    Adam great stuff as always. Wondering where the old swing analyses are, I remember the Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed, and Dufner analyses just to name a few. Great to get your expertise and opinion on what the pros are doing and to see how we could adopt some of their good tendencies. Thanks

    I've looked at dozens of online coaches and you, Adam, are without peer! Undoubtedly, you're the best online coach out there. You explain things clearly, logically and succinctly. You cut out all the bullshit and sensationalism so many of the others feel drawn to to maintain an audience. Keep 'em coming - and many thanks.

      @@Scratchgolfacademy Does ball placement near the front of the stance or back of the stance matter? Also, should I always address my hands in front of the club to prevent pulling? Also, I've engaged my hips more - does it allow for me to over swing?

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 роки тому +1

      I'd say ball about in the middle. Hands ahead of clubhead at impact for sure, it won't guarantee no pulls, but it will help

    Magical stuff as always. I've been playing golf for less than a year now with no face-to-face lessons. I religiously watch your videos and thanks to you I've finally broken 100 and reached low 90s. I do have one question though if you don't mind. My left(lead) foot tends to jump off the ground when stretching out the left leg upon impact, especially with the driver. I'd love to get your feedback on whether this is a good or bad habit (I've been told it's bad)

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 роки тому +1

      Aram,
      Thanks, and very glad you've made such good progress. Regards the left foot, there are a number of top players that do this to one degree or another with their driver. I'd film yourself from face on view, as long as your weight (left hip) is getting over to the left side, and assuming you can time everything up, it's likely OK.

    Great video, I have a question, are you trying to hold on to the lag or release the lag to that 45° angle after ball contact? Thanks ⛳🏃🏌️🏌️‍♂️

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  3 роки тому +1

      Eric,
      What we want is good lag approaching impact, and then a robust release. However, what each person needs to feel in order to achieve that is an open matter.

    I have not played regularly in over 6 years. Just getting back to it over the past few weeks. I have an accentuated sharp pull either off the tee box and on my irons I hit almost 10-20 yards left off target. This video and drill should help. Will give feedback later.
    I also top my wedges but that is a problem to be addressed with another lesson.

    Would love to know if move over with chest to start downswing creates both pulls and fat shots. Also would like tips on how to consistently start downswing to avoid this occurring one to two times a round.

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 роки тому

      Peter,
      It could be a contributor to chunking shots. It's rare that it 'suddenly shows up' here and there when playing, what generally happens is that the golfer has a pattern, and at times they can't time up their compensation...then the bad shot shows up.
      Hope this helps.
      Best, Adam

    • @petermartin4633

      Since I have normally an on plane swing, per video in lesson with high school classmate PGA instructor Gale Peterson, club just above trailing forearm on downswing, occasional fat shot must be something else. Something I have dealt with 20 years.
