Stephanie, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your experience, thoughts and your beautiful sweater in this review! Having you in a test knit group is really a gift, your insight is always invaluable. I love your sweater and I’m so happy to know you do too!!

Thank you for introducing me/us to Samantha Guerin. She is on my radar now.
She actually looks like a similar body type to mine so my hope is she grades for bigger bodies well.
I just finished yet another sweater that really isn't graded well for bigger bodies and even with my extensive knowledge of how to modify (which I did heavily) its still kind of leaves me feeling off.
I know everyone is tired of this conversation but geeze, yuh know, this is such an expensive and time consuming thing that we do. It's feels a certain kind of way when you have a finished piece that fits well.
And yours is absolutely gorgeous!! Love that pink on you.

Thank you so much Nico! Not tired of this conversation at all! The sizing for this pattern is graded for 32 (36, 40, 44) [48, 52, 56] {60, 64, 68} and that range is pretty standard for her. Samantha knit size 4 and there were testers through size 7 with positive feedback (unsure if there were testers filled for sizes 8-10). More projects/photos will likely be coming up from the testers on Rav and IG throughout the day!

Thank you so much for your sweater review, Stephanie! I’ve actually got the tee version in my queue and am hoping to knit it up this summer in a mustard colored 100% cotton yarn. It was lovely to spend time with you while I knit on my current test for Samantha, the Small Fry Scarf. 😊

I’ve been seeing a few more sweaters w round yoke + raglan increases. I have broad shoulders & not sure how a yoke sweater would fit (I usually gravitate towards raglans).
How different are the patterns (Tee vs pullover) fit-wise? (Obviously short/long sleeves…)
    Oh, wait… different yarn weights…never mind …lol
I’m putting this pattern in my queue for sure! Looks like a Perfect Styling sweater (no matter the yarn weight)!
Thanks for sharing your making info! Looks very nice on you! I really need a nice summery top, this might be the One!

I didn’t hear u say if lace work is in back also. It is lovely & u are fantastic speaker. U knitting is so perfect probably because u have good tension. Thanks for sharing. I can tell u would be perfect wife & mom. God bless 😮

Oh no!!! I must've totally forgotten to show the back. I do have photos showing the back on my Instagram (I believe it's possible to see Instagram profiles and photos without an account) and Ravelry project page if either of those are accessible to you. So sorry about that. The lace goes around the entire yoke with short row shaping in the back to raise the back neckline.
I think even knitting tension probably has some to do with the yarn, yarn+pattern pairing, and perhaps muscle memory! Thank you for checking out my video and for your kind words❤.

I have about 10 jades in that size. From 1974. My great grandmother in Italy. My mom stole a piece when we moved to America. They have gone wild!!!

Lovely sweater and color on you! Having tested the Salty Air Tee-would you consider adapting the fingering weight pattern to a full sweater? I’ve just finished the tee, and love the weight and design. Have knit other lace style yokes and think this one is so impressive! Your thoughts?
I’m currently swatching for the Slightly Sassy V, and that’s how I’ve found you!🌞👍🏻

Welcome! I think it would be super easy to knit long sleeves on the fingering weight version of the Salty Air Tee! You may need to adjust the arm circumference so you get the ease you prefer and then just need to figure out your taper decrease rate (or just knit even all the way to the cuffs).

Once again you "knocked it out of the park" with the incredible details about this sweater!❤❤ I made the short sleeve salty air sweater last year and it's one of my favorites. I kind of fudged making 3/4 length sleeves and used a cotton bamboo yarn. I will definitely add this to my library.
