I don't have any fingerprints on my touchscreen...mostly because I practice good hygiene and keep my hands clean.
Why not buy a normal van with sliding doors so when you open them nothing will be in your way

Super crew with 4 full doors is the only way to go, unless the back seat gets rarely used. If you drag the kids around daily then you know what I'm saying!

Tell your wife it's a truck not a Prius.
1. Don't park so close
2. Your truck is dirty AF
3. Get it fixed or just open the door and pull in on the top
4. See where the 4 wd knob says pull? That's a limited Slip differential, you don't need 4wd in the rain for crying out loud. Teach her how to drive in inclement weather.
5. Tell her to put on her makeup before she leaves the house, nobody need lighted vanity mirrors.

The AWD Ram 1500 with air suspension is incredibly stable in the wet. It's miles ahead when it comes to driving dynamics.
I guess I still havn't figured our why a person who doesn't need a truck, buys one. But the market says there's lots of buyers out there.
A truck has so much utility in comparison to any other vehicle. For instance, my friends with a fucking Fiats and camries pay me to haul crap for them all the time. When I move, I buy a trailer and don't have to fill it up or wait for a gigantic deposit to be back in my bank account, also if I DO impulse buy something huge I don't have to make 2 other stops to rent a truck from local hardware store, and again fill it up and bring it back. Found a truck load of pavers on craigslist the other day , for FREE! And just went and got them. So while someone may not need a truck for work, they're more useful than a fucking mini cooper. Gas is a bit pricey though.

well if you own a home, there are often times you need to haul furniture or large appliances, if youre into camping or almost any outdoor activity, if you take road trips. there are lots of reasons to own a truck. people have asked me that question before because i live in a big city "Why do you NEED such a big truck?" well why does anyone NEED anything? ive spend plenty of time in tiny ass sports cars, mid sized sedans, and now i have a full size truck. i used to have to rent a uhaul or find someone with a truck to help me when i had to move big items and it was a pain in the ass. I also dont feel the need to race around anymore so a big, comfy full size fits my needs perfectly. My daily commute is like 15 miles round trip so gas consumption is not a factor either.

Here in Kuwait , I own a 2015 Ford F-150 Supercab exactly like yours & I love everything about it.
You can't complain about things that your truck doesn't have and other options do when you bought the truck. Unless this is a company truck or something there really isn't anyone to blame but yourself

Rear vents are a luxury you get your standard front vents that have definitely enough power to vent the whole truck cab

I don't own a truck, but my son has a 2015 F-150 extra cab which I have used on occasion. While the suicide back door can be a pain in certain situations, he and I actually prefer it over the Chevy and Dodge extended cabs which have 4 conventional (albeit smaller) rear doors because it is much easier to load oversize items into the back seat or load the kids in car seats. We both like the openness that you don't get with a post in the middle of the opening. Also, a suggestion, my Ford salesman is a personal friend of mine. He was trying to sell an F-150 to some customers and when they took it out on the road, they started to hear a flapping noise like what you are hearing. The dealership tried adjusting the door and monkeying with the weather strip. Turns out, the noise was coming from a loose piece of trim around the windshield. It was something that was not visible on inspection but at speed, the wind would get under it and it would start flapping. It was strange because my friend said it sounded like it was coming from the door area. Just a thought....

On issue #3, make sure that the rear door is closed well. One of the rear door latches may not be catching (pull on the top and bottom when it is closed to see if the door moves any). If the rear door is not fully secured, the front door can wiggle or gap open while driving.

Phillip Nelson those are not exactly small issues. A truck like that should come standard with lights on visors and the touch screen looks dusty and dirty after a couple of touches. The door was also rattling significantly for a 2015 model no matter what trim package.

to me the lariat trim level is the best one for me.

I agree... Mostly! I have a 16 lariat, and have exactly none of the listed problems. But, I believe some of the features can be had better, for cheaper. My brother has the xtr. Added aftermarket leather seats for far cheaper than stock, and MUCH nicer quality than my saggy stock lariat seats. Also, if he decides to add a cheap aftermarket sub and amp, I feel his stereo would blow my stock 8" Sony out of the water for a fraction of the cost. Oh well, maybe I'll get it right next truck!

Some of these problems that you mentioned are things my stepdad has to go through with his 2014 Ford F-150 Supercab. These trucks are big pickup trucks and take some skill to get through the obstacles that you deal with everyday.
1-3 ok well easy stuff to fix
4. Learn to drive. All pick ups are like that. If you slam on the gas it will fish tail. It's control and not the fault of the truck. Like I always say "it's not the equipment, it's the user"
5. Well suck it up butter cup. Be happy it has a mirror. And your not suppose to be doing your make-up anyways while your driving.
5 Things I don't like about my 2016 F-150 (most of these are nitpicks, you've been warned).
1. I bought a 502A to get the LED Head and Tail Lamps, why are the fog lights halogen? On the Super Duty all the lights are LED.
2. You can't power fold the mirrors in with the truck turned off. You could on the previous gen F-150.
3. You can't run the fog lamps without the headlights or parking lamps on.
4. You have to slam the doors or they don't shut.
5. The Sony sound system honestly isn't very good.
I still love this truck though.

Supa Doopa, number 4 on your list, appeals to my dad's 2016 Ford Transit Connect XLT work van. The right rear barn door has to be slammed shut to be considered closed, otherwise the lights stay on.
Tight door seals = quiet cabin.
You could get a fingerprint resistant glare blocking screen protector, I did for my aftermarket Kenwood, its great helps with washout and dust too! I notice a full tank of gas helps keep the rear wheels in place too but my F150 is a lot older as well!!
The suicide door used to drive me crazy on my old F150, your demo made me laugh and cringe at the same time. Now I have the super crew and love the four doors. Last but not least, my last truck was a regular F150, now I have the FX4. I never fish tailed in my old truck but the FX4 does it all the time. My son also changed to an FX4 and noticed the same thing. It's the rear differential that is causing that. Don't know why it has to be like that but it does create problems sometimes when pulling out into traffic. Thanks for the video and great sarcasm added in.
1. Should've gotten a crewcab from the beginning if you needed so much access to the back of the truck.
2. Wash your hands, all touch screens have fingerprints, clean it up.
3. Trucks are noisy, you should hear other brands.

I love my extended cab and the only one that gets annoying is the door noise, but it's no big deal.

#4 is more of a driver error. I have the 2.7L 2WD Screw XLT Sport, and don't fish tail/spin all the time when passing someone, driving on the on ramp, or any WOT situation for that matter. Hell I have AUTOCROSSED mine, TWICE (8 runs each). It may get slippery on launch in wet conditions, but hey, it is a truck with turbos. It is more of throttle control that is needed, and not entirely the truck's fault.
His wife doesn't need an 8' bed to haul an end table back from the antique store.

- you should be able to update the software of your vehicle infotainment system which sorts out these lagging interfaces.
- maybe your door is not fixed properly so it keeps moving a bit so the noise is apparent? Have you tried checking if it is fixed properly?
- maybe change your tires to grippier ones?
You are exactly right about that fishtailing business. Even a damp road seems to cause that. I gotta say though, I love my F150. It pulls the heck out of my trailer for work so I can't complain too much.
I was a diehard Ford guy, drove F150 all my life until they made their trucks out of aluminum and powered by a turbocharged minivan engine. I use my truck for truck things so i would have these new ones beat to shit in no time, not everyone hauls groceries and wants a motor that will shit the bed before 200,000. Im in a GM now and appreciate a strong V8 and good economy with a steel truck and big motor. Ford needs to learn how to make engines, not underbuilt trucks.

Because Diesels become drama queens in winter time. Gotta plug her in. Gotta dump anti-gel in the fuel. Gotta pay more for basic maintenance. If it's in all warm weather, diesel is the way to go. When the temperature drops to 10F or lower, most any gas motor will still be good to go pretty much untreated, but certainly any gas motor in a truck. As for fuel economy, once the truck is paid off, the gas is free anyway.
Echo Sniping I own 3 diesels and a 250 gas as work vehicles. I have always owned a 1500 as a personal/weekend truck. After driving diesels 5 days a week, NEVER could you convince me to live with one over a 150. Night and day better milage, better ride, cheaper maintenance etc. todays diesel all have SCR systems that do nothing but fail and put your truck on the hook. Untill they design a regen system that actually works, i wont be buying any new diesels for work. My newest is a 2010.also Fords super duty is now Aluminum too so ill stay away from Ford untill they remove their head from their ass.
sheldon blankenship My truck makes 420hp from the factory. The ecoboost makes 385. With the mods i have done it is making 450hp roughly. The base engine of the ecoboost is a SOHC 3.5L V6 boosted at 14psi to make 385hp. Without the turbos it is a generic V6 similar to what you would find in a Ford Windstar and would make about 190hp. My idea of a reliable engine is not a small motor boosted to considerably high levels and required to work harder to do the same work an NA V8 could.
Ford does offer a 302 V8 now on the 2016 F-150. Even with the smaller turbo charged motor my buddie still has no issue towing a Car Trailer and skidsteer to Jobs
Hey about the wheel spin problem I'm not sure if your running the factory tires that came with the truck but they are garbage. I had the same issue, skidding in the rain and horrible traction. Replaced the tires, and never had wheel slip again unless it was I purposely really stepped on it.
The main problem really has to do with the factory tires. I put a set of BFG All Terrain KO2s on my work rig and that fixed the problem. Prior to that, if I knew I'd be in a situation where the wheels might slip a bit, I'd lock the rear differential. Worked great for me, as I was generally taking off in a straight line when this kind of wheel spin would occur.
How are you super cab doors for closing? We had some 2017 super cab F350s you had to almost slam the doors shut to get the interior lights to go out.
I had a similar noise and found that it was the side step that was just a bit loose.
Tightening the bolts took care of the vibration noise.
you forgot to mention when you open the doors, the seat belt chokes you, hate that glad i dont have a supercab anymore!

interesting, however I have a 15 my dad has a 16 and the only problem that he mentioned that i have is the fingerprints on the sync screen but you just wipe it off or upgrade to sync 3

Does your truck have the 5.0 in it? Mine does it's the 2014 4 wheel drive super crew and what I hate about it is the long doors in the front they are like a dam gate when you open them, you have to watch out to not let them hit other peoples rides when you park beside them.

1. Its a 1/2 ton so "big truck" is a stretch
2. The screen does get dirty quick and shows very blatantly
3. Its almost brand new.. There shouldn't have to be a trip to the shop for rattling doors

I got the supercab because I wanted the 8ft box.
Check out the door striker plate. My G8 had same issue with door rattle when I bought it new. Replaced it with sleeveless striker plate (solid metal) and no more rattle. Might be issue exclusive to extended cab model due to suicide doors.
Hey there, what drives me mental about my F150 is the wiper system. When you do a quick spray of the windshield and run the wipers for 3or 4 cycles, there is a pause and the wipers automatically do a final sweep. I find that the windshield was clean after the few cycles but that final delayed sweep just makes it smudged and in need of another cleaning. My F150 is a 2009, so maybe on the newer models this has been rectified.
Next time U buy a truck buy a damn Carwash Gift card.

George GMC Sierra Denali not for or against the other but i just had a 2016 silverado 5.3 come in the shop for subs and amp and when we were running power to the battery the headers were rusty and cracked. everything else was new,clean,and shiny. thought that was kind of shitty as the truck had just under only 3000 miles

I don't understand why you're being downvoted so much. All these things seem like completely reasonable things to be annoyed by in a vehicle that costs this much. None of them are particularly deal breaking but still annoying.
I'd be fucking pissed if my brand new truck was already rattling like a decade old car. As far as the vanity lights, while not essential in any way, are still a nice touch to have. Hell my old 2002 civic had them! I can't imagine a truck costing anywhere from 7-30k more wouldn't.
Even the suicide door thing, once again while not deal breaking I can still see how big of an annoyance that would be.
That's how it is sometimes.. people don't like you to voice your opinion even on something that is YOURS -but have no problem voicing THEIR opinion.. ;) It's all good though.. it's just a UA-cam video, people need to calm down haha

Its a problem most supercabs have its because its a door latching on to a door it has to move to some degree it cant be 100% ridgid it's not loose hinge bolts. I know from personal experience with my own f-250

Regardless of trim level, you cannot get 4A if you have the snow plow prep option. I have a lariat and found that out the hard way. Apparently plowing in 4A could cause major problems so they don't even give you the option. The other thing that annoys me is the difficulty lowering the center bench seat. The button to release it is very difficult to access, especially when trying to do it when seated.
Hi, im having a 2017 ford escape titanium and can not start it wth the remote fob starter. is there anything that im not doing rigt. wht i do is to make sure all the doors are shut . i futher locked it with the fob and double tap the top button but does not work. could you possibly help me to activate it or do the right thing if im not on top of it. thanks so much.
The F-150 4Xs are really versatile. You can use them for work and play... The fishtailing is a driver control issue. :-)

Good video -- I bought the Platinum model so most of your annoyances were addressed with the higher trim level. I was annoyed with the front floor mats -- they are tiny and do nothing to protect your carpet from snow/mud/dirt. I ended up buying Husky liners to address this.
My company truck was an 2015 F150 and I own a Titan. I hated the extended door on the F150, you have to plan on how to get people in there in tight spots, same as you liked the truck though. My 2004 Titan extended door would open 180 degrees flat to the body, awesome in the bull crap tight parking spots where I live.
Also does the traction control not save your drifting issue?

I have covered that in a separate video, it has to do with Ford flooding the market with certain models.. a lot of Fusion's out there with rental companies and such.. doesn't mean they are bad cars.. just all over the place
jtoddk98 A huge issue the "Big 3" have is large rebate programs at model year end clearances. It destroys the late model market for resale because a new model with heavy rebates is generally too close in cost compared to the late model. So the late model value has to plummet to create the market share room. I don't like Toyota products but there lack of rebate programs regardless of time of year keeps their values high year to year.

The rental car industry absolutely kills the resale value of truly great vehicles because of the sheer numbers of vehicles they put into the market after they term them in the rental program. Fusion and Taurus are highly sought vehicles to rent, along with the Malibu, Impala, etc.

Hi Mike, I have a 2013 F 150 Limited truck. The one thing that bothers me is the hi running fan. Its extremely loud when the motor is hot. I went back to dealership about it and they said its normal. Huh?

My two problems you haven't mention are first off the passenger blind spot mirror was engineered incorrectly because it leaves a 1 ft blind spot between my truck and where I can see through the mirror unless I want half of the main mirror to be used up showing my truck and the second one is no power tow mirrors for it
Don't know what tires you have on your truck, but when I switched from factory tires provided on my 2011 F150 supercrew to GOODYEAR WRANGLER ALL-TERRAIN ADVENTURE WITH KEVLAR the traction was better and less chance of slippage.

The suicide door thing, is one thing everyone learns once they have had one. Dodge (when they offered the shorter non crew) & Toyota Tundra did it right on their shorter cabs. Kept the doors opening normally.
I had the suicide door on a silverado and when I closed the driver's door I noticed it didn't close as solidly as when there is a pillar to seal against like in a crew or reg. cab.
I can definitely understand the door seal and the MyFordTouch screen gripes. As for the doors, we had an RX-8 before and definitely wanted the Super Crew to alleviate the suicide-door issue. The fish-tailing issue is all in the driver; she's probably punching it from a stop rather than easing on the throttle. Ours is tuned and we have no fish-tailing issues from a stop. The visor mirrors you should be able to purchase by themselves and install; they tend to leave the connections in all of the trucks and connect as needed per model; check before purchasing to be sure.
The main gripe I have with our '12 is the fact that the radio always defaults to Aux In or USB when I'd like for it to default to Bluetooth for music. Also if you have multiple phones paired it has trouble fighting between them even with a default selected.
You bought a base model of a ford "truck" They are built really cheap and the perfect "truck" for young drivers and girls.

Get the door adjusted. Put some weight in the rear.Every time it snows the first vehicles to spin out,Are trucks. Unless you use a truck as a truck,Most cars would be a better choice.Or an SUV.
Or make it easier and dont buy a ford.

Great stuff! Thanks for posting. I've had many mechanics tell me to never use the 4-auto on a truck if it has it. Even the auto mode isn't durable enough to use for long periods of time (they have told me). It's hard on the transfer case is what I'm told. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with 4 auto?
The noisy door from seal happened for my dad in his Chevy truck. It was super annoying cause over time it started to fall off and had to be reset whenever door was opened.
What's in the grain of your Leather Steering Wheel? Dirt?
Nicholas Rideout F150s have a thick grain leather wheel because obviously its a truck and it needs to stand up to wear and tear. If you've driven an F150 with the leather wheel, it actually feels pretty nice, not cheap at all.
