A review on the awesome ducati hypermotard 698 mono PLEASE LIKE,SHARE AND SUBSCRIBE THANKS :) Kindly loaned by BOURNEMOUTH DUCATI ducati hypermotard review
Love Marks reviews - comprehensive, no fluff and no slip ups. Gives us an equal footing with each bike by keeping the format spot on. As for this bike - I'd love one! Price is out of my league so it'll have to wait. Glad I watched the vid though.
If you buy it, change the oil every 5000 miles. Forget what Ducati says, long intervals are just marketing, the only thing the suits care about is getting past the warranty period.
Another top quality review, thanks Mark ... One thing you do that other reviewers dont is to give us a height perspective vs seat height highly informative and entertaining
So happy that you reviewed this bike as I am very interested in it, and being the same height and inside leg as you, this was very useful for me ( i am a fair bit heavier than you though). I think I would go for the lowering kit and lower seat though for me, just for that extra piece of mind, but at least I can see that a test ride would be doable at standard height. Great review as always Mark, Cheers 🙂
G'day Mark, your a lucky bugger you get some fantastic Motorcycles too ride, good on you, review spot on my Son races bikes and that high rev whine sounds sweet, l have fallen in love with the machine it looks fun, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
Nice review Mark, were you wearing your platform boots, tbf you did well getting your leg over. I was curious what engine spares would cost for this, a piston kit is 1000 euros 😂
Hi trev I've tried the Husqvarna 701 which is much the same Very different to Ducati....the Ducati likes to rev and makes power from middle to high range ...the ktm has more grunt low down The Ducati has a premium electronics package .. Cheers mark
Are you sure it is too tall for you!? And as for Mark, he is my height, and weight. The bike is quite light at 160 kg, wet. It is easily managed with your left foot flat, and right foot on the rear brake. The low seat brings the height down to 889 mm. I had a DRZ 400 SM with seat height 890mm, quite manageable at wet weight of 145kg. I now have a SurRon Ultra bee, weight of 85 kg, but 910mm, very easy to manage with 30 inch inseam. It is all relevant, and depends if you really want to ride it. For extreme off road it would be more intimidating with higher seat heights, but for road and flat off road, not so much.
@@davidmallia628 to add, flat footing a bike isn’t necessary. Does Dani Pedrosa flat foot anything? I hold up a Multistrada with a passenger and luggage with one foot, or two tiptoes.
A supermoto should be all about bottom end grunt.Ducati has made a brilliant sports bike but it isn’t a great supermoto. It has sports bike characteristics
I'd rather trust a KTM single than a Ducati. If it's a 659, how do they get away with calling it a 698. Give me a Husqvarna 701SM any day. I like the performance low down the rev range.
11k mark bloody hell. Just a quick look on auto trader and 900+cc machines that are just a few years old are coming in around 11k and 5x the bike. Ducati really know how to price people out of bikes
superb machine as a single banger......nice machine for smal lroads and play time.....would be on my list as it was available for me....nice video mark!
Great post Mark. I have the competition, a Husky 701 a fantastic bike to own although it seems to eat tyres! 2000 mls a set! The quickshifter on the 701 has no external linkage, it works a dream, had to get rid of the cat exhaust, replaced with a Wings & fuel dongle, made a lot of difference . Must try the Ducati for comparison.
@@markpulling12Yes, but how is it different? You highlighted the difference in the torque coming at low revs on the Husky. But what is the feel of this in real life, and is there any other difference to note!?

Thanks I appreciate that 😊

Thanks for the update 😃
I did think 🤔 it's a little high especially for a high revving single
Cheers mark
Nah, 2500 miles if you really ride it and want it to last for some time
Motards .
we need more of em . love these bikes , so street cool .
Love those red and black wheels .
Yes, unfortunately, the Japanese have left the game!
Another top quality review, thanks Mark ... One thing you do that other reviewers dont is to give us a height perspective vs seat height highly informative and entertaining
Thanks Colin 😁 glad you enjoyed it 😁
One of the best reviewers on UA-cam, one of his clinched me buying my Honda.
Thanks Adrian....I really appreciate that 😊
A bonus to your very comprehensive reviews, to me, is the fact that you are exactly my weight and height.
Me too! When this popped up in my feed I imagined Mark climbing on with assistance of a beer crate😂. Tbf, he coped very well.
Think this bike is going to be a lot of fun. Pick mine up in two weeks got the RVE worth the extra few quid.

Many thanks 👍
Superb machine Mark,thanks!
They really need baby Monster with this engine
Great review; now you just need to find a kart track for complete motard testing😊

Cheers Neil 😄
We can tell you love it. I'd guess it's a selective market for this bike due to the type and price, sounds great, lots of laughs 🎉 😮xx
Hi Martine.....yes I'd say very selective;) :) xx
Nice review Mark, were you wearing your platform boots, tbf you did well getting your leg over. I was curious what engine spares would cost for this, a piston kit is 1000 euros 😂
£12,000!!! and it sure ain't pretty.😂
Anyone have opinions on how this thing would handle on light trails if you put some different tires on it
Great review mark smart looking piece of kit.
Thanks James awesome 👍
Did somebody spill red paint on the wheels?
Thanks Mark, great looker isn't she. Is that a 1 into 2 exhaust? You'll have to do a quick slot about your jacket - it really does look good 👌
Hi John yes 1 into 2 ...thanks yes it's a richa jacket 🧥
Cheers mark
It's all about the engine, and maybe , the badge....wealthy Hooligans only, need apply......
And how would you compare it to a KTM 690, or even a Yamaha mt09, since the MT09 is also renowned for its FUN factor!??
Hi the ktm 690 duke and mt09 are super fun naked bikes
The super moto bikes feel more like moto x bikes ... different kind of fun 😁
Cheers mark
Hi mark great review as usual, wondering if you have tested the ktm 690 smc and if so how do they compare?
Hi trev I've tried the Husqvarna 701 which is much the same
Very different to Ducati....the Ducati likes to rev and makes power from middle to high range ...the ktm has more grunt low down

I like it, but as with lots of this type of bike, too tall for me.
Too tall for me Mark!

Yes it's very different to husky or ktm smcr :)
But brilliant all the same

I think your right ... Maybe should have been a cafe racer style?
Looks expensive compared to ktm/ husquarna

Would love one of these “review guys” to go and buy it and then do content instead of one video that we all really know about 🤷🏾♂️
Like it,would never buy brand new tho. Will give it a year or two
Oh wow, this thing looks so much FUN, I've never ridden one but I'd lurve to try one!
Hi yes these are great fun 😊 thanks as always 😁

Yes they really are high price premium bikes eeek
