I can’t describe how awesome this is to hear. I remember listening to this record of my Dads when I was 5-6 and being absolutely captivated. Now I’m an adult and having the exact same reaction. You guys are incredible, thank you so much. You deserve all the love and praise you ever receive. TWRP❤️
I know right this is some classic sifi and music and they did it more then justice. I was talking along with it only the pace difference was felt with the soeach

You don't have to try to prove other people wrong by saying it's not hard to find. You may think that, but we may not. They literally said THEY have not heard any band like TWRP/NSP.

52 years old and remember buying this the day it came out. This version is utterly perfect. Hairs on the back of my neck, lump in my throat perfect. Meowch is a legend.

Oh yeah I been following these guys since I heard of em, seen em live a few times, was broke as fuck had only enough for a ticket for me and one of my buddies, I drank Dosaqu with lime and he arrived a song or two in, we both ate it all up, it was a night to remember

One of those things where I am someone who says don't touch the original, you can only ruin it. You guys made me take back those words. This funky version definitely slaps! That bass is epic.

My dad introduced me to the original when I was a kid and I fell in love. This cover has brought me so much joy and I got to see it live, albeit without Dan. Made me cry.

I have always been impressed by Danny's talent and skill at singing but he has been outdoing himself in recent years.

Dan's voice always gives me serotonin, no matter how I hear it. This is an amazing cover, and the instrumental is funky as always. :)
The original is one of my mom’s favorite albums and when I saw this I had to share it with her immediately. Simon has the exact same sense of gravitas and mystery as Richard's original and I love him as the narrator; the instrumentation, relying on the groovy bass and using the electric guitar on the refrain, improves on Wayne's original composition. We both loved dancing along to this, even in her old age--and with bellies full of thanksgiving turkey! I hope more comes soon…a version of Thunderchild would be divine!
This is one of my FAVORITE concept albums of the 70s. I grew up listening to this over and over with my dad, and this is an AMAZING thing to hear from 2 of my favorite artists!

I love how we've all had similar fond experiences. My dad used to listen to it while we cleaned house and I was TERRIFIED of it lmao (I was like 5 and thought Martians were terrifying). Now this album is such a fond memory for me, it really touched me to see others with the same experience
this song got me obsessed, i read the book from the library, absolutely amazing, i listened to the 1938 radio broadcast, incredible, and then finally the original Jeff Wayne album. all of it was an amazing experience, thank you TWRP for introducing me to this incredible genre-defining story

I remember listening to this as a kid with my dad and being absolutely terrified of the album art. To this day War of the Worlds is a favorite and I talk to my dad about this album every so often. Honestly never thought I'd like to hear a cover of it but here I am jamming out. I love it.

This is phenomenal and makes me reminiscent of shows long past like Star Blazers, Twilight Zone, And so on. The style is so perfectly replicated and yet wholly unique at the same time.

The chances of anything surpassing the Jeff Wayne's War of the worlds was a million to one.... and yet, they did.
Dan was a great alt for Justin Hayward, was a small kid in the 70's when this came out originally.
I was able to see both Jeff Wayne performing War of the Worlds with a live orchestra, and TWRP singing this among other songs, this very same year. Both in Manchester. Good Times had by all! Great song, great cover.
