Boy lucky you didn’t get serious injuries when the gasket blew but in a long run it gave you the opportunity to fix all those issues and now that should be good for a very long time!😀🇨🇦
Just ordered that Jig from Just 8Ns. thanks for the tip Noticed that my Lift when in the lever is in the up position I have to move the big lever almost all the way to the top to get the lift to even start going up.. And it goes up vary slowly. when the little lever is in the down position it doesn't even work at all. Also noticed the oil in the gear /hydro case the oil is clear at first but after running it it becomes a slight milky texture.
Nice job. I have the same jig and got it from the same place. My instructions were not as detailed as yours though. I have mine all apart painting everything right now.
Yeah I’m hoping to use an Oliver 88 row crop I picked up a while ago. I have to replace the clutch and get the flywheel resurfaced. I Got a book and I am researching it now but hopefully can get that going for next season. I do like the ford 4000. I’ll Have to keep watching at the auctions😉 maybe I’ll find a nice one.
I love watching the 8n work

Definitely hot oil came flying out but thankfully ok. 😀

Oh nice 👍 that’s awesome 👏
Should have fixed it with flex tape. But nice job! Gonna have a fully restored 8n by the time your done!
Lol! It’s starting to feel that way. 😂
Steady diesel
Steddie breakdowns lately 😂
You should just go buy a Ford 4000 with independent pto and get rid of those 8n's. They're just glorified lawn mower is all they are.

@SteddieProjects an Oliver 88 is a good machine too. At least the 88 has independent pto. Pretty easy to work on too. My cousin has a super 88.
