OK so here is my review! Have had my t500rs for 2 days. First wheel I pretty much ever used but I played GT and Forza series quite a lot with sticks. Been playing since GT2 and the first Forza. And WOW. Just WOW. OHHH how I wished I would have bought this years ago!!! But immediately I could tell I did not like the brakes and the spring distance measuring bs because JUST as he says in the video it is NOT like a car at all. Lucky for me I had ordered this mod and it was waiting, ready to go in after about 30 minutes of stock pedal use LOL. First impressions where worrisome at first because it felt so damn hard but almost immediately I became used to it and man it completely filled the void of immersion that the stock brakes where giving me. Now after a day it is just sublime. Push too hard and it locks up exactly like it would in real life! I cannot get enough of just doing time attacks on Assetto Corsa. I find myself just repeating over and over the same car and same track just because I want to master ever corner a bit better!!! Nothing will get your adrenaline pumped while sitting on your ass, not moving like a proper sim setup. I am sold!
Great review. Just one thing about the video, the volume level really dropped off at the end, might want to look into that. Keep up the great work Shaun!
Great video...never heard of this mod before, so it was definitely something to know! On a side note, why do guys insist on doing what ISR does...by putting your Channel Name (The Simpit) in the TITLE of your Video? When it says/references the channel name (The Simpit) right under the title? That's wasted space that can be better used for video optimization...IMHO!
Hmm I'm kinda used to the standard T500 pedals now, would 'relearning' this take ages? My main gripe with the T500 is the fan on the wheel base being soooo damn noisy!
not really, the csr elite pedals can be used as a standalone device, it has a much better loadcell that's adjustable and has longer travel and is cheaper too. This load cell kit is just a complete rip off
jamie 711711 especially since once you’ve spent the whatever on it, you’ve got to pay import taxes on it in the UK because it’s of a value where border control has to open it up to make sure it’s not illegal diamonds or some shit. The load cell itself is probably only worth a couple of quid.
Dear customers, Thrustmaster is trying to get away from their responsibilities about their products even thought the warranty is still valid. On september 2014 i bought a T500 RS and four months later it stopped working properly. Not only the company didn't solve the problem but also insist on telling me i should contact my retailer, who merely sells the product, made in China and sold in Brazil, and has no responsibility for any problems it may present. Considering there is no technical assistance in Brazil, the company should replace the damaged product for a new one, which they refuse to do even after many emails sent .
Lol, what an overprice piece of kit. Seriously? t3pa-pro costs 150$.. then 100$ for this mod? with this few parts in a nylon bag? wow, one has to be stupid to buy into that.. for that kind of money you can get Fanatec V3 pedals.
+HardwareAddiction Enjoy the warranty repairs you'll be doing for the next 2 years. Fanatec pedals may be nice, but they break, and break again, and again. I had T500rs pedals for 5 years. The only thing that wore out was the springs, and that was after 4 years. lol. just sayin. Csr elites are complete junk. the load cell foam is a joke. I've used em. stear clear. clubsports are nice and feel fantastic, but you take a much bigger risk with reliability. Ask anyone that's owned them.
+James High I mentioned the Fanatec V3, so I referred the Club Sport obviously. The V3s are far better than TM's potentiometerized junk. I highly doubt it will show reliability issues.
I had the pleasure of trying out v3's just the other day and I was very impressed. I had a set of protosimtech pt1's until recently so going back to Thrustmaster pedals isn't likely unless I got a load cell mod, so I'm torn between the company I trust most and the nicer design from a company I've had major issues with. Lol. I'll probly just get another set of pt1 pedals when available, or buy em back from my friend.
+James High I reckon the first option is more expensive. I'd go with the v3s (mine are on the way). Or, you can wait some months and see whether users come up with deal-breaking issues. I'd also try to check Fana's technical support forum, although it may only be available to customers.

awesome !! been waiting for this, good work.
Can the load cell kit be used for normal T3PA, the one from T300 alcantara/GT edition?
I only just got into iRacing... I can see myself going poor from sheer fun...
For that price, might as well get a Fanatec pedal set
That's another 100 dollars not including shipping... there only 160 bucks now. I have done the mod and it makes a world of difference.
Hi shaun, could we see a comparison review between CSR and T500 Wheels, thanks.
Shaun, do you always wear shoes when you race? I find they give a lot less feel.
Great review Shaun!

So true. How expensive can it be for Thrustmaster to put different fans in. That's why i returned mine. Hoping it'll be different with the T300...
Many mods out there to swap fans...
ap2pat You'll lose your warranty tho.
The TX and I guess the 300 as the base looks the same, apparently are pretty silent.
I own the T300 now and it is pretty sillent indeed.
Are these Compatible with the Thrustmaster 458 Italia Xbox 360 wheel? Not the TMX version with the silver insert but the black insert?
I wish there was just a little bit more travel. I'm curious about any other kind of material to use instead of the yellow bushing to make it lighter.
Gotta love this background reggae music.
Thanks, super usefull information
What about for the T3PA is it worth it ???
Getting one of these this week for $100. Feels like a much better price.
Have you bought it? Do you also experience a pretty significant deadzone? Or did I not install it correctly?
i got the cls fanatec lc at the moment i want to upgrade to inverted this option looks good too way cheaper than fanatec inverted
is there a way to make this work with standalone t3pas?
Thanks!
Shaun, how does this Ricmotech mod compare to Bodin? Thanks.
I answered this question at the website.
www.thesimpit.com/en/news/comments/Ricmotech-Load-Cell-Mod-For-The-T500RS-Pedalset-by-The-Simpit
if these go 190 dollars, why not just get the fanatec csr elite pedals instead, its not like you cant reverse mount them either
are there any cheaper load cells?
ok, is a fanatec elite paddels cheaper ?
Not if you already have the T500rs.
it is, if including shipping
Do they have a load cell for PS4 T500 setup?
yes
How Works with xbox one?
Just found one of those load cells in some second hand t3pa pro pedals i found lmao
$190? I'll just buy CSR Elites...
JetlinerX if you don't have the thrustmaster wheel, then good idea.

hey can any1 tell me how to make it
Fanatec csl elite is really bad pedals I had them and they snapped from moderate use and the customer service was really shocking

Paulo Ricardo Hi Paulo, same thing happened with me! They only know to sell in Brazil. Its a shame.
