    Conor keeps proving that although you are not the tallest goalkepeer, hard work outweigh genetics such as height.

    It's incredible how you reach the same height with Max. Goes to show that the plyos help a lot.

    Can you show us how did you train when you were 15 16 and how should you train if you did mistakes so we avoid them

    • @ConorOKeefe
      @ConorOKeefe  7 місяців тому +1

      Good idea, I will maybe make a video about that. Mistakes happen to every GK - the main thing is to analyse and learn from them, then adapt your training so that you can improve those areas going forward!

    3:44 this drill would have helped me a lot with my crosses, as I'm hesitant in most cases, especially during corners and I don't know why. I can't tell whether it is me being scared of making the mistake, scared of being knocked down by the outfield players or just misjudging the flight of the ball. If I could do this drill, this would have helped me a lot with those issues.

    Great session, really awesome job.
    How do you think what you should have done at 5:06 to play that ball better? Or what would you recommend for keepers when playing vs athletic strikers?

    • @ConorOKeefe
      @ConorOKeefe  7 місяців тому +3

      Great question! If you watch the very next ball, I try to get more height on my jump, and it is a lot more effective. If the attacker can get above you, it's likely that they will knock your arms, and you can potentially drop the ball. So with those crosses where it is right on top of you, and you don't really have a run up, you need to try and get as much height on your jump as possible, brace your core ready for the impact, and be strong!

    What do you think of the Scotland vs Spain game where the goal was disallowed for has on the keeper or offside .Fifa are still to make there mind up lol .

    • @ConorOKeefe
      @ConorOKeefe  7 місяців тому

      Didn't think that it was a foul or offside to be honest! Very strange decision!

    Great session mate! Just curiously, what's the purpose of the 3, 2, 1... countdown?

    • @lasseekseth404
      @lasseekseth404 7 місяців тому +1

      Probably to get them to make a decision to stay set or change position, But it isnt really game realistic to be honest.

    • @ConorOKeefe

      Thank you mate. I think it was mainly as a way of progressing the warm up, just getting the diving technique going. It wasn't the main bulk / game application section of the session

    Hi conor I have a question when I played in 9 a side goals I was very good with my 1v1s but when I started 11 a side goals it seemed to be my weakness. I tried watching 1v1 videos but it dose not help do you have any tips.

    • @ConorOKeefe
      @ConorOKeefe  6 місяців тому

      Unfortunately mate, I think it will just take practice. The more you get used to your positioning in 11aside goals, you will find that it improves. Also working on your speed & flexibility will help!

  • @RambinoYT
    @RambinoYT 7 місяців тому +1

    Why the countdown, shouldn't they just shoot whenever you are somewhat ''ready'' feel like the counting is counter productive when it comes to game. You never know when or where opponents will shoot so better to prepare you both by having you focus on resetting and then reacting to the shots rather then them counting down. That is just my take tho, still a great session and i appreciate the video. Always fun to see fellow goalies training videos
