Roja was too one of the best by Rahman. How can you forget Ghajini, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Jodha Akbar, Ranjhaa, and Rockstar (rated as one of the best albums of 2000's).

Dil se was such an awesome movie. Those were the days of natural acting, great story line and acting. Nothing over the top. Anime are enough for that but sadly movies are too commercial now Miss the good old times

What will be the top 5 movies of Anil Kapoor? He's also done some good comedy movies in later stages of his career. For Salman khan, 'Ready' was one of the very few movies of his that I liked.

The cocaine story was sarcasm by an Indian minister in response to Trudeau's baseless allegations.He said I coukd also say that Trudeau's plabe was delayed because it had cocaibe. The pount he was trying to make is that anyone can make a baseless allegation. If no supporting evidence is provided, allegation should be ignored. Sadly many regional channels missed the sarcasm.and took it as a real story.
Bhai, ask him what went wrong with mangobaaz, what exactly led to the downfall, a case study, the story and origin of it. Not saying its the greatest platform ever, but it had its day and was the first of its kind.
It would be extremely interesting to see, how it all came to be and why and how it unraveled.
This reminded me of the old days of tpe for some reason

I loved this podcast. Don't know why Yasir was hesitant about it. Humour is very raw how it should be. And the discussion about Bollywood is quite interesting. Please do an episode solely discussing Bollywood. Not a hard-to-grasp discussion. Just fun and light conversation about different movies, good movies and bad movies, music production, directors and their work. I'd love to listen to that too.

Loved this podcast, especially because you guys talked about my fav movie of all time, Dil se.. I have been watching it on and off since 1998 but 51:28 this analogy was recently explored my some fans and it makes so much sense. Its the magic of Mani Ratnam as well. He is an exceptional storyteller. As usual, you didnt talk about Manisha Koirala's performance in detail and didnt allow Yaser to discuss that too, which is upsetting.. lol.. I am obsessed with her performance in Dil se.. I havent seen anything like that on screen and how beautiful she looked. Recently, Sabeena farooq's character and acting in Kabli Pulao kind of made me feel the same way. I wish you could do a podcast on good pakistani dramas over the years, not just 80s iconic ones but I dont think you have a lot of info about them :)

Ghayal and Damini predate Andaz Apna Apna. Most of Santoshi's films were serious. He did try to make one light hearted years later which had some references to AAA- Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani.

Shehzaad, Dil se was obviously about Naxalites and Maoist movements in Northeast more than the romance.
It beautifully sends a message that in a fight between who control who's the difference between a criminal and a victim blurs out. We all know that Manisha was going to kill a mass population as a revenge to what happened to her family (rape/torture/murder) when she was young by the military. But the fact that even though she was that innocent girl with deep scar, Shahrukh still goes to stop her from conducting a suicide blast. For SRK , Nation comes first even above his own life.
In the end, the movie also shows how a case of inquiry is started to find out the crimes commited by Police/Military during the Naxal/Maoist insurgency. But it doesn't mean that Manisha's group was no lessor than a terrorist org, they were still very harmful for the nation. As an ordinary citizens, It highlights a need for a softer approach to these radical groups which can stop the sufferings much more effectively without demonizing the Nation.

Its not a commentary/opinion on Bollywood, its on 3 khans. They could talk about many path breaking movies that came out, Satya comes to mind. May be in Pakistan, khans are what is representation of Bollywood. SRK is a good entertainer, but just a very average actor.
