Thanx from sunny South Africa... We give you a run in rugby but you give me a run in sewing... Thanx for Great Xmas vlogmas... I feel part of family and life... Very special
Australia is more known for rugby league, but NZ is definitely your rival in rugby :)
Thanks so much!!!
Your Mom looks Beautiful in her Pattern Emporium top!
She sure does! Thanks so much x
I became obsessed by Michelle Pfeiffers dresses in Dangerous Liasons. My wedding dress was a direct copy. Made by my sister. I loved it!
Oh thats so intriguing! I'm off to look it up!
I loved your mum's blouse Kristen...beautiful! Thank you for sharing glimpses of your life with us x
Loved the wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly in High Society. In my youth, I wanted that dress, although I ended up with something quite different. So many beautiful clothes in that movie. Agreed, mangos and cherries (and nectarines) - Yum!
Love your blouse Dawn. great choice of fabric too. For Christmas this year my family have got me a button hole gauge, chisel and small iron for all the fiddly places. In past years they have got me Klass scissors, duck billed scissors, a sewing machine clock and sewing books. All have been very practical and well received.
A blast from the past seeing the town of Lang Lang 😊 I used to play netball there when I was a kid 😊
I reckon not much would would've changed since then haha :) Lots of new housing estates in the past 10 years though
Thankyou for sharing your soul with us... It's very much appreciated and special... A blessing💖
My pleasure xx
Thanks for a great vlog appreciate your time 😊
I made a lot of “Audrey Hepburn “ clothes in the 60/70’s. Classic and beautiful. I love your Mums top, I haven’t bought that pattern yet! 😊
Wonderful! Oh I hope you have pics of them! Would love to see xx
my husband is a Swifty and went to see the Eras movie. He loved it, too :) Really like yours and your Mum's tops. Had to smile when you held the candle close to the camera, I leaned forward to sniff it, haha! :D
Haha Kaz, love it!
Well done, Dawn! Lovely blouse.
I find that I do appreciate the Style Arc 'Get the Look' section on their website rather than being inspired by movie costumes. I don't find that many actors are the same body shape as me! 😂
I totally agree! They have great inspiration!
While I do get very inspired by the costumes of movies, for me when I was much younger I would love to watch the Anne of Green Gables movies and I would copy the hairstyles. In my 20's I made porcelain dolls and I made one to look like Anne Shirley going to Queens for her entrance exam. I took inspiration for the doll's outfit from the costume in that scene of the movie. I used to make really long maxi skirts when I first started sewing so I'm guessing because I adore period dramas, they inspired me in that sense.
Oh I love Anne of Green Gables too!
It's Okay to Not Be Okay....K-Drama Costumes ..... Female Lead
I’m so glad you enjoyed the concert movie! I have wanted to see a cloak for quite some time and was inspired by the one worn in the movie. I’m also inspired by the burgundy velvet gown worn by Blake Lively in the movie Age of Adaline.
Oh I loved that cloak too!
Natalia Trevino Amaro makes patterns based on Taylor Swift's performances.
Oh I will have to look that up!!
Driving on the opposite side of road with opposite steering wheel.... WEIRD 😅
😂😂😂😂 it would feel the same for us if we drove on the right hand side of the road! ❤❤
