This song fits the era of the game so perfectly. You hear this song in the 2000's when you have billions of dollars and increasing, and all vehicles are released and there's not much more to do than just sit back and watch the system you have created.
Got this at a book fair a few years after I started playing Roller Coaster Tycoon back in the 5th grade.. I'm a sophomore in college now, but over the summers I make sure to relive the memories I had with this title. I literally wasted away entire weeks during my breaks from school when I was younger on this... as well as RuneScape and Roller Coaster Tycoon. Boy do I miss those days, and I miss all my old maps that have been lost with time and newer technology.. ):
I remember when my brother came home with this game one day (back when it first came out). We immediately made a copy and put his computer next to mine and played it for 12 straight hours. We had it until about 3 years ago. Oh how I miss you awesome game.
First computer game I ever got was this WAY back in 2005 when I was only 9 years old. 10 years later, I'm 19, and I still have my copy! =D To make things even better, it's shelved next to all my original Sims expansion packs, Gamecube games, and PS2 games!
I wish I still owned my physical copy of the game! (Good thing eBay exists right?) This game, alongside RCT 1 & 2 will always hold a place in my favorite games list.
Same here, I've had my copy for what comes to 13 years, and still play it from time to time on an old XP machine. I'm sure Chris would be proud of that!
Had a dream about my future in the trucking industry and this song was playing as the timeline of events showcased itself: The year 2035 to 2040. Benny's Trucking has became the largest trucking company in Ohio with 3 locations: Columbus (headquarted) Cleveland, and Cincinnati specializing in dump trucking, flatbed, refrigeration, and intermodal containers. The company has just had its skyscraper HQ and I'm just watching it progress throughout the years and had just partnered with Caterpillar to help get back in the truck engine market to develop the first hybrid diesel truck engine. Good song to listen to
IM seriously sitting here going through Locomotion tracks AND RollerCoaster Tycoon tracks, such great music and totally reminds me of my childhood. Thanks! :-)
My brothers friend always played this game and my brother bought a copy and I ended up stealing it and spent thousands of hours expanding my business. One of the best games I've ever played. Wish i had more time to play it 😪😪
I honest-to-god don't understand why this game got crappy reviews, I mean, it is way simpler than Transport Tycoon, had a kick-butt soundtrack, and best of all, fantastic 3rd party add-ons!
Too bad it was comming out too late, the problem of this game was it came out in the middle of 3D revoluation, so nobody in the main stream give it a good view.
This game was still using late 1990s 2D graphics in the mid 2000s. At the time there was a GIGANTIC leap in graphical capability, most notably in 3D graphics. Combine that with the simplified gameplay compared to its predecessor Transport Tycoon and yeah it's no wonder the game had meh reception on release. Even nowadays I'd rather play TTD than Locomotion. They're both 2D isometric Transport Sims, but TTD just has much more content and variety in the game than this
@Aditya Choubey indeed. yes, those were the days. I used to wish they made the source code open-source so it could be a kind of OTTD. If I remember correctly, there were more advanced models (more angles of the units drawn if that makes sense). Now we are blessed with fully 3D games like TF2 and Cities:Skylines though. I play Simutrans too. Never got my head around OTTD. Most important aspect is the gameplay, thats how OTTD, minecraft etc get popular..
I bet Everlasting Highrise would be great for Sporting events like Basketball on Tip offs when the games starts or Timeouts just like NBA does or Pregames . Locomotion is a Video game .
I was 6 when I got this game (I'm 13 now) and I had no idea there was one before it. When I was 8 the game got scrached. 5 years later, I pick up a copy of it and start playing for 6 hours straight :D. Memories. Sweet Sweet Memories.
I wish 2k NBA had this kind of sound track Everlasting High rise on 2k sports that would be great unfortunately they don't have it I mean its Hip Hop anyway

Except replace your stuff every few years because reliability.
Lucask5664 I use the mod.

There's a mod? Good god, where were you when I was tearing all my hair out over the damned reliability issues?
@@PNWRailfan what mod? Pls and thanks

PoV: It's 2004/5 and you just popped the disc into your computer.
Amazing game.. I really enjoyed playing this back in 2004-05, and subsequent years.

that first time you put the disk in and then boom 0:27
I still have the CD of this game, despite the fact that it was released eleven years ago. Still a great game.

I am adding this to my 'Best OST's of Gaming' list
Who's still playing this game in 2024 for the sake of nostalgia? 🎶

Jillips Entertainment It's on steam

Locomotion, or FNaF 3?
Jillips Entertainment Can't help ya there
Bearsamoyed Dang it.
It's a tough choice.
Childhood, or the latest craze...
Jillips Entertainment Childhood, definitely.
For those of you who miss playing this game, but lost your disc or CD key... It's now available on Steam.

@@Gameprojordan Locomotion just has more personality though. I always find myself coming back to it after just playing OTTD
Ah, the memories..

Mr. Banning wait....krebs as in the war thunder krebs??

This is what we thought the year 2024 would sound like in 2004.
Here's to hoping most of the people commenting from 12 years ago are still alive and jamming to this day. ❤
In some ways, it does sound like that.
It is perfect for 1990's. These chirpy sounds remind me of some J-POP.
i just love
Literally best ost
Everlasting great game.

Fucking childhood, dude
i can't stop listing its so addictive
Haven't played this game in a while
Steam enthusiast ending: all mayor Railroads adopted steam for the 21rst Century because you proved it is cheaper to run
same here
Now this what I call real Hip hop music .
Not really. It's techno with some house influence
I think you have to be Transport Tycoon fan to appreciate how brilliant locomotion is.
Warrantti Nah, it takes no experience to realize how great this game is.
great game - great song
Everlasting new millennium
I wish 2k NBA had this kind of sound track Everlasting High rise on 2k sports that would be great unfortunately they don't have it I mean its Hip Hop anyway
Had toshrdown US from. Holding more warehouses.
It's probably nostalgia and expectations from the new one.
Meeeee meeeeee meeeeee!!! :P
