- Our first work will be dropping a boxcar at Meridiom Manufacturing. With our train in the Freight siding I proceed with with getting our pickup card from the town box. While another freight enters town. Our pickup is behind a couple other cars that will have to be spotted back where they were. We allow passenger train 103 past before we start our work as we will shove back for room to do our work. As we are switching the other freight passenger on the main track.
This was filmed during the May 2024 meet at the White Creek Railroad near Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Currently the railroad hosts three multiple day operating sessions a year. Each car has a Card with a waybill showing where to deliver. Once at a town this Card is placed in a box near the water tower and the front Card is picked out. This will be the car that is returned to Hidden Valley Yard. The yard will turn the waybill for the cars next trip.
Most boys go through a train phase, these boys never left it.
Big boy toys.
Amen!!!
Dude's being dudes. This is awesome!
It is a great time.
Super. That Geep in the CB&Q Blackbird scheme looked nice, and the "Tonka" flatcar loads made me smile, great rolling stock, neat layout, a nice area, but that Pennsy steamer was superb. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
The Pennsy is a Godshal H10. They are great engines. Thanks for watching
Is that Mike Mitzel running the CB & Q geep? If it is I've got my 👁on him!!!
Yes it is.
I would love to see more large scale clubs do ops sessions and switching
The typical track where trains are run around a loop in the same direction limits options.
The guy that was running the faltcar with the remote, how does that work?
The Caboose is powered.
@@steamlogger is there a video on how he made it?
Why can’t they just push the car?
During these Opps sessions, the railroad owner prefers us to not use hands to move the cars.
I get it. I wouldn’t either now that I think about it
