nah man i'll move my hand in a fluid, gradual motion to the left and link goes up and down the harp four times. rhythm or no rhythm that's clearly not working
The boss rush is especially difficult in Hero Mode. There is no way to refill your hearts as every item except your shield is disabled, so even if you have the heart medal and the life medals you can't use them. The best way to make this easier is by drinking Guardian potion+ and have the potion medal before the fights start. This makes you invincible for 9 minutes. (Active potions aren't affected by the item restriction)
15:13 I'll have you know that my wii motion + was semi broken. It often just didn't register an input and i had to shake the wiimote really hard. This minigame was my final boss in this game, and i hated every second of it. I do like the sword motion controls, but forcing players to control the game like that is trash.
15:11 Surface-of-the-sun level hot take from Dry. I remember spending half an hour trying to get that stupid mini game to work a decade ago before discovering the "trick" to beating it. Literally just flailing the wiimote for the entire song cleared the minigame for me on the first try.
god damn you are the first person ive seen beat this game in a playthrough and the games been out for a month, the pace people play this game is ridiculously slow, im talking 5 45 minute episodes to get to the first dungeon
Dry seems to be very passive aggressive about ZFG criticizing any mechanic in Skyward Sword. First he said the Boss Key puzzles were easy and ZFG was just dumb, now he's saying ZFG has no rhythm.
Regarding the harp minigame: I think the hot take was really a hot take I was born in a musical family and played drums for 14 years and graduated with A's in music with drums and percussion as main instrument, and the harp minigame was sooo painful
I think the way it works is that you're not supposed to strum at the exact time that the patrons sway. I watched Venick's hundo run and he seemed to be strumming after. I think Nintendo made it so that there's enough time to see the patrons sway, process, and then strum. My hypothesis is that people try to anticipate and match the sway, but either strum too early and panic strum again or strum "too late" and think they fucked up when in reality that's the proper window of time.
@@wompastompa3692 I haven't played skyward sword in like 10 years but I also remember distinctly that the strumming was done off beat just a bit idk why but I agree that Nintendo probably did it this way to make it ""easier""...... ...

I dunno if it was the music or the editing or the derpy way ZFG was flailing his net but the entire bug catching sequence was just incredibly pleasant
9:14 I love how Link runs out of stamina and can't swing his sword, yet when he does, he uses no stamina
15:11 Based Dry. I have literally never failed that game once, all it takes is a basic ability to follow the beat.
Whoa we got a badass over here

Dry with the hypernova-brain take at 15:11
My heart soared when I saw Dry's hot take at 15:14. Finally someone gets it.
Groose makes this game go from a 0/10 to a 7/10.
Pipit doesn't deserve that girl smh

This is why I like watching ZFG play games. He gets shit done quick and doesn't waste any time.
Pointcrow finished it in like a week or two
@@bigpanda2000 well zfg beat it on launch day, and pointcrow hasn’t finished it on UA-cam

so glad someone in comment section made the ss3 reference

Yes I actually did check zfg's twitter to see if anyone made that edit :^)

cant wait for this to all culminate in a dry vs zfg irl sword fight to the death
zfg would have to pay him if he wanted him to be nice
Dry forgets which one of them has a rock band named after him.

Editor was right. Motion controls never made this game hard.
I dont know whether or not to be happy or sad that this aired on my bday LOL.
If nintendo ever makes the legend of groose I would buy it
Praise Rem_
ZFG, I have to be honest here. You choose the worst dialog options. ;-) Then again they are probably what I'd expect you to say.
Untitled Groose Game
That rhythm game was easy guess some of us are just built different idk
Out of all the Zelda games, this one was always the best looking one. Close second was majora .
gotta say, hard disagree on that. this game's link looks more like a dumbass girl than any link to date, which makes the game unbearable to play.

I fell asleep on skyward sword.
You ended stream not feeling well the other day and it made me sad to hear that. I hope things have gotten better since then zfg.

Doesn't help that the pipin guy is always being a dick to everyone and never helps out in any way, he doesn't even get a groose character arc.
So if I beat Demise first try, does that mean I'm officially better than zfg?
