I love your videos. And the advice to do extremely different things in your swing to adjust things to fine tune.
Thanks very much David
Always love your input on the golf swing. Your like the R & A an cover a lot of bases...Thanks...
Thanks for the kind comment.
All the best, Adam
Great video Adam. I love the concept of over-accentuating the opposite of the issue, then working back to the “middle”.
I appreciate all your hard work!
Thanks very much Mike.

Great videos.I have just started playing again after a break of 17 years and your back to bsics approach is a great help. Thanks.

Thanks Adam! I love this drill!
Glad to hear it Chas.

Adam great stuff as always. Wondering where the old swing analyses are, I remember the Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed, and Dufner analyses just to name a few. Great to get your expertise and opinion on what the pros are doing and to see how we could adopt some of their good tendencies. Thanks
Thanks Zack.
The analysis I did of those swings are still posted on UA-cam.
All the best, Adam
Really good video (s). No waffling. Great teaching.
Thanks very much Brian

Thank You!!
Thanks Fred, glad you liked the video.
All the best Adam
This is my problem, as a LH player, I pull to the right consistently (ie, first base). Excellent tips and best golf instruction on UA-cam IMHO... and I did purchase the Full Swing Masters Series last month to work on my overall game!
Thanks very much, and I hope you enjoy the course.
All the best, Adam
Excellent. Went to the driving range this morning and hit about 20 balls with this drill. Then hit balls without really thinking about it. Couldn’t believe how quickly it changed my swing. Thank you, thank you, thank you
Thanks Billy Roy, glad you found it helpful.
All the best, Adam
I've looked at dozens of online coaches and you, Adam, are without peer! Undoubtedly, you're the best online coach out there. You explain things clearly, logically and succinctly. You cut out all the bullshit and sensationalism so many of the others feel drawn to to maintain an audience. Keep 'em coming - and many thanks.
Thanks for the kind comment Martin.
All the best, Adam
Fantastic advice .... 6.10 - 6.30 cheers Adam.
Thanks Clifford, glad you found it helpful.
All the best, Adam
Dead on perfect explanation to exactly what I am doing. I'm hitting far shots - nice flight, but the minor pull has been killing my game. You addressed it in an absolutely perfect manner.
Thank you !!!
Thanks very much David.
All the best, Adam
Another great video Adam. I play off 5 hcap but last season i developed a terrible pull in my 100 yard shots, couldnt understand where it came from. Pretty sure my grip got too strong. The shots werent drawing they were straight pulls left. This video has given me a few options to work on.
Thanks Stan, hope you get the 100 yard shots sorted out.
All the best, Adam
Excellent as ever
Thanks very much Ben.
All the best, Adam

Thanks, glad you found it helpful
Great!
Thanks, glad you liked the video.
All the best, Adam
Really great video ,love the Preset impact position drill, I think one can use that setup for all wedges in to the green ? seems like a can’t miss shot for any shot under 100 yards and in ,great stuff ! Thanks
Thanks, and glad you found the video helpful.
All the best, Adam
Thanks Adam.

@@Scratchgolfacademy Does ball placement near the front of the stance or back of the stance matter? Also, should I always address my hands in front of the club to prevent pulling? Also, I've engaged my hips more - does it allow for me to over swing?
I'd say ball about in the middle. Hands ahead of clubhead at impact for sure, it won't guarantee no pulls, but it will help
Best, Adam
This guy is great
Very kind of you Robert.
All the best, Adam
Best lesson I have ever seen about pulling irons..it has bedevilled my game for years. Thank you Adam.
Thanks Tommy, hope you make good progress.
All the best, Adam
Best teacher in golf imho.
Thanks very much Rick.
All the best, Adam
Magical stuff as always. I've been playing golf for less than a year now with no face-to-face lessons. I religiously watch your videos and thanks to you I've finally broken 100 and reached low 90s. I do have one question though if you don't mind. My left(lead) foot tends to jump off the ground when stretching out the left leg upon impact, especially with the driver. I'd love to get your feedback on whether this is a good or bad habit (I've been told it's bad)
Aram,
Thanks, and very glad you've made such good progress. Regards the left foot, there are a number of top players that do this to one degree or another with their driver. I'd film yourself from face on view, as long as your weight (left hip) is getting over to the left side, and assuming you can time everything up, it's likely OK.
All the best, Adam
Great video, I have a question, are you trying to hold on to the lag or release the lag to that 45° angle after ball contact? Thanks ⛳🏃🏌️🏌️♂️
Eric,
What we want is good lag approaching impact, and then a robust release. However, what each person needs to feel in order to achieve that is an open matter.
All the best, Adam
Two Thumbs Up!!
Thanks very much Rusty.
All the best, Adam
Thanks for this drill. Though a little exaggeration it gives us a feel for impact and beyond. Would this be an ok drill as a shot rehearsal?
Yes, if it suits you it's a good rehearsal.
All the best, Adam
great lesson Adam. Does this apply for woods and drivers as well?
Thanks, and yes you could make the same application
Best, Adam
Great thx Adam
I have not played regularly in over 6 years. Just getting back to it over the past few weeks. I have an accentuated sharp pull either off the tee box and on my irons I hit almost 10-20 yards left off target. This video and drill should help. Will give feedback later.
I also top my wedges but that is a problem to be addressed with another lesson.
Scratch Golf Academy videos and drills make a lot of sense to me.
Thanks Ngu, hope you make good progress.
All the best, Adam
I wish I could play a round on beautiful turf like that but I'm in NC. :(
Thanks Paul. I feel fortunate to be at Mediterra, in Naples, Florida.
All the best, Adam
Would love to know if move over with chest to start downswing creates both pulls and fat shots. Also would like tips on how to consistently start downswing to avoid this occurring one to two times a round.
Peter,
It could be a contributor to chunking shots. It's rare that it 'suddenly shows up' here and there when playing, what generally happens is that the golfer has a pattern, and at times they can't time up their compensation...then the bad shot shows up.
Hope this helps.
Best, Adam
Since I have normally an on plane swing, per video in lesson with high school classmate PGA instructor Gale Peterson, club just above trailing forearm on downswing, occasional fat shot must be something else. Something I have dealt with 20 years.
I have a UA-cam video on 'how to stop hitting behind the ball' might be helpful.
Best, Adam
Can you preset the handle slightly forward and up to help eliminate the pull?
Thomas,
You can pre-set it, but honestly, not sure it's a difference maker.
All the best, Adam
My problem is the opposite - a push straight right, with no curve on the ball. So do I do the reverse, ie lower hands?
Stanley,
Yes, the low hands working more around you through impact would be better for you.
Hope this helps.
Best, Adam
Scratch Golf Academy thanks, Adam.. Love your videos!
So we are just silently accepting that he went from two time Pga-teacher of the year to three-time ? This dude must be doing sumtin right,no?
Thanks very much Peter.
All the best, Adam.
@5:20 looks like a Moe Norman swing.
Paul,
I was lucky enough to spend time with Mo on a few occasions. Great fun, and I agree with you.
All the best, Adam
I suck. In approx 55 years I’ve improved about 2 shots.
Sorry to hear it, keep plugging.
Best, Adam
I was pulling it today
I hope you can get it sorted out Arvind.
All the best, Adam
need putting advice when in tournaments..
I agree Steve, pretty challenging.
Best, Adam
My shots , i shank the ball club face closed and feels like club grip has twisted
Hope you can get it sorted out. I have a video on shanking at this channel you might find helpful.
Best, Adam
Practising like this you get automatically good shaft lean I think
Mauri,
Yes, I agree, it would be good for shaft lean.
All the best, Adam
Looks a bit like Moe Norman's swing.
At bit, no. A lot, yes!
Ken,
I agree, it would have that look.
Best, Adam
Thanks Stephen.

You are so very Beautiful big boy xx
Glad you liked the video.

GOLF IS A GAME OF MISTAKES.. HOW GOOD ARE YOUR MISTAKES.. MY HUSBAND PUT MORE EFFORT IN PRACTICING HIS GAME, AND HE ALWAYS QUOTE 'PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT' AND I ALSO QUOTE, 'IF PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT AND NO ONE IS PERFECT WHY PRACTICE'?
Fair enough Marie. It's a low margin of error game, so as humans all we can do is work at it, and persevere.
All the best, Adam
I don’t think that is a good drill for a scratch golfer. Beginners ok
Ron,
Despite the name of my channel, these videos are aimed at 'most golfers' Naturally, people have to apply advice (any advice) as they see fit.
Thanks for watching the video all the same.
Best, Adam
............... look away. Golf should not be this complicated.
Sorry you didn't like the video. The reality is that people do struggle a lot with this game, that's why they seek help.
Best, Adam
@@Scratchgolfacademy Everything.. Well, everything I have seen is about how to compensate for the casting you are implying in your "teaching".
Too complicated of instructions. Too much stuff to think about.
Sorry you didn't like the video
