My father was an economist at the UN for 30 years and really enjoyed it. Because of his work we grew up in many different countries in Africa, Europe and North America.
Lovely video! I really appreciated all your info! I have been considering doing that since I am doing my last year this year! I hope all goes well! Much love from a Zambian xx
Thank you for such an informative video! I wanted to ask, will they consider a 3-year student in bachelor studies even though the requirement states that the minimum is "to be enrolled in the final year". I heard that not all requirements need to be satisfied to get the internship but not sure about this case. Also, once selected, did you have any difficulties with obtaining medical insurance? Once again, thank you!
hi, thank you so much for all the information. Can we do the intern in the same country where we are from? How long is the internship? And you have to have a bachelor's degree to be an intern? Thank you.
Hi Tina, Thanks for this comprehensive video it is really eyeopening. I have a kind of hard question I can't find an answer to it on the internet 😅 I earned my bachelor's degree three years ago so I cannot apply with it, but I am doing a postgradute diploma right now. Could it be considered as a graduate program and apply with it? Or it has to be a master's degree? Thanks Tina
Hi! Thanks for your question! It’s hard for me to answer that. I would contact the hiring manager for the specific internship you are applying for (look for them in LinkedIn) or contact UN career and ask if diploma is sufficient. Good luck! 😊
Hi, do you have advice for an undergraduate student looking to do an UN Internship over summer? I’m currently worrying if it will interrupt with my 2nd year of study in University. Thank you!
Hi! I think the most important thing is to have some experience doing some type of social society activity which shows you are an engaged person. So even if it isn’t a payed job you should have some experience in volunteering. Good luck!
Hi! It wasn’t very long in my case. Just about 2 weeks. But I’m sure it varies from place to place. I actually submitted my application quite late since I just found the posting by chance.

Lol but thing is UN internships are unpaid! And it’s incredibly costly to stay in the cities where you’ll be interning
Not all, Some pay upto $ 1000 per month. FAO pays 70k KES per month

Hi can I apply in another field instead of my own feild which I'm studying in my country? Will it effect on my application???👀
you can for sure if you have the experience. I studied statistics and did an internship for 6 months in communications with the UN.
Hello good people, I'm from Kenya but am working in Saudi, can someone help me to get a job in Europeans countries? Please if possible
Did they give you a certificate at the end of the internship as a proof that you were a UN intern?
Hello! Im just wondering how long did you wait between the time you submitted your application and the time they contacted you?
