Wow! I have owned the house for 5 years and never knew there was a light bulb inside. I had always used a flashlight and thought how ridiculous. Thanks for the great informative video.
Thanks for posting. I have the LMV 1773SS. The light just went today. I looked at the owners manual online but it was unclear with the drawings. Thanks to you , you’ve made the job a lot easier.
Thanks... Finally...I thought I was going crazy!!! I knew there was a light in there somewhere!!! All of a sudden...I could not see my food heating up.... Worked perfectly for me. Fantastic video!
Thank you for taking the time to show us how to replace the light bulb. Ours just died and your video has helped me understand how to replace the bulb! I appreciate it!
I'm taking my Panasonic back. We just got it new, but the light is in the side and shines in my face. Bright lights give me migraines and LED lights are way too bright. Also, the panel numbers on our old one lit up. I have to use a flashlight to see them on the new one. I know you're not talking about that brand, but your video and my son are helping me consider an LG microwave. I like how the light shines from the top. I also like how the bulb you used looks incandescent-like...which I love! I think the warmer lighting makes the food look much better and it's easier to tell if it's done...just my opinion. Thanks... good explanation! (P.S. I didn't realize I was on my husband's account.)
Perfect project for my husband and I to work on! You made it easy! We just bought a house and needed to replace two bulbs and had already removed the fan cover looking for the other bulb. Great video and kept it brief too! We turned off the electrical first cuz I would be the one to electrocute herself. 😵
What a great video.. Thanks dude.. Just got a brand new lg microwave... Sweet ass microwave with a extremely dim pointless halogen bulb inside it so I am using this video to take that bulb out and swap it out with a brighter LED bulb
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. Also loved the fact that you aren't afraid of getting electrocuted. Why take 2 extra seconds to unplug the microwave when you can do it while plugged in. Thanks man!
Please help me find where to change my light bulb. It is a countertop not a built in. The light I'd on the right side as you open the door. There is a screen where you see the light. But nothing to unscrew but there is a plate further down. Is that what you take off? Please mine is a LG.
i have the Samsung not the LG but the process was the same. Thanks cause for the life of me I was like "where is that bulb"? I couldnt even remember what area lit up inside...they sure do not make it easy
I have a 3 in 1 LG Solardome microwave oven S/N 209 KMUZ 1M014, 81468- 2091M014- 281X0460. There are no screws at the top at all. How do I change the lightbulb?
It's dangerous that you are dismantling the microwave with the power still connected. I noticed the faulty bulb flashing and when you screwed in the replacement it immediately turned on. Some people may not realise that the appliance must be switched off and could get electrocuted.
I got GE profile over the range microwave, I want to replace the bulbs that are at the bottom and provide lighting on the stovetop. It says 120v 40w for incandescent or 120v 20w for halogen. Is there a bulb number or model or those info are good enough? (looking for 5000k bulbs as I like those white lights)
My light bulb in my microwave keeps flashing and going out.. Food doesn't heat up once it goes out, then it will come back on and off.... What could it be... Time to buy a new one?
Or... you could've figured it out on your own rather than being critical of a guy who did something pretty selfless by making this video in the first place. The world is ugly enough as it is. Don't add to it.

I didn't either until he just us.i looked never saw no bulb.but now I do.have a great day

Thank you for posting this! I wouldn’t have thought to look for the access panel from the top.
Thanks for this…it worked and I was able to finally replace the light 😎

Awesome job Jake. Thanks!
Thanks! Never knew where bulb was located!
Great Video! It works the same way on my Samsung over the counter microwave.
+Thomas Auto ---> excellent! I'm glad it worked out. They don't make it obvious with that bulb... thanks for watching..!
Thank you, Jake
This video is really helpful and thank you for sharing.
Thanks you for sharing.
Your video was perfect.
Thank you now I know how to change the bulb
Thank you so much; I was lost!
Is my problem replacement of bulb or circuit breaker,? Thank You
very helpful, thanks for posting.
How do I replace the night light bulb on the microwave oven of the stove? Thank You
Great video. Thanks for posting this!
It’s a good idea to shut off the breaker first, or while you are putting your new bulb in, it can arc and burn out your brand new bulb
Thanks-easy to understand.
Great instructions, easy to understand
Can't believe you did that without disconnecting power.
I agree.
Electronics 101.
When working on mains equipment isolate power
Ikr
Agreed. Need to add this as a thing over the top of the video. Some idiot is going to touch a live socket.

I'm was wondering if it'll be safe to use a over 40 watt light bulb to make it a little brighter inside?
Thanks, big help.
Thanks so much!!
He should of turned off the microwave first before opening it safety always number one 😏👍.
Would this be the same for the SMH1622S model?

Nope! There’s no screws above my Samsung.
I lost my hand doing it, electric bomb blew it off. Thanks
nice thanks
Disconnect the power first
Can you replace the internal light with an led?
I'm sure they make an LED. You just gotta find it.
Yes, they make Heat Tolerant Warm & Cool LED bulbs to be installed within the microwave oven.
Loool the guy didn’t disconnect the ps
Turn off the power supply first !!!
Thank you. A Ferrari for you...😎...on my channel.
Number 1 rule when working on an electrical anything...turn off the power...Geez
I did something very similar, new plans from Avasva helped me with this.
Unplug the microwave when you do that common sense
This could have been 5 seconds long.
