Thanks for this. I only play F1 so I put the brake spring on the throttle, it feels amazing now.
That's what I'm gonna do because the throttle has no feel at all.
thx.
i could have saved some time.
i was in the process of inverting my pedals and with inverting pedals i wuldnt have needed to open the clutch, now throttle.
but thx for showing me how to open and swap springs
Everything works great ! I don't use the clunch so the swap was without compromise and the feeling it's much better. I can now control more my input than before !
Awesome to hear
I was thinking about this, i dont feel so comfortable brake pedal. So it will be good for me to replace clutch or gas spring with brake spring.
Thanks for the video, I wanted a look into the unit before I broke mine open, exactly what I was looking for. You should definitely invest in a quality drill with a good clutch though.
Thanks mate. I hope it helps. Next I’ll be getting some of the aftermarket spring fillers to firm it up a bit more
@@TheEddysGarage Who makes aftermarket springs? I did a quick search and didn't see anything super obvious but maybe I mis understood the descriptions
@@wekphoto I just swapped the springs around. They are different stiffnesses
@@TheEddysGarage right but in your previous comment you mentioned stiffer springs from a 3rd party and I was curious to who you meant?
@@wekphoto lots of springs and spring fillers on eBay but I haven’t tried them yet
About to do mine right now thanks!
Your video helped me get through the whole process 🙏 my pedals feel like a real car with just the springs
What brand of aftermarket plates are those?
@@matthews2628 Those pedal plates are the stock plates that come with the T300RS GT bundle (it was made for Gran Turismo Sport)
@@razmann4k that's weird mine are 100% different
@Razor Man
Are you sure yours is the GT version?
Did you grease the springs, and pivot points? I think I need to cause really squeaky.
I didn’t but a little lithium grease will work fine. A little goes a long way so don’t overdo it
Hi there. May I know if you need to remove the bottom casing to install the conical brake mod?
It makes it easier and you should sway the springs around anyway
for only installing you dont need to open the pedals.
you put it in from above and the scree comes in from the bottom
Is it possible to swap clutch pedal with brake? I don't really use clutch and would like the brake as wider as possible
That’s above my level of expertise sorry
I'm guessing you're talking springs? You can change the spring over to whatever you feel is best for you. They all fit.
Pls help me my clutch do not going to 100% its going to 50% what can i do?
Check your connections
I did this and my break and clutch stop working can u tell me why??
not sure but check your wires and connections.
I did this and my brake pedal won't go past 30% now. Electronics are touchy and something got screwed up while it was apart. Be prepared to take that risk I guess
That’s odd. Is something keeping the pedal from moving all the way? Is a wire jammed?
Just go to a spring manufacturer, get proper compression springs with the reistence that you require . For pennies
I tried this ( thanks for not showing how hard iit is to put in the break buffer, my breaks stopped working after I did this. Total thumbs down, bummer you shoiwed how to switched springs but left out the hardest part/!!!!!
I didn’t show it because it wasn’t an issue. Was the bolt cross threaded? My friends was all rough from factory and we had to retap the hole.
If that break buffer bar gave you problems, then maybe you shouldn't have been opening it up in the first place...
You could have mentioned that the calibration of the pedal will also get all fucked after doing this and that there is no way to re-calibrate them. I have to switch back now...
I have had no problem and didn't have to recalibrate anything. I just swapped the springs and went back to gaming.
Well of course the calibration is going to be a bit off. You've just changed the resistance under each pedal.
@@HxR-eSports mine worked fine and didn’t need anything
@@TheEddysGarage Neither did mine. I was just giving Andy a possible reason as to why he might need to recalibrate the pedals in certain games. 🙂
Pretty sure that was all for nothing. And people are breaking their pedals over this.
The pedals are designed to also be used inverted. Hang down from a rig. That means your clutch becomes your gas and visa versa. So the springs are the same.
If you ever see a T300 and that little red light on it is shining green instead. That means the wheel is in inverted mode. Gas becomes clutch, clutch becomes gas. So pretty sure the springs are the exact same. Only differance can be is that you wore out the gas spring more then the clutch.
so bad idea
Lots of people have liked it but I guess it isn’t for you
