Are you out of tune when the fuzz kicks in? or is that some weird modulation effect? Buying this entire line before Josh Scott does a video on them and they drive up the price by $150
Such a great demo of something simple and cheap but really unique. Thanks for going to the trouble of stereo recording. I can't believe how many stereo pedal demos are recorded in mono!
I’ve had this since it came out and the step mixed with step on the boss phase shifter is great mix because it feels less predictable but is still very controlled. Love it.
own it about 6 years now. i bought it because i couldnt find a digitech hardwire flanger that sounded like i wanted it to sound. i dont play it that often but it´s always on my pedalboard! i really love this little stompbox!
bought one based off this review too, I highly recommend doing so! I like it more than my JHS 3 Series Flanger and Boss BF-3, it is THAT good. Now I have 3 Flangers on my board. sorry if all existence gets sucked into the sonic void I'm making with them, my b fellas
Never thought to do the whole Chorus thing with this, I bought it for the weird glitches and putting percussive sounds into step mode. I'm contemplating more chorus. This may scratch the itch if I can get a bit those sea sick sounds from it. Sending it parallel with dry often helps.
Pretty cool, for those naysayers who think it's a useless effect. It's these kind of added colors that can add just enough complexity to a simple, catchy, solid riff, that otherwise might not seem to be enough. Never had much luck with DOD/ Digitech, from the old days, up to the more recent Carcosa series, but I'd give this a go.They must do something right.
Great video! This was the first pedal I bought myself. I get a fine Leslie sound in Mode 3. Also, I don't use it often, but all the Digitech X series have a cabinet simulator you can activate by pressing down the pedal and then plugging it in.
@@frankthepriest1220 If you do nothing, the cab sim stays off. If you have the pedal off, then press down on it, then turn it on, that activates the cab sim feature. You turn off the cab sim by turning off the pedal.
@@timothyrice1621 oh that's what you meant, just to turn the pedal on/off 😂 Anyway, not all the X series have got the cab sim on upper out...just the ones where the upper out says "mixer". The others (like turbo flange, delay, chorus, phase) have the stereo out, not the cab sim, on the upper out. Turbo flange and synth wah are amazing! Cheers
@@frankthepriest1220 I think what he's saying is all the x-series znd a few more gave cab simply on them. You activate it by unplugging it, hold down the pedal, then plug it in. This is regardless of whether they have stereo or amp, mixer outputs.
ok mate just ordered this for 35 euro´s because of your demo..if it is not good I will come to your place and do absolutely nothing :) great demo mate, simple, to the point, what is needed . Good on ya..
This sounds wonderful! I just tried out my digitech multichorus, and that's a bit noisy for me and also has a slight volume boost when engaged (funny, first I remembered for volume loss, had to check to realise it's the other way around). What do you think about this one? I love the sound, so I'm thinking about one. Also, it's a very good demo!
Thanks! I like this pedal, especially for the price. All modes sound good, in my opinion. It doesn’t add much if you use it in stereo, and it doesn’t have through zero, but other than these I have no complaints.
yo i know this is 3yrs later, but the DigiTech PS200R official supply is 300ma but i doubt it takes more than 100ma tbh. i just added it back on my board and found ur vid again ! @@DoNoise
I've had mine for years... Just lacks mix control...so I use it in my Superego+ effects loop and works great...

That how the distortion I used responded to low notes. No other modulation was used there.
And getting those now might be a very wise choice!

I’ve been curious about its stereo image before I got one myself.
I saw this video months ago and today i got my turbo flange! Great video and great pedal. Greetings from Chile
This made me buy one immediately no joke
I’m sure you’ll have fun with it!
Wow, this is like the Boss PH-3 Phaser pedal, but in a Flange! And I think both are very underrated.
I’ve had this since it came out and the step mixed with step on the boss phase shifter is great mix because it feels less predictable but is still very controlled. Love it.
Brandon Wilburn I should try that, it’s a good idea!

You sound Devine. I ordered one from Reverb based upon this vid. Many thanks.
I've never had that much GAS over a flanger before. AND your sound is so thick and pleasing to the ear!
I've buyed one almost 15 year ago, it's still in my pedal board set on rise/fall.
Excellent demo

Because of this video I will be buying this pedal. Thank You!
Happy to be able to help!
I was able to get one for $30 score!
6:02 this is what made me like random step mode thanks!

First guitar pedal I ever bought, still have it in great shape it's full of nostalgia for me. And also just found out about the cab modeler today.
Found the box too, was $79.99 with a $20 mail in rebate. Good deal!

Just bought one, love this thing! I don’t think I’m ever gonna have to buy another flanger again
Great demo. Thank you.
This was one of my first pedals and Im so pissed my mom sold it at a garage sale as a kid for like 3 bucks
Wow someone got a good deal.
You might still be able to find one cheap if you look around patiently.
It sounds nice and I like the different modes. Stereo output is welcome as well. Nice demo.
Adam Baldwin thanks! Yeah it has a lot of useful features.
This video convinced me to bid on the one for sale on Ebay Australia. Got it for $80 + $8pp. Very happy with the purchase. Cheers.
It’s a fun pedal. Hope you enjoy it.
It's cool. Just wish it had stereo-in. I am running it between a couple of delays.

that rise/fall mode is pretty cool
Great demo, great pedal. I'm buying one
I just bought a Turbo flange based on this video. And I always I thought I absolutely hated flanger!
Thijs Purnot I used to think that as well. A lot has changed! :)
Should have kept mine, nice demo
Thanks! Yeah probably. And at this point, it's not worth selling.
Nice review 🤟
I got it. I'm thinking if line 6 liqua flanger is better
This video is so so so good new subscriber here
You can get better chorus sounds with that if you turn the depth down more to 10 o'clock.
I like modulation effects with high depth and low rate, but I'll try that.

Aun venden este modelo?
Awesome Flanger pedal my friend.👍
Ty for the upload
Does anyone know the current draw? is it 300mA?
Yep. From the evidence presented, i agree
Do you have a demo from the Digitech Hyperphase?
Unfortunately not, I never had one of those
@@DoNoise Ohh, so i confused with the turbo flange video
How does this sound on bass ?
Can any of the knobs act as a wet/dry blend? Thanks for the great demo!
Kevin D'Abramo thanks!
No it doesn’t have a mix control.
No... Have to use it in a loop with A/B blend to get mix control...or use it in something like the Superego's FX loop to control mix...
Digitech definitely wears it's DOD association.

can i make it sound similar to chorus pedal, in certain setting?
Yes 05:24
This digitech sound like few songs in Siamaes dreams smashing pumpkins album

Still got mine :)
What kind of amp or distortion were you using?
I'm using a Line 6 HX Stomp for amp, cab, and drives. I don't remember which model I was using for the distorted part here, sorry.
What's the fuzz pedal?
I used one on my HX Stomp but I don’t remember which.
Sounds as good as the Polara
Overdrive pedal in the intro?
It’s one of the drives in Line 6 HX Stomp but I don’t remember which one.

what are the power specs? 100 ma? 300 ma?
Not sure but probably less than 100ma.

Are you sure that’s true? Even Source Audio pedals or a Zoom Multistomp don’t draw that much.
