- This video will show you how to make 3 hazard tiles for dungeons and dragons. A quick, fun, and easy build that can be used in any dungeon crawl for games such as Dungeons and Dragons. I'll show you how to create a lava tile, pond with a crocodile, and a pit with log posts you need to jump on to get across. This is a great addition to any tabletop terrain tile set!

Prayers for your nephew and your family ... I hope for a speedy recovery and thank you so much for the insipration
Thank you Kim, I really appreciate that. I’ll pass that along as well. I’m glad you liked the video :)
Was all ready to go w/ a Crocodile Rock pun, til the 4th of July tale. Here's wishing your nephew and sister well. Tell Ben we're all thinking of him and to get better soon. 🤘
We can always use the humor… you of all people know that :). I’ll pass that along to the both of them 👍
I'm glad to hear your nephew is recovering, hope it goes fast! And I hope you and your entire family are all safe and sound now!
Thank you! Yes, he is doing very well. I'll pass that along to my sister.
Bursts of color, rockin.
Oh yeah!
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I hope he makes a speedy recovery. (Great video of course!)
Thank you Preston... I appreciate that.
What a simple yet effective build! You’ll be able to get so much use from those tiles. Thanks for sharing. Stay strong John.
Thanks! Yeah, I can't wait to use these tiles! I have a ton of ideas for this series.
Hang in there Ben! Hope for a speedy recovery! You have a great family there!
Thank you Joe! I’ll pass that along :)
Here's to wishing your nephew a full recovery! I have three kids, it is a constant struggle to remain vigilant in all that they do and to keep them safe from 'hazards'! Prayers always heal!
Thank you very much... I really appreciate that!
Praying for a quick recovery for your nephew! Wow. Scary. I have a 4.5 yr old daughter and I could not imagine going through something like that. Thanks for sharing the story to keep people aware of how things can change in an instant. 🙏🏻
Thank you Mass Collector !
Please, please more hazard tiles! Make this a regular series!
I think I will :)
The logs reminded me instantly of The Golden Child!
YES!!! That was my inspiration! Well done Juston.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT such a great movie!
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT also sending good vibes to your lil dude kin!
@@justonsvoid Thank you 🙏
"There's no ground here!?!?!?"
I wish him all the best, and a speedy and total recovery!
Your tiles look great, John. I really like the floating rocks, and think you made a great call with the modular crocagator
Thank you ! Yeah I can’t wait to toss him in the sewers!
Jeez John...I hope Ben continues to do well and wish you and your family well. Great thinking to throw him in the lake! All my best!
Thank you Patty. I'll pass along the kind words to Ben and my sister.
I'm sorry to hear about your nephew. Glad he's going to be ok. Thank you for putting the good word out there.
Thank you Christopher.
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT With Pleasure. Keep up the good work.
What a great, simple way to add some fun tiles. I could also see some texturing effects for the printed images as a potential upgrade but overall these are done very well. Also, fire is definitely not a toy, and I hope he makes a recovery soon.
Thank you! Yes a great idea to texture the images. I mention that in a way at the end. I wanted to add that Vallejo Water Texture over the croc and the tile, but opted out of that at the last minute.
Glad to see another video, John! Looks super amazing as always! Wishing and hoping your nephew makes a full and speedy recovery!
Thank you Nisha :)
Wishing your nephew a speedy recovery man. Take care.
Thank you Karl!
Fabulous tile ideas! I like the art work and the high risers. These would make a great addition to anyone’s dungeon tiles. Great idea and idea!
Thank you Scott :) !
I wish him a speedy recovery!
Thank you!
Hope the kid makes a full recovery 🙏, fires can leave some nasty scar, but if they are pretty young they hopefully will bounce back quick.
Thank you. He’s doing really well right now. Day by day.
holy crap! scary. Hope he makes a quick and full recovery.
Thank you Clay. He has a doctor apt later today. Fingers crossed.
Amazing stuff as usual John! Love it! I love so much that you're still crafting dungeon tiles in unique ways that inspire so many other ideas. Great stuff!!
Thank you Perry! I love to inspire :)
Sorry to hear about your nephew prayers brother!! Once again very cool tiles I’m surprised you didn’t put the flickering light effect in the lava👍
Thank you Jeff....Lights would be nice... in the future of course :)
Glad he's ok. You're absolutly right, things can happen so quick it can make your head spin. And awesome video btw. keep up the fantastic work bud! :)
Thank you Camaron! I appreciate that :)
Hoping for a speedy recovery for your nephew.
Thank you BGD.
always remember an old show called trap door and the creatures where told never open that trap door. A tile where something is trying to sneak out of the trap door and grab someone would be fun to see
I'll have to check that out! I haven't heard of it.
Very cool bud. Another idea for some of those boulders is a magical floating wobbly version. Rather than flight pegs, maybe springs from a click pen?
I like it!! Thanks.
Dude I know first hand the hazards of fire travesties. I lost both a cousin and nephew in a camp / forest fire. I am so glad Big Ben is doing better.
Now a suggestion in his honor. I know it normally won't fit the D&D Genre but here goes. Try modeling a Life Flight Chopper. Not as a hazard tile. But as a reward /escape tile. Players could strive for the rewards protection, escape to another land or plateau, experience team separation, or just miss the lifeboat entirely.
I have forgotten what these areas were called however a few years back we went cliff diving into a cavern with a deep pool or lagoon in the center. To get out we had to swim through an underground river or wait for a chopper to return and hoist us out. I swam and missed the chopper ride. Damn it.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin and nephew. Man that's some story. You need to know your stuff for an adventure like that. Your heli idea has given me an idea ... :)
Maaaan!! You got some great ideas!! Great work!!
Appreciate it! Thanks!
Sending love to your nephew, and family
Thank you Zane :)
Merci pour cette vidéo et j’espère que ton neveu n’aura pas trop de cicatrices. For your next tile what about a swamp in the jungle and a crocodile 🐊 ?
Merci. Il va bien. C'est une excellente idée pour la prochaine tuile!
Really great video John. Although I was a little disappointed with the lava! I was hoping for a poured resin lava instead of graphics lava! I haven't been able to find anybody that has done lave using resin. And BTW how is your nephew? It's been almost a year and if you ever gave an update I haven't seen it. Hope everything went ok and there were no complications!
Thanks Frank, he's doing very well. I'll pass that along. As for the lava, check out my Karampus Video!!
awesome job! I love those
Thanks you :) !!
He lives!
Oh I'm not going anywhere :) Life is absolutely crazy for me right now. Big things on the horizon !!
thoughts and prayers to you and your nephew.
Thank you, I'll pass that along to my sister.
Lunchtime video for me!
Hey Eric... enjoy!
I used to draw stick man dungeons too... mostly during lessons!
Awesome... me too haha
Watching this i was thinking....man he really needs to trim that candle wick lol.
I know I do haha.
Very nice. How about a floor filled with electricity?
Thanks, and that’s an awesome idea!
You are welcome. Can't wait to see you pull it off.
Thoughts and prayers with Ben.
Thank you Tommy!
Would it be possible to add some clear drying glue to the lava/water for a bit of texture? or would that ruin the paper beneath?
Hi George, you could try that for sure. I don't think it would be an issue. I was going to add some blue water texture by Vallejo, but opted out at the last minute... for the water of course :)
"Pushed himself into the campfire" and "Life-lifted"... these are not things a parent or child ever wishes to hear or say! As your on-line community, we place our hearts & minds to your entire family, and hope for a FULL recovery!!!
Thank you Mark, I really appreciate that.
well said you speak for all of us.
@@josray2557 My articulation is an ability of little importance... I merely said what we all hope and feel. The person trying to be a hero and will be... Is in a hospital bed recovering.
The lava rock also needs a bit of yellows and reds from the underside in order to give it the hot look, they look a bit out of place there.
A good idea.
Cool work 👍👍
Thank you.
I think the lava rocks I would add glue and paint it like lava spurting up.
A very cool idea !
I should try doing one with toxic sludge
Awesome idea :)
Since the dire croc is metal, it would be appropriate to paint him in the 'eavy metal style while listening to Manowar.
It totally would be 🤘
Yessssss
:)
Immediately like)
Right on! Thanks!
Excelente
Thank you!!
Is “pressboard” the same as MDF?
Its a really thick MDF :)
what kind of foam are you using?
XPS
What is captain hook is going on here
:) good one!
It's trap tastic.
haha... Thanks !
I misheard it when you said "Sharpie marker." I thought you said "Shark Week marker," and I was deeply confused... and envious of your marker.
Lol...
👍👍
Thank you :)
Praying
Thank you!
I bet the Wizkids shark would look cool on that water tile. Oh Geeze I hope the little guys okay.
That's a cool idea too! He's doing better now thanks.
