Great video. I just installed a 1/4 midplate and I did not know how to measure for the spacer. Please forgive my newbie question. Where does the spacer go? Is it like washers between the flex plate and converter or does it go on the converter that goes into the flew plate?

But they really do great explanations on Transmissions..Everything about them, every kind.....And you probably know him, out of Elpaso Tx I think... Definitely appreciate the tutorial. Curious what happens if the converter is too close? Only been drag racing a couple years and learning as I go. Might be a dumb question to some but I don’t claim to know it all and never will
I need help I just exploded a brand new power glide and I shimmed it the way your talking but the center hub on the converter was about 3/4” of an inch away from the crankshaft. I did not know this was a problem untill it stopped working after the 5th pass. I run 5:70s in the 1/8” Do I have the wrong flex plate or what’s going on This Powerglide is on a small block Ford Does anyone know what to do or had this problem please reach out. Thanks and God Bless yall
Yes I have one now …. 2000 dollers later it ate the pump up and I also had the wrong flex plate. I got it all back together and have made 3 passes on it and it seems good now I’m hoping but need more passes to prove the system. It ran almost identical passes but again it’s only 3 so far.

If it doesn’t have enough clearance it will eat the pump up in the trans

Do you run a hub crank adapter? It mostly needed for a Sbf to Pg setup

What's the difference in a loss converter and tight? I here it all the time.
It just a difference in where the converter stalls at for instance loose would be high stall and tight low stall
How does hp effect spacing?
Torque converter ballooning needs. More hp probably more pressure
