss a couple until I've used them a couple of times. Thank you again for the kind words!
What a great compilation!! I see a lot of these compilations but this one I enjoyed the most I think because you analysed the data at the start lol. It speaks to me. I'm going to check out what else you got. Thanks 👍 😊
Love this and all the hard work that went into making this!! Thank you!! I love seeing young people discovering Queen for the 1st time! Freddie Mercury is the best male singer of all time to me!! Queen is my favorite band. The world lost the most iconic front man/singer when we lost Freddie!
You can tell by the facial expressions of the viewers that they haven't even processed what they are hearing and the group is already moving on to another incredible facet.
It's a masterpiece of something. One of the most unique songs ever recorded. Brilliant as it is, it's hard to describe. Freddie was one of the greatest.
While I was too young to be around when the song first came out, my gen. got to experience this gem of a song in the 90's in the movie Wayne's World..Im sure the car scene is here on youtube..the best part is Freddie got to see the car scene from the movie and loved it, even though he died before the movie was finished..
In all honesty, if someone asks "what bands are similar to Queen?" I really can't think of anything. They truly were and still are, a league of their own
Bohemian Rhapsody is a trip, a gateway drug to classic rock, it's a song you enjoy every single time and whenever it ends brings up the feeling 'why didn't you keep on going?!' it is a true piece of art to be enjoyed and shared among all the people of the world
When Queen rocked, they rocked hard 🤟 this song was one of the 1st music videos ever made back in the 70's. This song was in Wayne's World partying in the Pacer with "Phil" lol.
God I've heard this song a million times but watching all these beautiful people from all places and perspectives being move like that brought me to tears!❤
I /STILL/ get goosebumps from the solo, man. Brian May is a genius ( literally and figuratively ) with his guitar, man. This is one of my favorite solos from him, it sets up the rock transition perfectly.
I've notices from watching many reactions..if they weren't listening to music in the 70s/80s, they're shocked at transistions/change ups..Those of us who were there, it was introduced in the late 60s (Beatles did a lot of it), then so many in the 70s, a lot of rock was all about multiple transitions. We got used to it, then in the 90s music got so cookie cutter, the same stuff over and over, less creativity, just boring or autotune pop BS. Thank god I grew up back in the day!

I love to see when they make the connection..We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, We Will Rock You..almost everyone's heard those songs, but many don't connect them or know who made them.
To be fair, no one would guess that those three songs are by the same band. They sound nothing alike. For about a year after it came out I was sure that Crazy Little Thing Called Love was an Elvis song.

I love watching their reactions! There are so many songs and artists from my era that the newer generations have no idea of. It was the best of times musically. Saw so many groups in concert: Pink Floyd, Boston, Van Halen, Blue Oyster Cult, Ted Nugent, Journey, etc.
I remember clearly a group of friends talking about this song , I didn't recognize the title, all of my friends started yelling at me about it knowing it, so we went to the car and someone had it on a cassette, three notes in I was like OH, THISsong? I love this song!! I just had NO idea what the title was 😅
It kinda hurts my heart that so many do not know who Freddy Mercury is BUT, it does bring me joy that so many are just now discovering how much of a musical treasure this man was. If you liked this song then you must watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. You will gain the next level of respect
As a kid, because my mom was a fan, this was some of the first music I was introduced to. Imagine my surprise, when I couldn't find any music that was better.
Crazy how some people can be in their 20's and 30's and never heard this song, or any Queen song for that matter. I remember being 5 years old head banging to this (like in Wayne's World 2) on the way to our cottage. I guess I have my parents to thank for introducing classic rock to me at such a young age.
Well, we of a certain age . . erhem, getting on a bit . . were brought up amidst The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Status Quo, The Who and Queen - to name just a few. They are possibly distinct by their exceptionality now - apparently by the confused reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody - back then, those exceptional sounds were all over the place in a joyous celebration of Glam and Rock Opera. I suppose we have to realize how fortunate we were to have been brought up within that era. I've heard a lot of reactors saying that they wish they could have attended those concerts. Maybe, but you would now be, without being blessed with a time machine, as ancient as many of us of that time now feel. Age can ache! Don't wish your life away!
I really appreciate how much effort you put into making a genuinely really good watching experience, even extending to the description. It shows a lot of care for the music. I'll definitely check out more of your stuff.
Thanks so much, thanksomuch! 😁 In all seriousness, thank you. It's awesome to hear that people can see how much love I put into these. if you're interested in seeing the process of making them, there is a "making of" portion added to the end of more recent videos. Thanks again!

It kinda hurts my heart that so many do not know who Freddy Mercury is BUT, it does bring me joy that so many are just now discovering how much of a musical treasure this man was. If you liked this song then you must watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. You will gain the next level of respect
Which is worse ? The fact that these people have never heard Bohemian Rhapsody or that they've never seen Wayne's world ? 🤘🏻
Both 😮
None. Everybody wasn't exposed to the same things 🙄
@@kenosburn2205 right? I'm so glad I was born in the sixties. I was 16 in 1980. The BEST music came from 1975 through 1990.
Beautiful and beautifully made.
Thank you❣❣❣❣👑🎶🎶🎶🎶
Freddie Mercury had one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. All of the band had amazing talent.
As a kid, because my mom was a fan, this was some of the first music I was introduced to. Imagine my surprise, when I couldn't find any music that was better.
❤ I love watching people trip over Queen! 👸For the first time‼️
Just discovered your channel. And again, your hard, hard work is greatly appreciated. Thank you WonderMomma.
I remember this when it first appeared on TV. We were all in shock. Really.
Crazy how some people can be in their 20's and 30's and never heard this song, or any Queen song for that matter. I remember being 5 years old head banging to this (like in Wayne's World 2) on the way to our cottage. I guess I have my parents to thank for introducing classic rock to me at such a young age.
To think the record company called it trash and will never be on radio and queen left the company
Broaction. The best comment. How many transitions did they have?
Yes!
Four or five?
Yes!
This is a classic masterpiece ! You should check them out from Live Aid 85' ! xx
Awesome job. Keep up the great work. There is so much more that has to be experienced.
