I’ve said this before. This pedal is a boutique pedal killer. It may not measure up to expensive pedals with straight forward fx but as a creative box it’s better than many of these wild and crazy boxes that are selling for 300 or more.

A few years ago I played around with a used boutique vinyl simulator and I really loved it. The price for used was 500.00 US dollars, which was out of my budget and still would be. I can't believe you re-created that same style effect on the MS-70CDR. I'm using my CDR on a synth, but I'm gonna go get it and program that Vinyl patch you have created. My hats off to you sir. Thank you also for the detailed Imgur programming images as well.

It finally came to me! Chase Bliss Audio Warped Vinyl MKII was the pedal! Man I still can't believe you got that sound! You've essentially combined Warped Vinyl MKII, Walrus Audio Fathom and Walrus Audio Slo Multi Texture Reverb and more into one pedal.

Thanks for (still) sharing. I was surprised that the last comment a year ago was mine! Your video deserves more views. I lost my studio in a wild fire last September and with it 3 Zoom MS-70CDR units (which burned in the fire). I am going to rebuild my studio and house within the next few months and plan to get another unit. I went back to this video to remember how good the unit sounds and what it can do. It is going to be a minimalist studio with one synth, one Zoom MS-70CDR, and one EHX stereo looper at its heart.

@@DoNoise Just a small note, we are back in a house of our own again. A govt program plus savings, plus insurance, savings and donations got us in. I am rebuilding my studio and have it about half done. Thanks for your thoughts. I visited your video again and already got another Zoom 70CDR! One company that I had bought from before the fire had graciously gifted me a synth to replace the ones from them that I had lost. Hoping to link it up with the 70CDR soon.

I figured how to install. That wasn't too hard. The only criticism I'd give for the effects are that they some have a lag after strumming that makes timing kind of hard, if your trying to match up with a drum effects. But I basically just saved around $350 by not buying a new rev pedal(like a Strymon or Walrus) and just updating my zoom. Thanks Do Noise and Zoom!

    • @MrKeefelm
      @MrKeefelm Рік тому +3

@@Brendan-Black if you do the firmware update, you get an expanded amp and effects library. Some really nice studio and ambient verbs and delays. But you often find once you pair them up with an amp you quickly reach the units DSP limit and stops you adding any more effects to the chain. In theory it supports up to six simultaneous blocks/effects but with some combinations that is sometimes reduced to two or three.

I have the original version that came out years ago and I love it. But I found most of the patches are too overly saturated with effects all you got to do is tweak them down to get better note definition if that's what you're looking for. It actually would be cool to run your guitar into a splitter so you can have the bulk of the clean guitar signal that could still be modified with some effects going to its own channel and the other portion of the signal coming in behind it thru this pedal and even use a volume pedal to swell in the effect to add more versatility and control over your sound.

My go-to pedals for these are Source Audio Nemesis and Ventris at the moment. I also use other pedals for effects not available on the Multistomp like granular delay (Fabrikat, Particle), harmonic tremolo (Hydra, HX Stomp) etc.

If the random delay reverb is panning hard right and left, you will have a dead spot, but depending on panning percent, will eventually swing the other way. I have noticed with all my synthesizers, as well as my Fx processors this happening. I really like panning, it adds dimension to sound. Panning works very well with modulation effects as well! 🎹🎶😎

Howdy! Thank you very much for this video and the images of the patches! You obviously spent a ton of time on everything. Makes me realize that I've had the same effects in the same order on my Zoom for too long and I need to mix it up.
I love the super clean look of the output double right-angle connector cable thingie.
Question: what *is* that output cable?

      Hi,
      Thanks!
      Those are EBS Flat cables.

@@DoNoise Ah! Got it! There are still two cables... not one with two 1/4" jacks as I thought. Thank you again for the info and the speedy reply. Subbed.

I have two cables there but they look like one because of the angle.

Phenomenal as always! Also, is it just the angle the output cable is at, or is it plugged into both ports?

@@Jessafur Yeah I see it now. Flat cables + camera angle seems to make it look like that.

Very beautiful patches! Newbie question here but I keep wondering if MS50G can use all these patches, does that mean it is better to just buy MS50G? Or can MS70CDR also create overdrive sounds like MS50G? I mean because I’d like to try your patches with overdrive and all but only have enough money to buy either one. It’s my first time buying multistomp so I’m a bit clueless about these patches stuff. Thanks in advance and keep posting more cool stuff like this!

70CDR doesn’t have amps and drives, but it has stereo inputs. 50G has the amps and drives but it has mono input/stereo output. Other than that they’re the same. You can choose based on what you need or want.

The 70cdr actually can have drives. You can run any of the effects on either unit. If you hook it up to the computer you can pick and choose. It cant hold all of them but it can hold like 90% of them and you can remove some and add others later. So really the only difference is the cdr70 is stereo. this of course is assuming you have access to hook it up to a computer

I'd follow the settings shown on screen ie those components in that order then tweak to suit especially the EQ

Thank you sir, I'm really enjoying your work. The world is a better place with you in it. One question please, although all these beautiful patches work for the most part, the Theremin seems to have no effect. I used the web page to copy in all the text onto my MS-70 (with Ibanez Gio and Orange crush 35-RT set to Clean. It shows up fine but is completely silent. Surrounding effects work no problem, just this one has the bother. I deleted it and tried again, same result. Then I manually input the settings from your IMGUR page. Still no effect. Could you or any other musicians here please advise me? Very new to this. Thank you

Are you sure your unit is updated and is running the latest firmware? Maybe you’re missing some of the effects.
