that subtle muted lavender is lovely with your coloring!! Use all three in the striped garment or else it may give 1970's kitchen vibes!! Samantha Guerin is a wonderful woman and designer. I took a class with her a few years ago and she is so smart, patient and approachable. She also is very responsive to any questions you may have when knitting her ingenious patterns!!

So many fun projects! I tested the Salty Air tee, and loved it so much. I'm planning to knit a second one this spring/summer - I sized up for my initial tee, and now I want one that is more fitted. It's the perfect amount of dressed up and comfy.

I like all 3 colors of linen together. Sounds like it would go with all the colors you mentioned 😊

I tried to buy more intentionally with projects in mind last year. My problem is that I planned more projects than I had time for 😂. I think because I was seeing yarn I wanted to use and then finding a pattern to match. This year I will try to plan the make first as it fits my schedule and then decide if I need yarn. Still working out my game plan, especially before Flock in August 😅 I definitely have the Salty Air Tee on my make list in the next few months. SundayFibreCo and PurlsandRose and their group of friends all wore matching ones to Flock last year and I was obsessed. I ordered yarn from Elyse to make one right after I got home. But summer ended quicker than expected so I need to make it happen this year 🤞🏾

I just cast on the Salty Air Tee yesterday using Purl Soho Linen Quill in Pink Pop. Stepping out of my color norm but think it will look beautiful with a flowy white sweater and skirt!Seems like a tee that looks great on everyone! Hope you enjoy your Spring knitting.

I knit the Salty Air Tee with Linen Quill. I made one less repeat of the lace because the yoke was getting too long. I love it! It will look great in your yarn choice.

Your linen yarn, I was thinking the three colors together would be really pretty and then once you mentioned it I thought, yes, I need to say I think it would be very pretty. I attempted linen for a summer top and I just couldn’t get an even tension and the pattern turned out large so I tossed in the towel. The yarn store I bought the linen at said to wind it several times and it softens it a lot. I think it’s either you love it or hate it. It’s beautiful though and would make an awesome top.

Thanks for sharing your spring/summer plans, Hannah! I’m working on a test for Sam of her upcoming Springline Tee and then will likely pivot and cast on the Salty Air once I’ve got this one off the needles. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out! ❤ Mia

Also the knitting for olive cotton merino is delightful to knit with. I made a cardigan for my little one and it was so soft and easy to work with.

I sometimes buy yarn with a specific project in mind but my problem is I have so many plans and so much yarn that I tend to forget what I had planned for a specific yarn. I really should start a notebook where I write it down.

I loved hearing about your spring/summer knitting plans! I've seen the Salty Air tee a few times now and it looks like such a cute tee pattern. I can't wait to see your version.
I just finished knitting the Lauder vest by Rebecca of the Creabea podcast so now I'm ready to do some spring knitting too! Just today I cast on a Tolsta tee fingering weight for myself and an Ollie's Everyday Slipover for my toddler.
I'm incredibly excited about a fingering weight Micah's Raglan!! this is such perfect timing for me. We're expecting our second baby boy later this summer and I'd love to make some matching little sweaters for our toddler and the baby. I was planning to knit the Micah's Raglan, but now I think I'm going to wait for the lighter weight version. Definitely going to have to apply for the test knit!!
    ❤❤

I’m not a knitting planner for the most part. I just finished a sweater and some other projects and now I’m just doing a bunch of smaller things for immediate gratification (hats etc) and to use up some yarn. I have no idea what I’ll be knitting next after these. Trying to only use stash so I’m going to pick out a favorite skein and find a pattern for it. I have lots of single skein fingering weight yarns that I do not want to knit socks with.

Hello, Liked hearing about your plans for knitting. I have knitted the Salty Air tee and found it a great pattern.
I also have the Linen Lingarn yarn. I bought in Amsterdam too. Stephan and Penelope had a pattern made up called Lynne by Malia Mae Joseph. I think you could use and stripe it.

hi just discovered your podcast, I love your style, I think with your colouring you would look good in the spring side of the colour spectrum like the lavender you are wearing along with clear pastel blues and pinks more than the autumnal colours you are showing. I hope you don't mind me sharing my opinion. I am planning a winter colour work cardigan as it's autumn here, but recently finished the Paloma top by Truly Myrtle.

I vote to stripe all three colors for your linen top - and then you should have enough yardage??? But honestly, I think with outfit planning in mind, maybe pull out some shorts/pants/etc. and put the yarn pairs above it to better visualize how you'll actually wear the finished piece. How does the combo make you feel? Will you reach for it? I tested Samantha's Salty Air Tee and Sweater -both very wearable pieces and fun to knit! Currently testing Tori Yu's Skyline Tee too!!! Take care and talk soon friend!~Stephanie

I have Salty Air Tee on my list. How do you create a wish list on Ravelry? I didn't know you could do that.
Linen is tough to knit with, but do try it with metal needles.

For the attitude tee I would do the beige with the green:)
Is your sister a twin to you?
I don’t plan my projects anymore but I do pull yarn of a different colour out each month. It’s accessible and makes sure that I know what’s in my stash and makes me excited about yarn I already own.
