Locomotion was the first "real" PC game I ever played, I'd have to guess I put in over 1,000 hours when I was younger. The music never got stale, it was always enjoyable, and I still listen to the full OST today. Thank you ♥
I regurarly find myself listening to the whole Locomotion's OST since it's such a good mix of musical styles with some of the best arrangements I've ever heard. Many, many congratulations for composing these tunes, each one is better than the other. Bravo!
Holy crud it's the real Allister, this is amazing. I loved all your works from Locomotion to the RCT series, they really made an impression on my earliest childhood gaming and these melodies bring back so many memories back in the good ol days. Hope that you still compose music, yes? If so I'd love to check them out. Do you own a twitter account or a soundcloud by chance? Keep up the great work man, really, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Cheers!
Thanks :-) Yes you can link to all my social media accounts at www.allisterbrimble.com - you'll see soundcloud on the demo section. You can also find me on Spotify & Itunes etc
Amazing, I can't believe I'm hearing something so nostalgic from my childhood in this kind of quality! That's awesome that you had the backups. The game definitely would not have been the same without such a great fitting score!
I remember playing this all the way back in Elementary school, growing up. I just turned 18 a few days ago and decided to go on a nostalgia trip, listening to some of the songs from my childhood. The soundtrack from the game was probably one of my favorite things about it-- especially the 80's and 90's tracks-- and I'm excited to see you're releasing the high quality versions of the pieces! Cheers!
maan, I put so many hours into this, I always played with my bro, going cooperation style, never using the same resource, sometimes he would put coal and iron to steel factory from afar just for me to take the steel and put it to a goods factory nearby when I was low on funds
Dude, your songs are my childhood! For locomotion I listen to them almost every day for literaly any task that needs a vibe especially modeling trains haha. Your 2000s Era songs are really a favorite of mine! My daily wake up vibe.
Wow, I really like these! When I was much younger I used to play the original two Driver games a lot with my friends. I loved the 1970's style soundtracks those two games had, they fit the theme so well I felt more like I was in a 1970's action movie playing the games than I did watching one haha. I think the Driver series lost a lot of its charm after the loss of its iconic style of music in the 3rd game and after. Anyways, today I decided to see if I could find any music on the internet that would have fit a Driver game that was set in a more 1980's themed setting and came across this video. When I realized it was even uploaded by the composer from the original Drivers, I knew I had found what I was looking for. Thank you for uploading this, and for making the original music in the Driver series. It must be an interesting feeling to know that the songs you have made for various games over time have influenced so many people and that they are still remembered so many years later :)
Thanks for taking the time to write this Ingrid :-) After I work on my game music it goes in the game and then I hear nothing more so it's great to hear that they gave some lasting memories.
Allister Brimble So you also composed the music for Driver 1??? I’m lost for words! I used to really enjoy the music for the San Francisco map. Was that recorded with actual instruments or through a software? Sincerely, you deserve the credit that you get (or should get).
Oh my god......I gave up on finding remastered versions of the music for this game 3 years ago....and....of course I find it now..and....Oh my god.....This is BEAUTIFUL! I still play this game now and i've had it since 2015, I can say i've easily clocked in over 2000 hours on this game...and you...of all people post the remastered tracks.....Thank you....also I see your still doing music on games! they sound great and honestly If i were to pursue my dreams of making video games, you will be my first choice on the music! Anywho, keep up the good work man!
My god. It's incredible. These were the songs of my childhood. Thank you for uploading in high quality! Your soundtrack really means a lot to me, even more than it did when I was a child. This was my very first PC game. I liked this game more than SimCity 2000.
I used to play this game all the time as a kid, and I still do. I listen to the soundtrack all the time too when I do homework. It's just so good! Thanks for creating the music to this awesome game and for uploading this!
Great work! You made me log in to youtube just to like your video and comment. Please upload more if you have it. Big fan and one of the major reasons I liked so much to play the RollerCoaster Tycoon series and Locomotion.
Woah, you remastered "The City Light" and "Running on Time"!? That's just amazing, both are my favorite soundtracks ( The City Light is the most one ) I have a plan to buy this game in future because my CD was broken for long time ago and I can't play in my new pc so yeah! Also, Locomotion is the first game that I played in my life and I was really addicted when I was a child. I hope that I can play it again, someday.
Synthwave stays strong with those bangers. But for real I haven't even heard of Locomotion before until I found out it's a Transport Tycoon sequel. I'm aiming to buy that game on Steam. Gonna vibe to these tracks.
Do you know anything about a song you allegedly composed for Locomotion called "Don't Lose Your Rag"? I know it's in the music acknowledgements section of the locomotion main menu, but doesn't seem to be in the data files.
Love hearing these! Would it be alright if you could upload the track "Don't Lose Your Rag?" I vaguely remember seeing it in the credits for Locomotion, but it was nowhere in the game. I'd love to hear it someday!
Man, the memories... These tracks are really good, I have Everlasting High-Rise, Get Me To Gladstone Bay and the main menu theme on my ipod, ripped from my copy of the game - something I'm wondering about that last one you might be able to tell me though - I could've sworn I'd seen the menu theme referred to somewhere as being titled "Ground Breaking" or "Groundbreakers" or something like that. Was this ever the case or did I just dream it up? Anyway, really truly great to hear these in such crisp quality, did that backup have any others on it?

Always love to find other Locomotion fans :D
Holy fuck I was not expecting to find you here.
i would never guess someone like you to play this game

Awesome to hear these in all their glory. The Locomotion soundtrack is one of my all-time favourites!

@@allisterbrimble1 Do you by any chance have the rest of the soundtrack in 44khz?
All great tracks, my favorites from the game! #2 in particular reminds me of a Howard Jones song; the feel and instrumentation. Superb work!

I played this game so many times on my mother's laptop an old compaq, put the sound on 100% and listened all those soundtracks while playing
I love this game, this brings me back to grinding out shipping lines!!! Great work on the soundtrack sir
Awesome to hear these tracks in high quality. Thank you so much!

Many thanks for these. All firmly embedded in my brain after many years of playing Locomotion. All excellent compositions.
Oh this is amazing, to hear it in such high quality. I just want you to know how much I cherish this soundtrack. It is my childhood.
thank you allister brimble

very catchy music, fit well in an 80's classic film.
These tracks are something that I really remember from the game. Please post more if you can :)

I bet a 44khz version of the main theme would sound awesome.
You mande these songs stuck on my head... Thanks!

It's usually like £1 when it's on sale on Steam. Full price it's just under £5.
Thank you, for all!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making these masterpiece of ost that marked my childhood!!!
Great job 👏

Now I have purchased Locomotion on Steam.

Do you actually have the track "Everlasting High Rise"? It sounds similar to Techno Torture aka Techno Style (RCT2)
Love hearing these! Would it be alright if you could upload the track "Don't Lose Your Rag?" I vaguely remember seeing it in the credits for Locomotion, but it was nowhere in the game. I'd love to hear it someday!

I don’t like them, I love them!
amazing what a few khz could do, isnt it?
Is it just me or are some of your locomotion and driver videos missing?
Are you also the coldcut guy?
No not me
Allister Brimble cool no worries. There was an amiga guy who made an album under the name coldcut. Couldn't remember who.
