Good Morning 🎉🇷🇸🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳👍
Good morning! We are missing Serbian food and especially Serbian coffee! 🇷🇸
Glad you liked our food, enjoy your stay
It was Great food! We were very full after all that food that day 😂 thank you for watching 😀
Where are yuo from?
VERY GOOD VIDEO ! BRAVOOOOOOOO
Thank you 😀
PLEASE MAKE ALSO VIDEO IN AUGUST THE BIGGEST TROMPETE FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD IN GUCA AND THAN TWO WEEKS LATER LESKOVAC ROSTILJADA THE BIGGEST GRILLFEST OF BALKAN ! THANKS
Cheers, thank you for visiting our beautiful Serbia, hopefully you had a wonderfull time.
Thank you 😀 we had an amazing time! We have a few more videos to come out about Serbia shortly 👍
You two look so cute and have amazing energy. Stay safe and healthy❤️
Thank you so much ❤️ Serbia was amazing!
Serbian food is soooo good!
It sure is! We loved it 😊
You guys completely butcher serbian it's hilarious🤣😂❤so glad you enjoyed it and had a good time❤
Ah woops 😅 we did think we were probably making a mess of the pronunciations! Thanks for watching, we loved our time in Serbia! 🇷🇸 ❤️
Welcome to Serbia, I'm glad you enjoy it. Gibanica you got is not really how gibanica should be, it is some resturant variant. Walter is actually worst and most expensive place you could go with smallest cevapi you get anywhere around here. Kajmak is literally milk fat that is collected and stacked with a little bit of salt. Ask if anything else interests you. Ziveli.
Thank you 😀 I noticed after I’d finish Walter BBQ cevapi that it never came with onions which I was disappointed with! I would have scored it less 😂 we really enjoyed Serbia! Thank you for watching 👍
Kajmak would be like Devonshire Cream I think.
try Karadjordjeva snicla
Wonderful 👍 Serbia is beautiful
Thank you! It sure is a beautiful country! We do make some videos on an equally beautiful country- Bosnia, if you fancy checking those out 👍
Љубав, брате. ❤
Hahhaa never mind guys said it "ŽIVELI "wow you guys catch up on pretty quick. Goodjob on learning Serbian abit it will come in handy
Thank you! Thank you again for your kind words! I hope you enjoy the rest of our Serbia videos - our next one comes out Sunday 👍
Great video!
Thank you 😀
Such a great food vlog! Everything looked delicious. Love your dessert "alternative" haha 🍻 cheers guys!
Thank you! We enjoyed watching your Tromso videos too! Although I bet your glad your onto warmer climates now 😂
wow
Kajmak is sour cream...nice video BTW thoroughly enjoyed it
It’s very tasty that’s for sure! Definitely had the texture of clotted cream but the taste of sour cream 👍 thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed the video! 😀
Actually Kajmak is NOT sour cream. That´s a total over simplification. Like eating pancakes and saying it´s white bread because the main (starting ingredients) is wheat flour.
Kajmak is made with total different technique than sour cream. Sour Cream you can find in almost every country with different level of taste. Kajmak is a bit harder to find because is a more complex technique to make it.
Kajmak is such a big part of Serbian food culture so in my humble opinion it´s just a no go to downgrade it to a simple sour cream....
Pavlaka is sour cream, not Kajmak.
@@stevannikolovski Exactly. 👍
@@scandmaster I better kick my parents arses. My whole life they say kajmak is translated as sour cream but noting its tastes nothing like nor the texture of western style sour cream. Oh well learnt something myself
I tried walter once and never again but on the other hand I'm from southern Serbia and they have the best grill there, the south is known for it. The first burek was made in Nis when it came to the Balkans from Asia, 100 years later it came to the rest of the Balkans the same applies with cevapi. Thanks for the video, I hope you have fun in Serbia.
Walter was good but we had better! We will make a vlog on Nis so make sure you subscribe for that one 👍 thank you
@@AshAndDan. Interesting! Nis has many good places (cafana) Kafana mrak I think is the best (must reserve) Kod Brke (Jelasnica) also in the top there are some more. I had recommended that. otherwise everything else is good. I saw a YT video from a man from Ireland or Scotland can't remember he posted some videos this winter, and it's his 8th time in Srb. The interesting thing is that an Irishman or Scot owned the land to Sv Sava and he gave it to the church for free. The street there bears the name of the the man.
Did you read that Celts were the first to build Belgrad fortres and had settlements there? just want to inform you a little if you missed it in Kalemegdan. The interesting thing is the folk dance, I watched quite a lot of lord of the dance and others from Ireland and what I want to come across is something very interesting and it is the steps in the dance, at least a little or partially. Watch this video, fast forward 2.3 minutes.

Grijeh je jesti cevape bez luka 😊
I actually noticed this watching the video back! I can’t believe they didn’t serve it with onions 😂 it tastes much better with onions! Thanks for watching 👍
Great video guys, try to visit Široka staza in zemun order smuz riba its amazing, also never forget to try sweets there
Thank you so much! If we are in Belgrade again we will definitely visit this restaurant 😀 thank you again for watching 👍
@@AshAndDan. Hope that you visit Tunisia soon, if so let me know i will help with infos
هل الجو في صربيا جميل 🤔
أعتقد ذلك 🤗
Ajvar is called 'caviar made from paprika'. :-) Kajmak is milk fat, but collected from milk in different way than butter.
Oh really? The Ajvar was very tasty and we saw it for sale in every shop we visited basically! Thank you for watching 👍
@@AshAndDan. The best ajvar is in the south of Serbia because they have top quality peppers down there, as well as special paprika and salad dishes that only exist there. (Moravska salata, ljutenica, trljanica, etc.) Must try;)
You guys should go to Banjaluka and Bjeljina at Stanišići Ethno Village
Thank you for the recommendation! Are these places in Bosnia in Srpska republica?
Republika Srpska
Pljeskavica, Pecenje (pork or lamb)
What was the dessert you didn't end up trying ? 🥺 Krofne?
Slađi je burek kad se jede rukama. I svaki zalogaj zalije jogurtom.😊😊😊
Burek is amazing- the best food in the balkans in my opinion 😀 thanks for watching 👍
جيد❤
Pored Beograda blizu u Mladenovcu MB trebate probati jagnjetinu
Serbs at home eat a lot. I would always get confused at boxes or canned foods in supermarkets saying they make 4 servings yet to me it was just 1 serving. lol
haha we feel the same way sometimes... suggested serving size is never enough 😂
Enjoy yourself in Belgrade, I usually eat burek with my fingers, and I usually take it in one piece.
.❤❤❤❤🎉
We loved Belgrade! Ha, we’ll definitely not use cutlery next time 😂
thanks for sharing your experience. Im planning to go visit Serbia. What month did you go there?
Thanks for watching! We visited in end December/January and spent New Year in Belgrade which was amazing! 😄 very cold though haha
Savčić najbolji cevapi u Beogradu,zena probati domaci stari kajmak,domace srpske sireve i kackavalje,sarmu,telecu glavu u skembetu,leskovačku muckalicu,cvarke,domace kobasice,junece repove
I'm guessing you two must be vegetarians? I'm Serbian native and when I visit Serbia I never let'em 'chop' my Burek slice - I eat it just like a slice of Pizza, it's so much more fun!
addendum: oops, I think I spoke too soon . 'Chevapi, yay!
I (Dan) am mostly veggie but do try meat dishes when abroad! Ash is more vegetarian. The Cevapi was very good ha! But must admit, the cheese burek was hard to beat! Thank you for watching 👍
May god help you if you are a vegetarian in Serbia :) If you tell anyone you are vegetarian, people would look at you compassionately and ask you if you are well, assuming it must be under doctor's orders, lol...
Haha 😂 we quickly found out Serbia loves meat 🍖 thanks for watching
Every yt vlogger goes to same restaurants .... It's a huge city dare to try new places
Haha thanks, next time we will visit and try new places 😅
Good
❤❤❤
Congrats, you pronounced one meal name correctly.
Well we tried! 😅 thanks for watching
Novi sad place called banjalucki cevapi that's where u go
Nice! Next time we will visit here 👍 thanks for watching 😀
Come to NIŠ try barbecue
Our Nis video will be out in a few weeks 👍 thank you for watching
@@AshAndDan. Kafana Mrak must:), Dagi Plus, Nišlijska mehana, kod Brke in Jelašnica (near Niš). You should also visit the city of Pirot. They have special delicacies, pirotski kačkavalj (aka Pirot chese) and ironed sausage (ironed sausage). Pirot has a superb bbq ( kafana Ladna voda) and the best pizza in Serbia and beyond (Mamma Rossa Pirot).
Yes those Womans or Girls who can make Sarma or Baklava are Wife material😉
Ha! I can see why 😂 amazing food! Thank you for watching
Very impressive now welcome to Pakistan
If you had it all in a single day, well, it was a bit over the top. For instance, I'd never have burek and gibaniza one after the other.
And, most of it is staple food to fill up your stomach, nothing refined and overly delicious.
we shared 1 dish between two people at each restaurant but agree it was a bit much and we were full by the end! The food was very good and we enjoyed walking between the restaurants/bakeries! Thank you for watching 👍
Youre supposed to eat/drink yogurt not to mix or spread it on gibanica or burek
Oh! We first had burek in Bosnia and they would often put the yoghurt on top when they served it. It must be different in Serbia! Thank you for watching 👍
Ajvar is a seasoning consisting mainly of red pepper, eggplant, salt, vegetable oil and spices. It originates from Macedonia and is mainly popular in the Balkans. Ajvar can be eaten on bread, as an addition to sandwiches, as a flavor addition......
Thank you for the better explanation than we did of Ajvar😂 it’s very tasty that’s for sure! Thank you for watching 👍
Nice try, lol! 😅 Ajvar comes traditionally from Serbia, but spread throughout the Balkan region
Who eats burek with a fork...😅
Ooops! 😂😂
Srpsku hranu je veoma dobro... Jedi jedi dok ne mozes vise hahahah
Ha! We ate as much as we could 😂 we were very full after a full days eating!
you eat all that in one day?
yes we did... big regret by the end of the day as we were suuuuper full
Trpković is not place with the best burek. They are not even in first 5.
Oh really? We really enjoyed it! Where would you suggest instead?
@@AshAndDan.Anton in Niš (old pekara). Also Rajko, Kalinka and Esnaf all in Niš. You have to go to the south of Serbia for the superb burek and other food there.
The most important thing is that you haven't tried it. "PEČENJE"
Oh we didn’t know about this, at the time of our visit we were mainly vegetarians 😅 that changed when we visited Pakistan due to the amount of meat in their food it was difficult not to eat meat! Thanks for the recommendation 👍
Burek is with meat , this is sirnica or call it pie with chese
Please, keep that for Bosnia. You can call it as you want in Bosnia, but stop bothering people with that.
pie with cheese is Pita sa sirom or Gibanica.
As I said, copy-paste, everything from the list. You will never understand what kajmak is.
We sure know that Kajmak tasted very good! Thanks for watching again 👍 maybe you will prefer our next vlog as we explore Novi Sad
@@AshAndDan. Unfortunately, you will only take away the taste of cream. I can't wait for you to enlighten me about what's in Novi Sad.
ua-cam.com/video/n7L7KZFrACc/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DanDavisHistory
That gibanica doesn't look right looks to dry its some posh take on a real thing and that's just wrong.😢
Ah we’d never had it before so didn’t know! It was tasty, maybe the more traditional one is better 👍 we will know for next time 😀
@@AshAndDan. Don't worry about it at least next time it's going to taste different (better). Im trying to remember any vegetarian friendly dishes but just can't remember, my best advice is asking if they have something that's for fasting (similar thing).
Trpković is not the oldest bakery
One of the oldest! I don’t think it’s know officially what is the oldest 👍 thank you for watching 😀
Kod nas je sve prirodno kod vas vi samo sto ne jedete gume😂
Burek is not with cheese!!! Burek is ONLY with meat!
We enjoyed it with the cheese filling! I guess you prefer the meat filling? 😂
❤❤❤❤
