Probably best to keep the max width modulation to 50%. That’s fine it just makes it last longer between charges, and gives you a safety margin for the PWM motor
I got a larger motor which required me to drill a larger hole in the gear it came with so it would fit on my motor. I only run it at 70% power at most because the battery shuts down due to a built in safety mechanism if I give it too much power!

Here is the motors I had to replace because the OG ones got burned out with the PWM. amzn.to/4ar2QFk To attach the gear from the old to the new one, you need to drill out a bigger hole in the gear. Big pain unless you have a drill press. Good luck!
I was thinking the same thing.... I didn't order anything on Amazon I took an old drill and took it apart, identified the wires for the battery connector and removed them from the mini "computer board" and marked the handle past where the piece is and cut it.... Put the mechanism back in the part I cut off and connected to the wires for the old battery connector that I clipped....... And a 4ah 18v in high cooks this car..... I came looking to see how much faster it would be if I used my 40v chainsaw battery and after seeing it I'm like " fk that she's already spinning wheels in turns that looks slower" I wonder why it's that way if you're adding almost 3x the volts?
I would Definitely like to know how you did this and need instructions

Have you had issues with this setup kicking the battery into safety mode and shutting down power completely until reset?

I am as well. The only way I was able to fix that was to add the speed controller and I can't increase the speed more than about 70%.

@@TNTBAtry it with a Flex tools 24v battery. The 10ah ones put out over 2500 watts. 🫣
