Excellent video. I thought the little panel inside the oven led to the bulb. Unfortunately, that led nowhere. I had been scratching my head on what to do when my UA-cam search led me here. Very explanatory and straight to the point. Thanks!
Thank you. The panel on the inside was where I started too. They could have made it easier.
Thank you for a great video clip, I had all but ordered the wrong type of bulb.
Very useful. Thanks
That's awesome thanks...
Thank you.
Nice job 👍
Sir just today i change my microwave buld, your video was very helpful. Thanks 🙏 again sir
Thanks buddy
my bulb looks the same but it won't come out of that white plastic/metal sheet case that you pulled it out of so easily. I removed the pins that hold it place. The bulb moves freely now but it won't come out of the hole. I dunno how they put it in or how the hole got smaller. I can't see any signs of melting or distortion due to heat.
I can not imagine why that would be, I wish I could help.
@@DevelopIT Hi Swagat, I had a similar 2 White Stick to hold the Bulb in my Samsung Microwave Oven, try to squeeze the white stick one by one to release it from the hold, it is Split in the bottom, Once you Squeeze it it gets thin, allowing you to pull out the L pin Bulb easily. Hope it helps you
Hi. I have a similar one. The light is very poor. You can't see inside. Is it possible to change it with a led bulb in 4 Watts? It will have more light and economy. Will the led lamp last? The type of the bulb is e 14?
Hi there i have also recently bought one of these recently the model MS23K3515AS and find the light very dim and wonder iff it can be changed. The problem is they dont for obvious reasons have them plugged in at the shop so could not see the light but its way too dim.
@@sajidkhanmahmood yes, I changed it with a e14 5watt led lamp and everything works great. I also changed the base for the lamp because the old was fixed with the lamp. I have the same lamp 1 year and the light inside the oven is satisfying.
@@nick1080p Hi thanks for the sharp reply is it complicated and is yours the same model as the one i mentioned. How much more light are you getting is it considerably more light and worth doing.
@@sajidkhanmahmood yes it worth it. The oven has black ceramic inside that's why the simple lamp that is 20 Watts doesn't have light. A 5 Watts led is 50 Watts if it was old type.
Can we fit LED?
I don't know if that is possible. It would be a harsh environment and the materials may not be appropriate.
Replacement was easy, but the lamp now keeps burning even when the microwave is shut off. Is that fixable? What went wrong?
I think it lights when oven is in operation or the door is open. Is the door switch misaligned or broken? I've not had to look at the door switch before so I don't know where it is located.
Failed to mention the danger regarding the capacitor still holding a powerful electric charge even when the oven is unplugged. To be safe it needs to be drained before you do anything on the inside of the oven.
You must have missed @00:46 where I specified not to go near the capacitor because of a potential residual high voltage charge. The capacitor is recessed bottom right the bulb is top left, so there is no need to go anywhere near the capacitor. I strongly advise not to do what this person has suggested as before the back is taken off the appliance must be unplugged from the mains, so it is no longer earthed, attempting to drain the capacitor would risk bridging the capacitor with part of the metal work which would be very dangerous.
@@DevelopIT Hey. Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful indeed. greegan must be an electrical engineer grieved by the fact that you, my friend, have given people the opportunity to fix this themselves. I for one have been a victim of my local service centre. They tried to charge me an extortionate amount of money to fix my microwave last year. I kid you not.. What they wanted was more than the microwave cost me. That wasn't for a bulb, some circuit board. Lesson learnt, was never to entertain these people again as they are rip-off merchants. £5 for a bulb though, wow. Thanks.
Where u got this bulb because I am unable to find it
I usually get parts for my appliances from www.espares.co.uk
I have changed the bulb still not working
I can't believe I have to do all of this in my Kenmore microwave. In my old one I just opened the door and replaced the bulb from the side. The bulb blew in my Kenmore about 1-2 months after I first bought it without much use. Its been about 3 years now and I still haven't replaced the bulb.
I would think it's a common thing to replace, I agree, I don't know why they didn't design it a bit easier.
