    Subscribed, I'm 57 and over the years neglected my dust management, I'm due to have my third bout of sinus surgery to try and remove the malignant tumour this week. So use your respirator young man, consider your self bollocked. But the vids are great.

      I considered myself well and truly told off, I’ve a good one just need to stop being so daft as to not put it on. All the best with your surgery, Have you got a T4 Damian?

      @@pdubs7831 Yep I have a T4, it's having some welding done at the moment. I'm thinking of getting a welder this year and having a go myself and your channel is inspiring me to have a crack. Hopefully we can all get out in our vans soon and go places, keep the vids coming.

    Great job! a pressure washer on that fuel tank would have sorted it!

    Awesome 👍 exactly where I put mine and looks much better than drilling through the sender. I used a little cup in the tank to catch and shavings from the drilling (should have mentioned that before 🤦‍♂️). I cleaned my tank when it was off as well 😆. Good job done well there 👍

      I’ve had a bit of a nightmare with it. I wasn’t happy with the way one the the existing fuel lines was pressing up hard against the new pipe and the circlip so I had to drop it again to make changes. I was worried that with time the pipe would be worn through with rubbing, but it’s sorted now. 🤙

    Congrats on the 200 subs, mate. Great channel and useful stuff. Inspired me to leave my air cooled vws alone for a while and shower some love on my own T4

      @@pdubs7831 watching this one with interest mate as I’d like to put a diesel heater in mine for after my sea swimming excursions. Already put one in my old beetle and not keen to use the auxiliary fuel tank

      No worries Johanna, I can’t see all of your previous message about the T4 /T6 comparison but they are worlds apart. I love both of them, the T4 for its simplicity in design and the ability to be able to work on it. It rattles and shakes, it’s noisy and slow. The T6 (work van) for its solidness, its fast, solid, well built and I love the shape and its aggressive lowered stance.

    Great work, well done and you have another subscriber. 👍. I would put a bit of sealer / tec 7 on those self drilling tek screws. They could vibrate loose over time. Put a small bit in with the screw and also some over the head of it after tightening. It'll stay put then for a hundred years.

    Bit confused why there ? as you drilling hole why not to by filling neck as then you can attach fuel feed without tank being removed

    So what year van is this that needs the tank dropping?....my 2002 2.5 T4 has access to the sender through a plate in the floor by the handbrake so no need to remove the main tank as the sender can be taken out through this>

    My T4 keeps breaking down, RAC recovery man told me he recovers more Vdubs than any other van, why does anyone spend so much time tarting them up?

    Hey, P Dubs, could you help me out and explain what is that white thing with white hose coming out of the tank near tank lid? Is it breather valve, if it is how to check if it is ok?
    Thanks for an answer :)

    • @pdubs7831
      @pdubs7831  2 роки тому

      Hi Benas, I’m not completely sure myself, I presume it is a breather pipe. Do you have an issue with the engine running smoothly and and air hissing when you remove the fuel cap?

    • @benuliux10
      @benuliux10 2 роки тому

      @@pdubs7831 I had a problem with not being able to fill up the tank. Had it off a car. Cleaned everything and it filled up, but after a filling tank up and driving a bit. I took the fuel cap off and heard air russhing into a tank, bubbling... car drives fine... In fuel tank everything was fine, all clean, not plugged anything. I havent touched that white thingie I was asking. Maybe it is the problem.
