I’ve had the immense luck of seeing her live in a small theatre, and words cannot describe my experience. I can only say that I was in tears most of the show
She’s just incredible, I saw Her live at La Poison Rouge in New York. I was in the first row , directly in front of her , maybe 4 feet away , I could see her fuzz on Her cheeks , needles to say it was a visceral experience ❤️
She is one of the best singers from Norway and she's been performing since 2006. Many of her songs are from personal experiences. Greetings from Norway ❤
I absolutely love her voice. And my body does too😅 One of my favourite songs are still The Brothel by Susanne
Mine too. If I have it on a playlist I can't move on to the next song after listening to it just one time. I have to listen to it again, and often even one more time.
indeed, this song is stunning!
If you haven't already, look up her performance of the brothel, live at la cigale. One of my favourite live performances ever.
Loved your reaction: "Where has she been all of my life?". The only other song I know, and love, by Susanne Sundfør, is "When the Lord". But as you've been told, the video is heartbreaking. It's about Lenne Marie Fossen- an amazing photographer, and a very special person, who died from severe anorexia. So some of the pictures are very hard to watch for sensitive people.
I believe Susanne Sundfør has written this song especially for the documentary about Lenne Marie. It's beautiful and easily can bring tears into your eyes.
What is going on in Norway?! All of these beautiful talents. 😱
@Meeka Monte Maybe Norway's going to be the new "America"?
@@ezwayocho8296 I really hope not
Music education *the arts may be #encouraged 🎼🎵
Quite a lot is going on Meeka. Free music education for every child who wish to try play an instrument or sing is probably a good start. If you care, check out my playlists named 'Nordic - something' to discover more talents.
Nils Bjarne Saltnes I most certainly will! The public school that I went to in NJ USA offered free music and chorus also! My mom rented a cheap clarinet for me until high school. She saved her pennies to buy me a nice wooden clarinet when I reached high school. Music taught me so much it’s priceless. I am loving Norway ❤️.
ANOTHER GIFT FROM SCANDANAVIA. AND A SIN THAT SHE IS PRETTY MUCH UNKNOWN beyond the boundaries of Europe. Can sing rings around 99% of the vocalists that people rave about. She is a vocal heart surgeon because her tone and phrasing cut a path to my heart-- every time she sings. So up to you my new friend whom I greatly respect to change all this injustice. Please!!
That was gorgeous! I have never heard of her before. Really, thanks for that! 🧡 worth some exploring.
She is one of the few singers that moves me to tears. She really has one of the most beautiful voices.
Susanne´s "When the Lord" is gonna hit you in the heart and soul. You´ll understand when you see the vid. Heartbreaking, but still beautiful.
Yes. I would recommend that too. It’s very emotional
@@centuriomacro9787 Echo that! When the Lord stops me in my tracks. Soul felt music.
I saw her play this live last month. Incredible.
So glad you liked the song and Susanne’s voice. This is the song I put first on my list, partially due to the way it’s constructed and builds. :) She wrote it after a meltdown, personally and creatively. Lots of great recommendations for other songs here, you should already have my list.
Hopefully my endless “Susanne, Susanne!” requests make sense now. Thanks as always for your reaction. 😊 And you mentioned _maybe_ having heard her before, long ago. Perhaps on the Oblivion soundtrack, collaborating with M83?
By the way, to simplify “guess the pronunciation” - here are two people saying her name correctly (before the 11 second mark)... 😁

and Adam hasnt come to Ane Brun yet =)
Today is the day ;)
@@AdamStraughan ohhh almost too much today, Susanne,Ane and Aurora
We are spoiled here in Norway, and the nordic countries as a whole, really. Alot of great swedish artists too. It is difficult to win over a norwegian/nordic audience, low numbers of populations, means In order to make it as an artist, to make a living of it, you need to reach the heart of a larger percentage of the population than in more populated areas/countries. So the quality of the music, the lyrics and the voice(s), and even the way they convey their music to the listeners, must be something truly special, and reach the heart of a multigenerational and multi-demographic audience and listeners. I think that is also why they get better and better recognition from international audience as well, from all age groups, now that it is much easier to spread/share great music talents with the whole world through social media :)
I have recommended songs by Susanne Sundfør before, but I'll repeat myself, because I think she's great. I had the pleasure of watching her live at the start of my studies back in 2007, which coincidentally was also at the beginning of her career. In all the excitement of a new environment, new people, and new teachers, her voice held me fast, and wouldn't let go until she stopped singing. She writes her own lyrics, and they are quite deep. I especially love these songs, which range from synth-pop to folk and alternative: "The brothel", " White Foxes", "Fade away", " When the lord" (documentary soundtrack), "Never ever" and "Running to the sea" (the last two in collaboration with Röyksopp).
Thank you for these! I'll be sure to check them out :)
The brothel is soul shakingly good
@@maStiArsenal I agree
Wholeheartedly agreed. I started with _The Brothel_ album. She earned a lifelong place in my brain and heart. And all her work since then has only solidified that influence.
She is probably a top 3 artist for me and my life's soundtrack if I had to pick something like that.
@@tantalus_complex I don't know how other people think when they find their favourite artists. Personally I start with the voice and the sound. Then the lyrics come into play, and finally I can appreciate the whole of the artistry and ingenuity. So what I mean is that it's the soul and personality of the voice that first captures me as a listener. Hearing her live actually shook me, because her voice was so wonderful, strong and imbued with feeling. I've heard many great singers since, but she retained a place in my memory of greatest musical experiences.
If you want more of a challenge, you should try her collaboration with John Grant, "Mountaineers". It's his mesmerizing voice all the way to just after the two minute mark, but when her voice _does_ kick in, woah mama!! ❤ You'll never be the same when it's finished.
This. For me this song is a middle finger to a certain man in a white house. Its another masterclass.
john grant is such a lovely gentle man, his music soooo nice!
My two favourite artists
I agree , sooo moving …
Susanne’s voice gets me every time. The first song I ever heard from her was The Brothel (you should definitely check it out), it haunted me for years and is still one of my favorite songs. I’d also recommend Delirious and White Foxes, especially the live versions.
That performance of the brothel, live at la cigale is just something else. Ethereal performance and a tonic for the soul.
ua-cam.com/video/plikjySlGd8/v-deo.html
Memorial by SS is my favorite song to go to sleep to.... PS 10 minutes long and a good bit of it is just her playing a piano together with a symhony orcestra, but it takes me far away every time...
Susanne has a wonderful voice. Happy that you found her. I have listen her performance at the proms many times, also her collaboration with Royksopp.
ua-cam.com/video/05GPiKPylHY/v-deo.html
She also participated in the Oblivion Soundtrack. Really great collaboration with her and M83
Great reaction. Nice to hear you enjoy norwegian music. Here is another one worth looking into - "Sigrid - Dynamite (Acoustic Live)"
Hi Adam, yes, another Norwegian female artist to explorer.
Not very known outside Norway I think, except for a fanbase. She writes everything herself, plays the piano etc.
Fun fact: She cowrote and sang the title track for 2013 sci-fi movie Oblivion, with Tom Cruise.
Thanks for the reaction, looking forward for more!
(P.s. Still waiting for Auroras psychedelical/rock version of Running with the wolves, Somewhere else festival, I think you will like to see yet another side of her)
That song _Oblivion_ with M83 is phenomenal. The life performance in her US late night television debut was another amazing display of talent.
I really like the brothel : ua-cam.com/video/1SQDguRIeks/v-deo.html and her collab with Røyksopp in Running to the Sea ua-cam.com/video/AMlJ78-7rZ4/v-deo.html or White Foxes in this live preformance ua-cam.com/video/kK9PLF9ACKo/v-deo.html
My favorite songs of Susanne Sundfør
White Foxes
The Silicone Veil
Your Prelude
ten love songs (album) (all tracks except insects)
You should react to her live performance of «The Brothel» ua-cam.com/video/6uCGRn2zPtk/v-deo.html 😄
Omg first Aurora and now Susanne! this is making me really happy, Susanne is sooo underated and extremely talanted . You have to listen to darlings, slowly and white foxes :)
She is brilliant and she is actualy well known down in Europe, in this video you will see the diversaty of Susanne, it is "Accelerate" and "Fade away" from a festival in Norway 2015: ua-cam.com/video/wDkO0LuMU08/v-deo.html

First time i came across her was in 2007 ..i was mindblown I've seen her live 4 times , phenomenal live artist
Now, as I've only just found your channel I don't know if you're familiar with this incredible lady, she's from the Faroe Islands, there must be something in the Scandinavian water that's producing these incredible female singers. Anyway, watch this (it takes a little while to get going but trust me you'll thank me after), and check out the final note she sings, you won't believe your ears ua-cam.com/video/KNPIdGBn7M4/v-deo.html
Yessss, thanks for picking up on this suggestion. Susanne is by many considered the godmother of the new generation of young strong female singer/songwriters from Norway, such as Aurora and Sigrid. Susanne touches many genres, and as a suggestion I personally really like the live version of "White foxes" from the Nobel concert in 2012 ua-cam.com/video/kK9PLF9ACKo/v-deo.html. And - if you like Depeche Mode, she did what i consider the best cover of "Ice machine" ua-cam.com/video/hFPlGDKgiYc/v-deo.html version ever together with Røyksopp. By the way - since you asked, ø (o with a slash) is pronounced exactly like the I in BIRD :)
and....if you ever saw Tom Cruise's "Oblivion", you might remember this one.......ua-cam.com/video/UjpbQ1OWMPE/v-deo.html
She sort of sparked the new age of Norways female songwriter/singers. Your point to Eva Cassidy is very good. Someone who doesnt use more than is nessesary in the moment. Love from Norway Adam.
Any other Norwegian singers that are like her?
@@andreas956 Nope. :). No other singer like her anywhere. Edit: Well, if it comes to quality of song writing then Aurora comes to mind. I think she is the best songwriter/poet of the whole bunch.
Hello Adam! So many and so little time ;-) Love Susannes her tone. Her comes another Norwegian singer (hope you are not fed up with Norwegian yet. Her name is Ina wroldsen - St.Peter ua-cam.com/video/8ok4LIIfPdA/v-deo.html Her voice is little different than the other singer from Norway more straithforward and raw folk song. In this song she sing so strong that it penitrate my soul. You know Adam that i am a sucker for sad and tragic songs. It could be a nagger ;-)
What a pleasant surprise to see you react to Susanne Sundför. Thank you so much. One of Norways most incredible artists, writing lyrics, playing the piano/keyboard and singing with an outerworldly beautiful voice. Please check out her songs: Darlings, When the Lord, White Foxes, The Brothel, Fade Away, Slowly, Silencer, The Sound of War (maybe not for reaction, but a must listen).
You can't listen to Fade Away without Accelerate because of the actual best transition in music between the two songs. She performed them live in the correct order at Oya if you prefer the live versions. I discovered her through M83 and Royksopp and then went from there, what a fantastic discovery, and why is she not more popular?!
Beautiful 💕 Her name's pronounced Susanneh Sundfur. The ø sounds like the ea in learn, or the u in fur, or the i in stir if that makes sense.
It does! Thank you!
Beautiful culture and ppl..thanks for the tip.
2 more suggestions for you Adam. My opinion the best norwegian singer is Ingrid Helene from the band Highasakite. Check out this amazing song with a really nice instrumentation: ua-cam.com/video/mkfBkRNoXQw/v-deo.html
The other performer you should check out is Emilie Nicolas especially this performance. ua-cam.com/video/ONcndBmSwyI/v-deo.html Norwegian female singers are on fire these days :)
Yes! Love her, love this song, love you for doing it 😊
Edit: I think Whites Foxes is a must listen, but I think the recorded version is probably best to listen to first, it's very different to this one 😊
Susanne Sundfør has character and makes extraordinary good music!
Some of my favourites of her:

Funny concert in the office of the NRK (Norwegian BBC...)

You should check out Emilie nikolas-feel fine
Second that
Yes! It brings me to tears. Such a pure voice and very personal..
André Eriksen Yes, definately. It was one of the female Norwegian artists I suggested to Adam with Susanne, Maria Mena, Ina Wroldsen, Dagny etc. Have you heard Emilie Hollow? She is amazing too. Love this song/performance from her ua-cam.com/video/LqHN94mmE0Q/v-deo.html
@@In_my_own_mind yes, so many talented Norwegian artist these days.
Or why not the first two songs from her Royal Albert Home concert, "Outro" and "Tsunami". Or from Live P3 Gull 2020, "Who' s Gonna Love You", together with Isah. Or "Oh, Love".
She is an incredible song writer, have a gorgeous voice, a wonderful presence and performs her songs with so much emotions and integrity. To call an album "music for People in Trouble" speaks volumes 🥰 She was recently involved in a documentary about Lene Marie Fossen called "Self Portrait". Lene was a talented photographer who suffered from anorexia from a very young age. Susanne made the soundtrack, and you should listen to "When The Lord". The video is very emotional and heartbreaking, but also very powerful and beautiful ❤️
There is something in the water in Norway🇧🇻......Angelina, Aurora and Susanne🥰
And Highasakite ua-cam.com/video/HFTNeTwzEkQ/v-deo.html
we have VOSS water as tap water :-)
Röyksopp - Running To The Sea feat. Susanne Sundfør
ua-cam.com/video/AMlJ78-7rZ4/v-deo.html
Susanne's is my favorite voice in the world. So glad I discovered her through Royksopp with the song "Running to the sea"- when I heard her voice for the first time over that piano tune, well, that was as good as introduction to one of the most amazing voices ever as any. Her voice is incredibly warm, comfortable and at the same time haunting and hurting. Some of her songs (especially "When the Lord" and "Brothel") feel like an angel shifting your internal organs. Greetings to Norway from Ukraine! You've got a gem right there!
Another norwegian gem🥰 listen to her new song when The lord or The brothel 😃thanks for the reaction Adam good as always🌞😊
I was in the audience at this concert. This is also my favourite song by Susanne. You know how I felt :D
Hello do you know where can I watch the full concert?
Susanne's "Ten Love Songs" was one of my favourite albums of 2015. Lots of great stuff on there. And you really should check out her collaboration with fellow Norwegians Röyksopp! They did a brilliant cover of what might be the most obscure Depeche Mode song you could imagine, "Ice Machine", which was the b-side of their very first single "Dreaming Of Me" back in 1981. Love the original, but this is one of those cases when the cover is actually better. ua-cam.com/video/hFPlGDKgiYc/v-deo.html
i got so excited when i saw you post this!!!!!! FINALLY someone to react to this amazing and unique singer/songwriter! thank you! you should see so so soooo much more of her! and her best work is live, i had 'the brother' on repeat when i heard it the first time ua-cam.com/video/1SQDguRIeks/v-deo.html the quality is not the best on this one, but it is the first time i ever heard her and it stuck with me ever since and her magic has filled my life
I've been loving her since 2015 for the Oblivion movie where she sings the ending credits song with the same name, I fell in love with her then. All her albums are special and magical, she is at the top of my favorite artists. My fav songs from her are Moments, Dear John (1st album), It's all gone tomorrow (2nd album), The silicone veil, Your prelude, White foxes, Rome (3rd album), Fade Away, Memorial, Delirious (4th album), Undercover, The golden age (5th album) and her collaborations with Royksöpp are pretty good too.
This song is from "music for people in trouble" - Why not react to the whole recording ? The girl is creating art
Fade away is my favorite.
What a wonder how there are so many good singers in Norway?!😱🇳🇴 Susanne sounds a bit like a mix of Iris and Moyka, they too are Norwegian singers!😅 Susanne’s voice is really beautiful too!❤️
Norway got so many great artist. Check out a song called "my thieving heart" by Sivert Høyem and Marie Munroe. 😎
Please listen to When the Lord. Heart breaking and amazing at the same time
I found Susanne before I found Aurora. And I adore them both. You should give Memorial by her a listen
Also check out her song with M83 on the Oblivion original soundtrack. Love your reactions to our Norwegian national treasures!
It is easy to forget Susanne in the shadow of Aurora and Angelina, but she has been around for some time and she really deserves credit for her songs and performances. Great artist, and please react to more of her material!
I agree, but can’t see that Jordan is in that company??? Does she write music- it’s only cover, isn’t it? Aurora and Susann is artist that makes music 🙏❤️
Heidi Farstad Kvalheim Angelina Jordan is an artist in her own right, mostly covering artists within different genres with her own interpretations. Still being a child she has been a professional since she was 8 years old. At this age her musical understanding, her vocals and interpretations of songs have gained her an enormous international publicity. Even Aurora has made covers of other artists songs - with her personal interpretations. And by the way: Angelina has also made original music: check out Shield and Oslo. In my opinion Aurora, Angelina and Susanne are all artists making music!
@@heidifarstadkvalheim4952 I disagree. Angelina has her own songs, but her covers are often rearranged a lot, and she are a true artist on her own.
Ex. Who has made "Bohemian rapsody" and "I put a spell on you" like her versions? That's make a true artist.
But yes. Susanne Sundfør is one of the best norwegian artists. Along with Aurora, Angelina Jordan, Ane Brun, Madrugada/Sivert Høyem, etc.
Korea has K-pop, but I'm thinking Norwegian pop (N-pop?) is really strong for the moment.
Heidi Farstad Kvalheim , you will hopefully discover more about Angelina, she does write her own music as well, although, due to her young age, most of her performances are covers. But those vocals of hers are above most you can find. She’s gonna be a level superstar no Norwegian ever reached before.
Omg!!! You really spot on!!! I love that song so much, please react to WHEN THE LORD by her. And another reaction could be NEXT TIME by Harry's Gym.
Her "ten love songs" album is an experience of its own! strongly recommend it!
I have loved her forever, from her first songs. She was just a legend from the start tbh. I this is your taste, then i envy your journey through her music. You are in for a good one. Memorial is a profound body of work. So much enjoyment for an advanced listener.
Great channel! :)
The Knife. And songs from that group:
Marble House (live)
Heartbeats (vid)
Got 2 let U (Deep Cuts 12)
Silent Shout (live)
Susanne is an amazing artist. My dad introduced me to her in 2012. Been addicted since and have seen her live a few times. She is really prolific having released 6 studio albums and she composes and writes almost everything herself. Can strongly recommend almost all of her songs but three favourites, "The Brothel" (tile song form 2010 album, she once preformed it in a church in my home town magical and kinda ironic), "the silicone veil" (another title song and my first introduction to her), and "the sounds of war" is just such a statement from the first seconds of the song.
Her masterpiece "White foxes" 8 years ago is worth a listen: ua-cam.com/video/MCIaj-oLi28/v-deo.html
Im so glad You liked Susanne. :-) a tip for the next song with Susanne: "the brothel" (live at Cigale)
that was the first Song i heard with her and i felles in love with the artist. She have so many good songs.
Hope You can react to "the brothel" :-)
That was gorgeous... very intimate...
Please listen to Maraton with
Blood Music 💙
And of course Aurora with Stjernestøv ♡☆
Thank you Adam
Have a safe and healthy New Year ☆
Some of my favorits White Foxes The MV or/and Live at Nobel Peace Prize Concert
The Brothel
Mountaineers (featuring John Grant)
No One Believes In Love Anymore
You should check out Emilie Nicolas, another Norwegian singer who’s just up there with Susanne. You’ll love it I guarantee it x
Yes; definitely react to more Susanne Sundfør! "When the lord" has already been recommended, and that is a masterpiece, but also hard to watch. If you want to check out a more "pop-ish" song I recommend the soundtrack to the movie "Oblivion" which she does together with M83; it is a faboulous live performance; ua-cam.com/video/05GPiKPylHY/v-deo.html.
There is a lot of great scandinavian singers/bands that do not reach the masses beyond scandinavia. I love Susanne Sundfør, and also Aurora and Angelina Jordan that you have reacted to. By the way Angelina Jordan just signed with Republic Records. So we will probably get more orginals from her:-) (musicnorway.no/news/industry-talk-michael-astar/)
You should also listen to the danish singer Agnes Obel. (ua-cam.com/channels/23qupoDRn9YOAVzeoxjOQA.html). My favorites from her at the moment is the song 'Island of doom' and 'Camera's Rolling'.
Wow indeed! That was amazing. How have I never heard of her? And those lyrics! Thank you and thank whomever suggested this.
Susanne Sundfør is a well known Norwegian singer. When I hear these beautiful artists, it makes me proud to be a Norwegian 🥰. I really love listening to your reactions ☺️
I think you can say Susanne was the international door opener for the famous Norwegian west coast girls today.
Also listen to her beutiful The Brothel
ua-cam.com/video/OgAMh7s-q_k/v-deo.html
my first time hearing her as well! to whoever suggested this video, a massive thank you! She's amazing
Her own dark song "The Brothel" ua-cam.com/video/MTz1aGXL41c/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/VF9oi1iGpSc/v-deo.html her version of Dylans "Masters of War" when she was really young. Time will show this girls importance. Her entire cd "music for people in trouble" is out on youtube witout commercials - You might react to it. And this one ua-cam.com/video/z2dG1cXM9rg/v-deo.html Running to the sea is about the terror at Utøya.
I found her by accident 13 years ago when I was doing music discovery by typing random phrases into a music service and briefly listening to clips.
Turkish Delight sucked me in immediately and she rocketed to the top of my favorites immediately upon hearing the rest of _The Brothel_ album.
Susanne Sundør and Eivør are forever wired into how I process pain and grief.
So from the midwest United States, I wave and close my eyes to listen along with you.
That album really is something special, I live in Oslo and went to a Christmas choral concert in the small mausoleum where the vocals for it was recorded, the acoustics in there is absolutely mindblowing, it has a five second resonance! And the whole place is covered in a huge fresco by the artist it was built for. Check it out if you're interested, Emmanuel Vigelands Museum.
Finally someone reacts to Susanne! She is fantastic! My number one artist in the later years. And she is fantastic live! Both solo and with her amazing band. She also produces her own albums, so she is really talented and versatile. From the acoustic pianobased tunes to the superenergic electronica you can dance to. Every album is a masterpiece. I recommened watching(and reacting) to her live performance of White foxes from the Nobel concert in Oslo, Oblivion live with M83, Running to the sea with Røyksopp(live of course), When the lord musicvideo that she made for a documentary about her friend, a very famous norwegian photografer who lost her battle with anorexia. The imagery combined with her voice is absolutely haunting. I love your reactions! Hugs from Norway
If you are a fan of her vocalizing - Her last minute of Nils Petter Molvaers "Baboon Moon" is kind of an answer to his trumpet - magic
My suggestion. one of my favorite live performance of one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite album. Susanne Sundfør - Delirious Live on Skavlan | SVT/NRK/Skavlan
What to react to next? Susanne together with Røyksopp: ua-cam.com/video/AMlJ78-7rZ4/v-deo.html - Running to the Sea,
or film score with M83 performed live on a US talkshow: ua-cam.com/video/05GPiKPylHY/v-deo.html or official vid: ua-cam.com/video/UjpbQ1OWMPE/v-deo.html
A pure quality artist from the top level among musicians / vocalists !!!!
PLEASE WATCH THE VERSION FROM THE OSLO OPERA HOUSE WITH 50 PIECE ORCHESTRA, IT WILL LEAVE YOU IN RIVER OF TEARS
Thank you so much for reacting to Susanne! She is criminally underrated..
Studio version is stunning too, you'll appreciate incredible backing vocals.❤️❤️
I look forwar to it :)
You should really listen to When the lord! And many more songs of her! Do you also know Hannah Grace?
I've been a fan of Susanne for a long time and recently I saw some reactions, wich is great to give her more attention, the only thing I don't know is why it take so long, anyways her live performances are almost always stunning, my favorite songs are:
Kamikaze
The silicone veil
White foxes
It's all gone tomorrow
When the Lord
Btw, listening to your comments is sooo soothing, love your voice!
Nina Sørum Thank you so much! 😁😁
Adam Straughan No, thank you. :)
As you might have guessed from my other comment, I'm from Norway, so if you have any questions regarding Norwegian pronounciation, or anything else specific to Norway, just let me know. I'm on your discord as well. :)
I love Sussane Sundfør , I love you to reacting more from here :)
Surprised that you hadn't known about her ... and yes you're right , it's impossible to avoid the teardrops when you are at her concerts . Every single song of hers is mindblowing. But try listen to her collaborations with M83 (oblivion, the kids) and Röyksopp (Running to the sea and more) . You won't be disappointed.
You should listen to her singing "Running to th sea" with Røyksopp, and the Oblivion soundtrack with M83. Fantastic stuff. Here are a couple of links for live performances: ua-cam.com/video/AMlJ78-7rZ4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/05GPiKPylHY/v-deo.html
Tank you 🙏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️💐. Love Aurora and she stands on the shoulders off Susann Sundfør - also a west coast Norwegian musican. She also makes her music- a slightly darker musician. Love your reaction- it’s all in your eyes 🤗👍. Stay safe from Bergen Norway 🇳🇴..... and also try “ When the Lord” ( film music). And you pronounce her name just fine!
You should listen to Susanne Sundførd - Oblivion
This was the song that set Susanne Sundfor off and made her known to the world: ua-cam.com/video/05GPiKPylHY/v-deo.html
She buddied up with M83 for the soundtrack of Oblivion. She is highly talented and you should listen to her latest album on her youtube channel.
Yes, Ane Brun up next! You already have reacted a bit to her with a "What a voice..." in your Aurora Haik reaction.
The lady playing the piano is canadian Megan Kovacs . She is one part of the duo named Bow to each other . Susanne produced their first album in 2014 . Nice to know and maybe worth a listen
Ooh, now you've gone and done it! Tons of gorgeous music to dig up here. I second the recommendation of "When the Lord" as something truly beautiful and quite new from her. Pretty much anything by her is great, so you can't go much wrong. Try "Darlings". A very short, but heavenly, angelic composition that just soars and soars... and ends. She also has quite poppy songs, with good melodies.
Darlings is perfect. Tune, vocals, lyrics, all heartbreaking, then as it's building up to some epic crescendo, it just ends, as you say. Which somehow captures the soul destroying kind of anticlimax the song describes perfectly. Then it breaks into the emotional frenzy of the rest of Ten Love Songs.
oh my god you did it YESSSSS
Aurora does a cover of believer by Imagine Dragons. Something really special to listen to. Hope you enjoy it
I’ve already reacted to it ua-cam.com/video/Y5us8F0OXNQ/v-deo.html
Liked your comments, Susanne is a great singer/songwriter. Since you are in to norwegian female singers (Aurora, Angelina and now Susanne) you should listen to Ingebjørg Bratland. She is singing in norwegian but has a way of singing that comes from tradisjonal singing and she has a voice of en angel. She is writing her own music but I recomand "fordi jeg elsker deg" a translated cower of Dylans "make you feel my love".
Btw, since you asked, the ø in Sundfør is pronounced exactly like the I in BIRD :)
PERFECT! Thank you! :)
Emilie Nicolas - Feel fine
Thank you so much for reacting to this!! Susanne is so underrated!!!
MOOOOOOORE!!
Another great reaction Adam, and yet again from one of my favourite artists
Dig deep in her live performances and you will be totally astonished... She's one of the best ones of her trade...
I'm not surprised, she is amazing.
