[Coury] It was great to co-host this episode with ya, Joe. Thanks for the invite. I thought I played a lot of Power Wash Simulator! But for real, working on this episode made me realize how out of practice I am just writing game reviews. Our channel has been so focused on gaming tech for so long, that I found it very refreshing to just be able to sit back and talk about a game for being a game. Joe makes it look easy, but its pretty challenging to condense everything you need to say about a game into a few minutes. I'll absolutely be taking that lesson with me back to MLiG!
Awesome to see more MLiG here on Game Sack! Always got a kick out of the "Invading My Life in Gaming Skit" you did Joe. Got to see both members of MLiG this year and I started my conversation with them by quoting that skit with them both laughing. Awesome video, really enjoyed seeing this guest cohost style video.
Correction, Godzilla and Gamera are completely separate and i believe have only ever crossed over in a recent Godzilla mobile game. Gamera was a different studio and has his own rouges gallery
My friends and I have actually done this for the last couple of years. Every Steam Summer and Holiday Sale, we randomly draw names and assign a game to play that we have enjoyed but that the other person hasn't played. I have played Spiritfarer, Alundra, Brave Fencer Musashi, and Tales of Arise with Deus Ex next on deck. It has been a really fun way to experience games I don't think I would have gotten around to otherwise. I highly recommend trying it.
Superman is impossible without a Game Genie, one of the best Genesis soundtracks though which is unfortunate since most players will never get far enough to hear any songs.
I’ve actually always liked the Genesis Superman game. However, it is best to play the PAL version, which has the punch animation while jumping and levels of difficulty (both missing from the NTSC version) and using the Gamegenie code that makes Superman invulnerable to everything but Kriptonite blasts. It does make the game way easier but more in tone with what the character is like. Excellent episode and all games presented I played and enjoyed over the years.
I enjoyed this a TON. The two-host format has always worked well, and Coury’s knowledge fits great with Joe’s. I’d love to see more of these with other collaborators in the future, but I’m equally happy with the excellent Game Sack content we’ve been getting. Oh, and before I forget: The ending skit had me rolling.
[Coury] Cool seeing you here! You wouldn't believe how often TNL and the people I've met because of it have weaved in and out of my life since 1999. From right here in the Game Sack comments to Mikado arcade in Japan, I'm constantly surprised by who I run into that were on that forum, GF_Tavern on IRC and the GameGo! board before that.
07:34 that was my first thought when playing Gamera 2000. That stage is straight copy from Panzer Dragoon. Gamera 2000 is actually a pretty cool game. Don’t sleep on it.
I love every episode but this one was so good! Thank you both for the countless hours of entertainment and education! Both shows are running nonstop in the evenings after work when I retire to the Nerdery
Never played Shadow of Rome? You missed out but it's not too late! The decapitations, dismemberments, attacking people with their own severed limbs, throwing heads into the crowd, throwing weapons into the crowd (killing them). All of which the crowd loves. Slaves peeing themselves before you execute them, the "Juicy Tomato." Need I say more? The game is a love letter to virtual sadists and a true masterpiece. Where's my Shadow of Rome 2 Capcom?
Powerwash Simulator is so addicting, I bought it on sale thinking I would play a little then never go back. 400+ hours later. The DLC has been really great as well. Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Back To The Future...
I really miss Dave when he was still with you, Joe. But it's nice to see that Corey from My Life In Gaming could join you on Game Sack. You should do this with Joe from Same Name Different Game, Eric from Game vs. Game, Dan Bullich and Pat Brennan from Console Wars, Nathaniel Bandy, NintenDrew, and Redhotsonic in future episodes.
I think the issue with doing collabs is that, I guess, they live far away from each other. The perks of living in a huge country! My dream collab would be with Sega Lord X.
Tails of the Sun and Gamera 2000 are some real '1996-era- PSX games. They look more refined than PS1 games from 1995, but still rough around the edges. I remember seeing both of those games featured in different issues of GameFan Magazine back then. Never played Gamera 2000. The live action FMV stuff looks great. Played Tails of the Sun from a rental. tails of the Sun was weird. Played the game after Mario 64, was less impressed by the graphics. But it was still neat.
Joe, you have certainly devised a clever way to get people to watch until the end. Myself included. This was the funniest end segment ever and I loved the blooper reel.
I was actually playing Power Wash Simulator while watching this video, and I'm glad you came around on it! It's definitely a 'sound off' game although I guess there's an ASMR quality too.
This was actually pretty fun I learned about a game I’ve never heard before and you guys are great together, that ending skit was specially hilarious since Coury is always so serious in his channel 😂😂😂 great stuff
Loved this idea as I got to see some games that aren't talked about as much and saw som new to me titles, hope you can keep this idea going with Coury again or others as it seems like a great way to shine some light on titles people might not known about.

This made me Happy 😊 ❤
Your life in gaming is just the eeeeesss seriessss
You should Name this Crossover My Sack in Gaming
Um, PHRASING!! LOL!
I dunno, I think "My Life in Sack" would be better! 😆
Guest hosts are a great idea. Also you should see if Dave wants to host anytime soon! 😊
Definitely miss Dave being part of the show
My life in gaming crossover amazing idea
I heard Superman, and thought, "No way he did him dirty by giving him Superman 64!"
Naaaaah who hasn't tried Superman 64 at least once in a uhhh somewhere.
😂 my thoughts as well.
6:04 "Hey focus on the turtle, not me!" lol that made me laugh
This episode reminded me how much I miss Dave, this show truly shines when it's a duo imo, I hope Coury comes again in future episodes.
me too ....
They don’t live anywhere near each other. Coury was traveling and stayed at Joe’s house a night or two when they filmed the b-roll.
Dave was great, but honestly I don't miss him.
@@Jesse__HFound Joe's alt account
Yeah they had a great dynamic. The show isn't any worse because he's gone, mind you, but it's missing that "two best friends" feel.
Bless Coury for finally getting Gamera 2000 on the show 🙏
The man, the myth, the legend.. It's my favorite irishman!
When I saw Gamera 2000, I somehow knew I would find you in the comments
I played gamera already thanks to Sean’s recommendation

Excellent video! I can't believe Coury would intentionally mess up the skit just so he could slap Joe more.
Coury gave us a tour de force performance in the end skit 🥲
Correction, Godzilla and Gamera are completely separate and i believe have only ever crossed over in a recent Godzilla mobile game. Gamera was a different studio and has his own rouges gallery
That ending skit is my new favorite as it's basically a sequel to my original favorite one where you take BDB. Plus the bloopers were fun too.

The best songs are hidden towards the end of the game and that's a crime.
Nothing like fresh Sack.
Yuck 😂
Tail of the Sun is the best life sim I've ever played. Thank you for covering it in this video.
That was absolutely the best ending sketch in Game Sack history. He was totally on your level and you guys completely both nailed it. Awesome!
You start off as a lowly gladiator named “asparagus or something” 😂
Love seeing a couple of my fav UA-camrs working together!
Dave looks younger without the beard.
Finally Dave is back but he changed so much I can't believe it's him
I enjoyed the format, having direct recommendations instead of the usual Top X is much more fun, especially for unknown games.
i swear. i come for the games but stay for the ending sketch.
Wait just a minute. Are you telling me that the after-video bits are STAGED!!!
Nah that can't possibly be true
No.
Ooh, I can't WAIT to play Rat Catching Simulator, Garbage Man Simulator, and Sewer Maintenance Simulator!

This is why I sub. Learning about GOOD games that I never heard of. Thank you for Gamera 2000, this is my Sunday today now.
We need a Game Sack Simulator
Given Midjourney generated images, one could code such a sim in... Eight weeks? (150 hours)
