First Take was failing show. Yes it was number one but only due to it being on the biggest platform for sports in ESPN. The numbers was falling & Stephen A so an opportunity to improve the ratings. This notion Stepen A saved Shannons career is completely false. Shannon is the one who saved SAS.
How ironic would it be if Skip has no other offers and that's the end of his run on television while Lebron is still in the NBA. That's why you make a career out of your hard work and talent instead of critiquing another person's talent.

Not really Sherman was only on 3 times a week and didn't bring much when he was. Michael Irvin still comes on 3 times a week except for the last 2 weeks due to other engagements and the show still is not good.
Keyshawn spits facts while skip sits there and just watch.

This is Karma for all the years of disrespect he dish out to Shannon, Shannon was the reason why the show even had it's success and ratings. They had great talking points and gel together whenever they provide stats to backup their claim, but i think the disrespect towards Shannon was enough and it resulted in Skip desperate to save a show that ratings is lower than it's been
Shanon just fit with Skip, i liked him a more on undisputed. I dont really care about him on first take, SAS with Reddick or that italian guy is more entertaining.
But yeah, skip alone is nothing, he needs a partner. Some vilains are great alone like Joker and some are scrap.

For both First Take and Undisputed, the rotating format sucks imo. It’s fun to hear two people’s opinion that you’re very familiar with, watch the game knowing that they’re watching it as well, then hear what they have to say about it the next day. The rotation thing takes away that connection.
You can’t replace Shannon’s charisma, but Keyshawn is so uninteresting. Pierce would actually be way more entertaining in my opinion.

If you're entertained in the process, that's just a nice bonus... Even Jon Stewart wouldn't call himself a "journalist" for this very reason... It's not totally objective if entertainment is critical to the show...
Once you start talking about the political hacky partisan talking heads on Fox/MSNBC, those pundits and show hosts are also different from the crap terrible faux neutrality/faux objective "facts first" "unbiased TV journalism" that you get with places like CNN now...

Best route for who? I think it is very clear that other on air talent at FS1 don't want to work with Skip or that he historically didn't want with them. Very conspicuous that Collin's Show and Skip's show were in the same studio steps away from each other with no on air cross talk.
