That little tab on the cover that hooks behind the locking mechanism is also ridiculously easy to break. Once you have the cover off, you have full access to the buttons and can do anything you want. I discovered a broken tab on my gate motor a few years ago. Cover was just sitting loosely on top. Essential to invest in a locking bracket with these. Which is like another 2k on top of the 5k motor.
lol this is the least of my worries. My dogs usually hide in wait for intruders. They let them come in before lounging at them. They learnt that barking at them will make them run away and they will miss out on fun of having him inside to themselves.
Best is to put a fish hook with some infectious substance like dog crap, when the jab they will be very sorry.... They also poison the dogs with two step
Great video thanks for this. I was wondering if you could answer a question of mine. I have a D5 with the old motherboard. I am considering buying the D5 EVO motherboard to upgrade the old motherboard. Is this doable, would you happen to know if I require any other extras before I commit myself to this purchase?
While I'm not living in South Africa nor do I have an electric smart gate, I do have a feeling that if someone presses that button from the other side of the sliding gate... his hand is sheared by the opening gate.
Nothing new here. You do realize that this NOT unique to Centurion gate motors. ALL gate motors have an on board button that operates the gate, since whenever. It can only be switched off on some of the newer motors. Stop creating panic.
Thank a million mate.... The bastards stole the whole bloody gate motor, now I know how they did it

Thank you so much bru. I have now been more educated regarding the safety of my property and a better security. God bless you brother.
Luckily my anti-theft bracket has a broad metal strap that covers the button area.
Thanks for this!
Thanks for the heads-up!
Grateful for your advice!

@@sleepyjoe5380that's illegal unfortunately, it counts as a booby trap. For some reason thieves have rights in this country
What to do if your gate doesn't close properly. Close but very slowly
Will share this link

Knowledge is not panic.Another solution is to put a lockable metal casing over the whole mechanism which also prevents theft of the gate motor.
