Do you consider this a beginner motorcycle?
Sure, outside of the reach to the ground and being a hooligan machine. Now we send you off to try 690/700/701.
No
hell no
Nope. Too much hooligan for a beginner.
Not even if it’s in rain mode or whatever low power mode it has?
Welcome back Rembo. Semper Fi!
Thank you very much.
Nice video Rembo & awesome motorcycle, glad your feeling better and able to ride
Appreciate it!
You got the same reaction to the acceleration that I also felt on my review/test ride - literally just uploaded it 👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah, I really couldn’t believe the difference
Very cool bike. The only thing is being on your tippy toes are comfortable stop.
I just got the 2024 ktm 390 duke as a change of pace. Coming from 1000cc naked bikes. Am liking the 390 experience but to your comment it would be nice to have that 657cc engine in the 390!
I am not the only one apparently!
There was a svart/vitpilen 701 for you in addition to 690/700/701 supermotos, or an older 690 duke.
Be Irie motorcycle man, ✌.
I have the Husky 701SM its a hoot🤟
That is an awesome bike. Probably the top of the pecking order of days gone by. I rode one and loved it.
Sounds pretty kewl. $16k for a dirt bike is pretty hefty, but hopefully I'll see a few kids willing to risk debt to rip up some mountain twisties this summer.
Probably better to go with something a little cheaper to start with. Dropping that one could cost a few bucks.
It is a little on the expensive side, but it is the Ducati brand.
Eh, supermotos have dirt cheap plastic fairings and are meant to take a fall without much damage.
Price competitive with ktm690/husky/gasgas. Better electronics package but a little less raw and agressive. It has a place in the market
Hey Rembo, I can understand where Ducati wants to create this single cylinder engine platform. First the Hypermotard, then with racing their motocross bikes to create the next segment & eventually a dual sport sector that requires lightness & power for all terrain requirements.
Still, they’re expensive for being an individual element priced against KTM.
However, KTM aren’t stupid. They are going to China to manufacture their range of bikes to sell them cheaper leaving Ducati to produce them at the high priced end of the market.
Ducati will never compete with price. They are never competitive with any bike yet they sell a lot of them.
I’ve rode motocross for years and would like to have something like this to ride to work and play around on but $14k and having to tip toe I don’t think this would be the one beautiful bike though
May want to pull out that small plastic plug in the vent line behind your brake foot. Mine was left plugged to and causing my tank to pressurize . Instantly went away once I pulled it, also confirmed with dealer it should be removed
Good info. I will let the dealer know. This is a bike for sale at the dealership.
@@RemboUSMC almost every video I’ve come across the plug is still there so doing my best to help out any fellow owners🫡 Good review, I’m absolutely in love with mine.
Interesting. My dealer told me to leave mine in
Always find it funny watching Americans riding a bike that is built for twisty bends riding around on pure straight roads.
Yes, it sucks. This is why we do a lot of track days when you live in a place like Florida where you could ride 365 days per year in the warmth but need to go to a track in order to have fun in the twisties.
I live in Scotland which is the exact opposite. Miserable weather but twisty roads to die for.@@RemboUSMC
My thoughts as well-it’s a backroads bike-I have a 1993 Gilera Nordwest, it was allegedly the first factory built supermotard, 52bhp and 140kg-huge fun on the twisties and on a track like Cadwell Park. I have had some fun on it in Scotland as well-the road going East from Moffat to the loch springs to mind!
I think it could be ok for a beginner
Thanks for the input.
The synonym for this bike is called death. It's not for everyone. Very skittish bike.
I'm not sure what teenagers have $15,000 to spend on their first bike?
A lot of rich kids in Florida
@@RemboUSMC I have a question. Did you notice any fueling issues, such as surging or unsteady throttle response in first or second gear?
These bikes are so deceptive you look at them and think there slow but my friend they fly! 🪰
Yes they do
