    I got one this night,in very good condition and great sounding.Made a deal with a nice German man.Normally,i'm thinking of changing pick-ups when i buy such guitar,but with this one,i leave it like this.They sound already great and match to each other(the Texas Special single coil and the Invader humbucker).Still thinking about replacing with a Two Tone Joe Barden in the brigde position and a Joe Barden lefthand brigde Stratocaster pick-up at the neck.

    I picked up a Squier 2005 '51 (which Fender modeled this one after) for $125. Not counting the pickups (which are pretty dang good), it's 95% the same guitar. Awesome player, and for the price I don't care if I smack it around the stage lol...

    Good review. And a fine player you are too, with a good tone. Makes me want to have one of those very fine guitars. BUT the whole soundchain is interesting. Could you please tell me the name of the overdrive-unit you are using there. Is the name Pinnocio or something !? Thanks! Best regards -

    Japan is considered by most to be just below or equal to american quality. The pawn shop line is being made in mexico now, but I have a pawn shop mustang from the original run in Japan and I love it.

    why the hell isn't this a bigger model with fender??? it's a strat with no bs tremelo and a h-bucker in the bridge! sounds great to me

    • @SRNF
      @SRNF 9 років тому +3

      +RhythmGrizz Mhm true but I think they did have many fixed bridge model. Can't remember if they ever released one with humbuckers though.
      P.S This model from 2011-2013 was built in Japan and the quality is very high. I'd say almost as good as my American strat. (I don't like the polish on neck and fretboard but thats preference) It probably isn't a big hit because most people who buy multiple fenders are generic fanboys and they don't like or want change. The fact that this was originally a squier or that it fuses 2 guitar models together probably puts hardcore fanboys off.
      Me on the other hand, I love it. Great guitar!

    I had no interest in this guitar til I viewed this video. Now I can't stop watching it! You are really getting some sweet sounds! Seems like it can be used for genres other than rock and metal. Does the recording have any processing or compression going on? Thx.

      wampler pinnacle. have bought a used one from some murky dealer in a big convention hall. unfortunately mine turned out to have a fault as there is a constant hiss when i turn it on. nevertheless, apart from that, it has a great tone. Its known for beiing one of the pedals that come closest to the classic "brown sound", having sustained, singing mids. i would recomend to try one, but maybe not from the same dealer ;-)

      JosipRadnik1 One of my rules for myself is to buy certain items brand new. For example... anything electronic (pedals, amps etc). Otherwise you never know what you're getting.

    • @badmotorcycle1415
      @badmotorcycle1415 9 років тому

      I was asking what pedal you were using. Not whether it was new.

      he says wampler pinnacle right in the clip

    Would this be a good guitar for hard rock/ metal, not just bluesy?

    • @JosipRadnik1
      @JosipRadnik1 10 років тому +1

      Hard rock maybe, metal - not really.... it has more of a vintage feel. I have one and use it more for some twangy exercises

      I actually bought one, it's like more for Heavy Metal, but not Trash or Death Metal or heavier things.

      If you like it then the answer is yes. You can use any kind of guitar for any kind of music. The only thing I would recommend would be to change out the pickups to suit the style of music you want to create, but it isn't necessary.

      I agree w Mr Ramsey. My only caveat would be no tone control on this puppy, so put an eq pedal in the chain for bassier metal sounds.

    The Fender Japan guitars, without exception, are comparable or sometimes better in quality than Fender USA guitars, with the exception, of course, of the Fender Custom Shop. Attention to detail borders on the psychotic for made-in-Japan Fenders. You'll find the quality is superior to the made-in-Mexico Fenders.

    Just wish they had this particular guitar in a sunburst finish, but it's still nice though.

  • @NStuffMusic
    @NStuffMusic  13 років тому

    @Aleromero77 They do all still. Mexican, Japan, American. The quality control is good on all, I really like the Mexican stuff for the money!

    I bought one off E-Bay and it's a pretty nice little guitar except for one thing. They will not hold tuning. This is due to the cheap assed tuners Fender uses for this model. So if you want one, you may have to replace the tuners. Other than that they are pretty nice.

    • @jacoobyslaps

      badmotorcycle No issues with the tuners. I needed a new nut.

    You should be grateful. Japanese Fenders have the quality of the American Fenders , only a bit cheaper in price.

    No tone control and only 21 frets, but when I put my hand on the neck I might as well be stroking Salma Hayeks breasts. I bought it it just felt too nice.
