Though I totally agree with your #1, the final boss for Ocarina of time will always have a special place in my heart. I loved running back through the castle and seeing the whole thing fall apart. It really felt like you needed to defeat this guy or the world was going to end. It was also the first zelda that I beat. Great video as usual!
Skyward Sword’s final battle is: Hoard Battle, Ghirahim, and then Demise is only the final part. However, even that final part alone deserves the number 1 spot imo as it’s the best sword fight in the series.
Fun fact: Majoras Mask is the only 3D zelda game where the final boss isn't killed with a fancy finishing move. Oot: Stabbed in the face MM: ??? WW: Stabbed in the forehead TP: Stabbed in the heart SS: Stabbed in the heart BotW: Shot with a light arrow in the head while Link is airborne.
Great video. My personal ranking would be: 6- Breath of the Wild. I agree with basically anything you said, even though this and MM are my favorite Zelda games. 5- Majora's Mask. I love this game but I expected the final boss to be way harder, since the mask is so intimidating the whole game. When you get to the actual fight... it spends most of the time dancing, it barely attacks you until the last phase. 4- Ocarina of Time. Again, love the game, but having your final boss be a tennis match is one of the worst things I think they could have done lol. They had the perfect build up as you go up the tower and ruined it by making a tennis match. I like the part where you escape the castle and fight Ganon tho. 3- Wind Waker. I love the swordfight at the end but the puppets are kinda lame imo. 2- Skyward Sword. This is the Zelda game I like the least but I used to enjoy replaying the final boss. I guess I like raw swordfights. 1- Twilight Princess. This is what I expected Ocarina of Time's final boss to be, a 1v1 swordfight vs Ganondorf. You even get to fight him while riding your horses! Link with Epona and Ganondorf with his black horse. The fight should be harder but it is too epic and fun. Even puppet zelda is a fixed ocarina of time Ganondorf since it is still a tennis match, but at least zelda uses more attacks other than the yellow energy ball.
6:02 I don't think Link is fighting the mask physically but he is fighting the spirit of Majora itself in some kind of shared mental realm between Link and Majora kupo, my headcanon is that he put on the mask, and that Skull kid had the same fight 3 days earlier and lost his mind after losing to Majora and Link would have met with the same terrible fate if he lost kupo
Even though, I love Mario franchise more than Zelda's. Watching your videos are still super enjoyable. I'm hoping for more of Mario and Ssbu stuffs. Love your vids man. Your channel is surely gonna hit 100k within this year.
THIS IS TRULY AMAZING!!!!!!!!! AMAZING LIST!!!!!!!!! THIS MADE MY DAY GREAT AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!! Even though I know nothing about Zelda!!! But thank you so much for doing this!!! I really appreciate that!!!!!
I have to agree with the N1, it also has the mozt ass kicking music of any boss fight. You get Taiko drums set to Ganondorf walking towards you like a bamf! Then he runs like a stoic. Honestly it's a cool emotional rollercoaster. So it'a normal for it to be the best one.
Absolutely FANTASTIC VIDEO!!! This is why this guy deserves way more subs, I love the intro, your super funny, and you make god reasons for each ranking, and yeah I agree Twilight Princess has the best boss, possibly my favorite boss in any video game!
Great video once again! Glad to see you growing more and more of a following ever since I found you back in December 2020! Now I gotta be real, I have a bit of a hot take with this topic. I've never really gotten the hype behind the Twilight Princess final boss. I guess in addition to the spectacle of the final bosses, for me, story cohesion and buildup and payoff also get taken into account quite a bit for me. And I think that in terms of story cohesion and buildup, this is the weakest of the 6 battles for me. It just feels like nothing but fan service as there's little to nothing Ganondorf has contributed to this game. It feels very tacked on to me. And not to mention that Zelda being there just totally ruins the most emotionally impactful moment of the game where she sacrifices herself so Midna can live. it was an amazing moment and something totally different from any other Zelda game. Yet now she's alive and kidnapped again? Then what was the point? So this final battle already feels so forced and on the nose to me. Meanwhile the final battle with Zant had great buildup and payoff and was a lot of fun. Had they ended it there, it would've been perfect. And ngl, I find the battle phases themselves just kinda decent overall. The last two phases in particular just feel overly drawn out after the castle was destroyed and just feel pointless. The Ganondorf sword fight in particular just felt overly easy and not very satisfying to me. The horseback phase was actually probably my favorite of them all from a gameplay standpoint and really fun since we haven't really had a horseback fight since that first one with the Bokoblin King, but again, just didn't really feel like it fit in with the finale. And yeah, although the possessed Zelda tennis match was a fun continuation of tradition, again, Zelda shouldn't even still be in the story LMAO. So it just didn't fit. The only phase I thoroughly enjoyed while also still fitting into the tone of the story pretty well was the Beast Ganon phase. Still kinda easy but really fun and actually made sense with the context of the story. Although Ganon's inclusion itself felt unnecessary, I could understand a brief cameo from Ganon in a final fight, similar to how A Link to the Past did it, since Zant was an established servant of Ganon similar to Agahnim. So that phase was cool and it actually kinda made sense! So yeah that's my take on the Twilight Princess finale and why it's not that great to me. I know it's an unpopular opinion but yeah sorry, it just is what it is for me. It's actually my least favorite of the final battles sadly. I think Breath of the Wild is arguably a little worse on the payoff front and felt more like spectacle over substance as well, but at least the battle had fantastic buildup and had narrative cohesion and satisfaction in the context of the game. So it got the edge over Twilight Princess for me in that regard. If I were to rank the final battles, I'd say: 1. Majora's Mask 2. Ocarina of Time 3. Wind Waker (These top 3 are really close and interchangeable for me though, they're all amazing in different ways) 4. Skyward Sword 5. Breath of the Wild 6. Twilight Princess But hey, the last thing I wanna do is yuck anyone's yum. I'm glad you loved this fight! Always love sharing and comparing my opinions with yours. Continue making great videos man! You've definitely found your niche!
Skyward sword isnt projectile battle since some people who don't research how to like defeat an enemy they wouldn't really know about how you can get the lightning. I didn't know about it until like the last second so i had to dodge attacks and lightning. i would put this battle second or first
Since the next game is a sequel I bet they will really flesh out the final battle, and the first game final battle is just something that needed to happen for the sequel to hit a big climax. Just a shame if that’s the case because botw really knocked it out of the park on all fronts except for that.
I remember that on my original wii - i had a saved file of TP right before the fight against Ganon so I could go fight him at any time. I never did that with another zelda game - TP Definitely had one of the best battles.
Great list dude. Ocarina of Time will always be my favorite of the Final Bosses but I do admit that's mostly for nostalgia. I still do think it's a great battle regardless of that but I completely agree that Twilight Princess has the best final boss because it's the most epic with the best best setup. It's also the most complex battle overall on the list.
I agree with this list but I would actually rank Majora's Mask Finale Boss above Ocarina of Time just because of the whole aesthetic and phases of the battle. You can go in there with just Normal Link or go in Guns a Blazing with the Fierce Deity Mask and completely own him - There's a lot more going on in this battle than in Ocarina of Time... but the finale battle when Ganondorf turns in his beast form, and the finale blow was incredible.
Botw final boss could have been amazing, but sadly, too easy, I liked the first form, but the dark beast ganon part was way too easy. Also I think you should rank the zelda villains. My favorite is ghirahim
i remember when i be youg and try to fight him i take so many day yeah he be just so hard that i remember that i just look around and try to get more heart because majora be really hard and i be around 8-10 years old in that time more harder to beat that 20 years im born to 1993 but i take take a while in 2000 just for the 4temple to in ikana just for clear the temple and i think we clear the game in around 2001-2002 yeah after a lot of try and alway diying i drop majora and try like the next years and to i dont get the gilden sword and never got the yellowe powder never got the great fairy sword to just the kokiri sword then yeah that be insane hard what i remember to i got like 3-4 pot in 7 not much heart to since he have 4 palace and i never find that much heart i think is be around 10-12
I did the dark beast ganon fight mostly on my eponator zero and the first time i did hik i had not a single arrow left soo.... I couldnt fight him at all
In my opinion majora's Mask Is a Better final boss than ganondorf from ocarina of time because: -It's more challenging -it has more phases(only One more than the One of ocarina of time but whatever) -it's more creepy and the Arena Is more epic and ominous -it has a lot more attacks -it's more interesting and intimidating -the music Is better and Fits perfectly the Battle (the One in ocarina of time Is fitting too,but in majora's Mask the music of the final boss Is better and makes the fight very intense and scary) Remember that It's Only my opinion (Sorry for my bad english i'm italian)
for me i love gananondorf in ocarina of time yeah like u say the lighting and to ganondorf he look dark and only see is white eye that make him scary i remember when i be youg i clear the game with around the same hear like majora mask 10-12 i never got any white heart in each zelda play the game when i be 6-8 years old ganondorf do 4 dmg seriously with 10-12 hear 3 hit and we die got 2 pot play a game is more harder when we are arouind 5-10 years old but when u around 15+ yeah any game can be so easy to clear and yeah in that time we dont get that unbreackable goron sword we paid the 200 for get the sword and 200 praticly all time we is breack
6. Breath of the Wild. Good first phase, but I expected so much more. 2nd phase was underwhelming as heck and landed flat. Very disappointing after an amazing build up to the finale. 5. Majora’s Mask. Good challenging fight without the Fierce Deity Mask, but if you do have it, it’s laughable. Still good fight regardless though. Good setup and build up, but pretty standard as a whole. 4. Twilight Princess. Good fight but extremely overrated. Hardly a build up to Ganondorf at all. Puppet Zelda is a dumb and laughable way to start off the finale. Dark Beast Ganon is good. Horseback fight is mediocre. Sword fight is also pretty dang good. Overall, very mixed bag. Just cause there are more phases doesn’t make the quality of said phases or the stakes of the battles any higher. 3. Ocarina of Time. Great finale. Perfect build up. Memorable in all ways. A little bit more on the simplistic side in terms of gameplay since it’s mostly dead man’s volley, and then hit the tail... but everything else about each phase is wonderfully executed. 2. Wind Waker. (Honestly nearly tied with Ocarina, but will give this one the slight edge). Puppet phases are decent and interesting, but the sword fight is where the stakes have rarely been higher in the series, and the gameplay is incredible. Also the best final blow hands down. 1. Skyward Sword. It makes no sense that you exclude the Hoard Battle and Ghirahim fight from Skyward Sword- yet included Puppet Ganon in Wind Waker. The Hoard Battle and Ghirahim fight are the first two phases and Demise is the final phase. Hoard Battle is incredible- heck, that phase alone inspired Hyrule Warriors. Really puts into perspective how the player has grown more powerful over the adventure. Ghirahim fight has a mediocre start, but once you get to the ground, the sword fight requires thought and skill to get to his weak point. And then after all the build up and two incredible battles already, you get to Demise which is the best sword fight in the series. You can obliterate him if you’re an expert sword fighter or he can obliterate you if you aren’t up to par- it depends on the skill of the player wielding the sword as well as how equipped they are. The final portion with the lightning (if you even manage to figure that out- because I myself didn’t know about the lightning strike secret my first time)... nothing more epic. Truly not a battle more epic and intense in the series than the lightning portion alone where you face the origin of all evil.
My ranking: 6. *Ganon* _(Ocarina of Time)_ 5. *Calamity Ganon* _(Breath of the Wild)_ 4. *Demise* _(Skyward Sword)_ 3. *Majora* _(Majora's Mask)_ 2. *Ganondorf* _(Twilight Princess)_ 1. *Ganondorf* _(The Wind Waker)_ Bosses are a highlight of the Zelda series, especially the 3D ones, and I'm happy to see that so far all the final bosses have been pretty damn solid. Here's hoping Breath of the Wild 2 can give us a really cool final showdown as well!
Twilight princess final battle is so good! Every phase is amazing, and ending with a classic 1v1 sword battle is so perfect. Great vid!
I laughed when I found out you can distract Ganondorf by pulling out your fishing rod XD

The best thing BOTW's final boss battle did was the build up for it
I always love just watching the cutscene that plays before it starts
It would have been nice if there were more phases. If the battle was more like the monk fight from the dlc would be cool

In my opinion majora's Mask Is a Better final boss than ganondorf from ocarina of time because:
-It's more challenging
-it has more phases(only One more than the One of ocarina of time but whatever)
-it's more creepy and the Arena Is more epic and ominous
-it has a lot more attacks
-it's more interesting and intimidating
-the music Is better and Fits perfectly the Battle (the One in ocarina of time Is fitting too,but in majora's Mask the music of the final boss Is better and makes the fight very intense and scary)

Bosses are a highlight of the Zelda series, especially the 3D ones, and I'm happy to see that so far all the final bosses have been pretty damn solid. Here's hoping Breath of the Wild 2 can give us a really cool final showdown as well!
you sould rank the among us map from worst to best
Wind wakers ganon battle
Aren't Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks also considered 3D Zelda games?
Yeah, but he completely forgot them, and is a shame, because the final boss of spirit tracks is top tier
They’re top-down Zelda games, along with A Link Between Worlds. Hence they’re more in line with the 2D entries.
@@manupm9161 Agreed. It has the best final boss theme in the whole franchise.
You did ocarina of Time wrong 😑 it deserves 1 or 2
Bean
Please don't torture yourself by playing the CDI games. I would instead rank all the spongebob seasons 1-13
