There are many factors in how to play golf better. One plan I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Gavs golf tactic (check it out on google) without a doubt the most incredible plan that I have ever heard of. look at all the amazing info .
This guy is still replying to comments after 2 years, that and the fact that this video is straightforward and put together well just earned you a sub.
That and the fact that he doesn't just love the sound of his voice and go off on 15-minute tangents. He gives you all meat and potatoes and I think he is amazing.
I struggled a week ago where I sliced everything. I discovered your video, used the foot powder and hit twenty practice drives into a net Wednesday night. Also set the driver to LESS draw. Thursday I played a course I had never played before that had water on almost every hole. I have never driven the ball better in my life. I hit many fairways and the ones I didn't the drives were still playable. I was hitting long and straight to a slight fade. Hitting the driver well made golfing fun. I am very grateful and appreciative for your videos and will be watching more!
The analogies are pure gold. The hat throwing for the right hand, the bucket , man, a small lesson with you is extremely well worth it regardless of the price!
I was pretty good as a junior. I put the clubs away because life just got too busy. Now I’m almost 25 and getting back into the game. Your videos are seriously helping me out, Adam. Thank you so much for posting all of this content. When the world settles down, I think a trip to Naples may be in order.
Insane. I am a first-time golfer at age 30. I watched this Viedo and went to the range with my friends and was hitting 7/10 drives perfectly. I feel like I owe you money... Subscribed.
I've watched so many videos about this and they are all saying the same thing but the wording used in this makes soo much more sense, 'like chucking a bucket of water' has truly made me really understand down deep. real good.
Adam’s genius is helping you without overloading you with information. His ideas on improving contact and how to practice have made me a better golfer at age 70 than I was at age 50. I was fortunate enough to have a lesson with Adam but I highly recommend his video series...his instruction on hitting fairway woods is brilliant.
HI I HAVE BEEN PLAYING SO BAD LATELY I WAS THINKING OF GIVING THE GAME UP!!! BUT I WATCHED YOUR VIDEO WITH BASKET ANALOGY AND DECIDED TO TRY OUT AT THE GOLF RANGE, I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH IT HELPED!! AMAZING I HAVE STARTED HITTING THE BALL STRAIGHT AGAIN MORE CONFIDENT IN STRIKING THE BALL THANK YOU SO MUCH!! MY AGE.....73
These are by far the BEST golf instruction I’ve seen on UA-cam. It’s helped me so much, thank you!! Very easy to understand & grasp the concept and understanding of what it’s supposed to look & feel like
I really appreciate that this doesn’t come with easy fixes. I’m a very conceptual person, and having things broken down with both causes and effects was really helpful. Thank you!
I used to play a pretty big draw, but it would occasionally turn into a block, or a hook. I stepped in a bit closer to the ball, which promoted me to swing a little steeper, and exit more left. I can now work the ball either direction, with not near as much curve either way. It has changed my game. Low handicap players often start getting too flat, and around. I’m glad that you addressed that issue. Great video!
Been swinging into the ball. The simple "downswing" breakdown blew my mind. Feels so much better. Consistency and distance are increasing rapidly. Thank you.
When he asked, would you bail out the water like this....no i dont think you would, I knew immediately that I was doing that movement incorrectly in my swing. Bucket drill = great visual aid for finishing swing.
Took these tips to the driving range today and every ball i hit (about 40 balls) was a straight laser with a good high apex. Completely took the slice out of my game. This man is legit. 100% subbed to you now
I’m fairly new to golf and just started having some lessons. My instructor (as well as teaching me the basics) actually recommended this video and I can see why. Clear and concise. Keep up the good work Adam.
The first 3 seconds of this video have taught me much by studying your swing frame by frame, over and over. A few more dozen times and I will move on to rest of the video and to the sagely insights that I hope will help me evolve my swing towards yours! After working though many of your lessons following my terrible tablesaw accident (almost losing all the digits on my left hand) last January, I am now down to 6 and loving my golf more than ever (and playing the piano again!). A very big thanks from Sydney, Australia - Dave PS. All the best through this difficult time.
I have seen a lot of videos on golf instruction and I just love the simplicity here. That downstroke movement at the beginning from the top may just bring my already fairly straight driver swing together. I say that because that first move downward has not been talked about and explained enough. I get the hip moving forward as long as the upper body stays behind the ball just as you do. It also applies to your irons but there at least you can break that line going forward toward the ball...thanks much !!
I just started playing (literally only been on the course once) had trouble w a lot of my drives.. the way u broke down the motion w the bucket makes a lot of sense.. will be subscribing
I can’t emphasize enough how much swinging down and that hip thrust he was talking about helps. Had 1 straight drive out of 15 the other day on the course went to the range after watching this I sliced one swing on 20 shots the rest dead down broadway gotta keep at it but first time I’ve ever felt like I made progress
Straight is a relative term. But "straighter" is certainly a reachable goal. And a "consistent" fade/draw is probably preferred over a straight ball flight. For the new/average golfer, imo, if you want to improve your on course golf game right now, leave your driver in the bag and tee off with your 3-wood instead. Save the driver for the range until you can handle it. Golf can't be mastered in a short time, but can be enjoyed while you learn if you'll play within your abilities.
Love all of your videos Adam, you are an excellent instructor and seem like an overall very nice man. I wish you much success in all aspects of life. 😀
Only 3 years late! Thanks for this one. My using a driver was so erratic and stressy that I gave up using one, using irons was more reliable. This video has helped me get back a little this year. Thanks, really helpful.
I decided to try this drill out at the range a few times and just see if it would help . Not only was I hitting my drives straighter but longer !! Averaged 230 with my 3 wood and getting 250 plus out of the driver . More I get use to it the longer longer the tee shots are getting . Being close to 50 years old this is very impressive for me to see . Thanks a million !!!
Bought some clubs and started practicing at the range for the first time last week which was great other than some elderly members of the club being horrible about my lack of ability. Anyways, really enjoy and appreciate these videos - you break everything down perfectly!
Thats why I prefer a public course with a range. No snotty members. I was a brand new golfer at 70 y.o. last year, so I can sympathize. Hang in there, Adam's a great teacher.
I actually saw this video yesterday. Today I went to the range bought a small bucket. Hit nothing but solid straight drives down the pipe. Can’t believe I fixed my swing that quick. Thank You. Playing tomorrow morning. My friends will be surprised.
I’ve watched all of your videos but this one is one of the most clear videos to fix a flaw. Thanks a lot I’ve just realised why I was slicing all the time my driver.
