I am in this commercial. I am second on the right is the camera sees us. I have been looking for this for years. There are a few more commercials I was in. This brings back so many memories.
How cool is it that you get to see yourself from that era with one of the greatest toys ever made. I had this toy,I can still hear the revving sound in my head as you turned the handle. I must have been like 7 or 8. How much were you paid for the commercial? You do have this genuine grin in the commercial,must have been unreal for you back then.

ah my favorite memories as a kid 6 years old playing with this toy with my brother in Las Vegas, NV..what a magical time! Thanks evel knievel...we used to joke and call him 'awful knoffel'...great times!!!!

Ideal was the best doll and toy company. Their dolls always did something, had a special thing that none of the other dolls on the market had. I owned a few Ideal dolls and miss those years.
A fantastic toy as a kid, that did exactly what was shown. But you did have to be light handed with the crank or the plastic cog teeth would skip, I wasn't. 😄
The part they're not showing you is all the skin scraped off your knuckles after winding it up for an hour or so...
