Extra Tip:
Go and buy the external Bluetooth remote control that usually comes with the Hohem iSteady X2. (Available as an accessory in the Hohem webshop).
This is also compatible with the V2 and you have even more options and control over the gimbal.
You could, for example, screw on a suitable selfie stick (pay attention to stability and load capacity!) and attach the remote control to the lower end.

Excellent content and clearly explained. Been looking at this one as a posed to the latest models because I think for what I would need it would cover. The others seem too technical for me and this one I think you get a lot for the money. I would use for holidays because my Husband and I always find it difficult getting pictures/footage of us and this would be ideal. Someone mentioned getting the Bluetooth control which would be great. Thank you again 🙏🏻

When you mention ‘tilting action’ … is it the same issue as the Dji Osmo3? Compared to a regular gimbal, I always struggle with flashlight mode / crane shots as it requires an awkward move when going down. Would this one be a better option or is it similar to dji om3/4?
I personally prefer this one to the Om3 for the tracking. The tilting design is very similar to the OM3/4 but the AI Vision Sensor is definitely a big factor for me to love this one! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🤘🏼

How does it compare to the Crane M2? Can the AI tracking do object tracking versus just face tracking? Trying to decide between the Isteady V2 and Crane M2 for my SOny ZV1 and GoPro 9.

Fantastic, clear and precise review as always. Questions though, I'm looking for a tracking solution for the Osmo Action, this seems to work well with action cameras, BUT is it ONLY face tracking? What if you turn sideways or have your back to it, does it lose you? What is the range of the tracking, how far away can you be from it? Do you need a camera adapter plate for action cameras? Thanks if you can answer those! Really been struggling to find a tracking solution for the Osmo Action
It will track your body if you turn your back to it. It just the face

What about close up product shots? I’m trying to do close up unboxing shots for my videos and the gimbal goes nuts when I tilt it certain angles to get closer to the product. I haven’t seen any videos on using the gimbal for close ups- any ideas?

V2 definitely brings it with the AI tracking if you’re looking for a great foldable gimbal solution. Their new M6 is also up there on my favorites. Hope this helps!

You can on the new V3 model! V2 was stationary and they updated that recently! Game changer in my opinion.

Mine was only 4hrs battery life..not using it too much just like a standby mode (but its on) handle for my Note20

If you’re interested in using the gimbal with 3rd party apps for live streaming and such then the iSteady V2 is my pick. The OM3 is a great option since it’s priced at 99 but the extra $29 for the iSteady V2 is well worth it in my opinion. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼

Technically yes! It’s trippy but once in the grip and paired you can definitely start recording and track with the rear cameras. 🤘🏼

I’d say both X2 or V2 are great options. It depends on your tracking needs. If using with a 3rd party app the V2 is what I recommend.
I understand that you must sign into the application to access the features. If I am traveling abroad and do not have access to a digital network does this mean that the gimbal features available via the application will not be available to me? I know everyone assumes that digital networks are available everywhere but that's just not the case. If the application must be signed into that limits the area the product can be used. Do I have the right?
I have the V2 and the only time I ever use the app is when I want to use the main camera just like he shows at the beginning of his video. The AI sensor that follows you works without the app. And you can always flip your camera around to use the main camera without using the app. The only other reason you need the app is to zoom in and out by bluetooth but you can do that just by touching your own phone. I really don't see why you need an app at all. Hohem brags on their website that this is the one gimbal where you do not need an app. Their tutorial videos are on their website. I hope this helps.

Network access is only needed to register the app after you install it. It does not need network connection during subsequent use.

The V2 will track an object or a face by locking onto it through their app. Just click on face or object.

I have both. I prefer the Hohem. It's more stable and the AI sensor works really well for filming alone. The DJI does have one advantage. With counterweights it will handle a big (ish) load with a large ND filter.

Of course. AI-powered gesture control can be used in ALL third-party applications. And thus also for Facebook Livestreaming, for example.
How can I attach rode video mic on it?
Not an option
A year late but you can attach the Rode Mike to the phone and the phone to the gimbal.
How do you think, will DJI announce OM5 this year or they will discontinue this product? :(
I think they will continue to iterate their OM line. There’s a lot of room for growth especially on the mid range phone market that would like to have better video and photo quality but phones may not have OIS. Cant wait for them to innovate!

Does anyone know the latest version/model is coming with more features? Is this is the latest model? I'm planning to get iPhone 14 which is probably months away. Just checking if it can handle heavy models like iPhone 12 pro-Max, 13.
Tested this gimbal with the 12 Pro Max. It also handles the 13 Pro Max without any issues in my tests. Hope this helps!
To be honest, I can barely tell the difference @ 5:00. The iPhone has great built in stabilization. Side by side its hard to tell that which one was shot with a gimbal.
Yes I noiticed that too. I wonder if he turned off the built in stabil. I'm running an S22 with amazing built in stabilization but the built in stabilization causes the video to stutter say every 10 seconds or so. I'm wondering how this compares to not using the built in stabilization.

Umm, the AI tracking is cool and should be on all gimbals. DJI looking at you. However, the footage of stabilization looks about same on iPhone 12 Pro Max as is does on iPhone 12 Pro Max + Gimbal 🙄
Definitely at a point where the stabilization on smartphones is getting extremely good! It is more noticeable in low light environments and I agree with you on the sensor! Thanks for sharing your time! 🤘🏼
#1 Reason I don't. Repairing this to Bluetooth is next to impossible.
Sorry you’re having bluetooth challenges. So far all my Hohem gimbals have performed great. Id recommend maybe reaching out to them to see if they have support options. Also I removed it from my devices and added it again and sometimes it helps when using other devices simultaneously. Hope it gets resolved!

Works fine on my Samsung Note Ultra 20. Note that Android phone gimbal apps rarely supports resolutions higher than 4k 30. Otherwise, app works as expected.

@@PlimbaUrsul It only supports 30fps in the Hohem app. You can get 60fps in a 3rd party app like Filmic Pro (double check compatibility of your specific phone before purchasing app)

Do not buy this product. They outsource to a delivery company who then outsources to another provider. If you do not get the product then a blame game starts and you neither gets product nor delivery. Very irresponsible company and I lost my money.
I bought the V2 and a couple other items from their Hohem website and I've never had a problem and customer service was very nice to me when I had questions.
This gimbal is trash
